    I dont want to judge anyone, but if you are seriously considering to live in some country permanently, and you chose it as residence, I think you need to learn their language, culture, traditions, even if you both are foreigners. It's just respect to this country and the only way for you to be accepted and respected. And i'm certain the most important is not if people are treating you as foreigner or not, but if they are friendly to you. And as i can see, most people in China are friendly to foreigners even in small places where they rarely see such.

      Yes, you are completely right! I am german, moved to UK and learnt english, then I lived in Paris and learned french, went to work in Italy and learnt italian and my last step was to go to Brazil where I learned portughese! As I am passioned about China and would like to visit, I am learning chinese on youtube to be able to communicate with people! Each language is an expression of the mentallity of a nation and to know the people you must be able to interact in their own language!

      The right thing to say is to "put effort" into learning the language , not everyone can or have the ability or the interest to learn a language so quite challenging for many ppl ;know many who have lived here in France for more than ten year but still cant speak french well and find super hard

      I think everyone has ability to learn. Just for some people it may take longer time. And I can say from my own experience it's really not easy to move to another country, and it took me about a year to start to understand and speak well. And it's truth, "Interest is the best teacher".

    Generally, girls can drink for free in nightclubs before 23:00, because the bar owner wants to attract customers. After 11 o'clock, the owner wants the girls to leave because many people drink too much, and it will be troublesome if a quarrel occurs because of the girls. It is also troublesome if they drink too much, and the security guards need to find a taxi to take them home.

    As a white guy married to a Chinese woman, I can relate to the girl from Ukraine. You definitely have to get along with the family and sometimes it can be exhausting. I'm married to a Chinese too but I speak Chinese because I am doing postgraduate studies here. If you're not already, enrole in a Chinese language program at a university in your city. It is intensive , and in addition to language, you also learn culture and some extracurricular activities and by the end of one year you should be advanced enough, or have the needed foundation to do independent study of the language. You'll meet other foreigners too from all backgrounds and all over the world. I am still friends with people I met in my class, (including a fellow foreigner-chinese couple). The key to thriving in China is to stop comparing it to your country, and also make friends of your own outside of family and family friends.

      @@emi62507 unfortunately I’m too busy with my current college courses to also be taking Chinese, but I have been studying on my own for a year and have a solid foundation already. I can communicate basics, but really it’s gonna take me many years before I can communicate my thoughts effectively in Chinese without some language barrier. I don’t need to use Chinese for my relationship, but I do need to use it to communicate with my wife’s family. Given that we are deciding to live in the US, and my wife’s family is in China, it’s not too big of an issue at the moment. It was just challenging and a bit awkward at times when I was in China visiting them and celebrating our marriage.

    geezes, this channel should go viral. It's down-to-earth and informative. We just back from China on a 2.5-week trip ( Guangzhou->Shanghai->Beijing->Chongqing). It's an amazing country! We were drunk every night and walked back to the hotel without any fear of getting robbed, shot, etc. Excellent beer food on the way to the hotel tool. As a foreigner, watch out for the following: The squat toilet, the silent moped zipping through on the pedestrian walkway, dudes coming up to you asking "Do you want massage" girl, angry taxi driver because your VPN is slow as fuk and you're trying to pay him/her via Alipay. For Chongqing, the "hotpot" was not for me. The "real" street food tastes much better. Otherwise, the architecture in Chongqing is simply amazing!

  • @thug4lyfe
    @thug4lyfe 11 дней назад +1

    As an overseas China I would agree it's the same about getting the approval of my parents. I mean, if only my parents like the girl and I don't like her then it's a no no, but if I like her but my parents don't like her then it will probably not work out either. Because in racist Anglosphere countries you and your parents are usually a lonelysphere and they are truly the people that supported you there, hence you cannot marry someone that will make them feel bad because it's not fair for them.

      Девочка с украины. Я могу тебе сказать что она подумала. Мужчины которые слишком слушаются родителей непопулярны, так как считается что они не способны сами принимать решения и еще не сепарировались от семьи. Это однозначно плохо и для своей семьи я хочу быть на первом месте, а не быть второй после родителей. В конце концов не они женятся.

    • @Systems_70
      @Systems_70 23 дня назад +3

      Wrong. It's never been that way on Earth. Men prefer tan women, women prefer white men.
      In Japan, reverse colorism has acted against white women, whose complexions are stigmatized as too pale or "spotted" in comparison to local Asian women.[25] In Southeast Asia, beauty ideals created by Dutch white male colonists placed brown-skinned Asian women above white women in the female beauty standard, leading to the lower socioeconomic status of blond, light-skinned women in Indonesia.[85]
      Bonnie Adrian writes that American culture makes white women feel inferior for having pale complexions and reddish features, and that she risked skin cancer and wrinkles trying to darken her pale skin.[22] According to 21st-century research, women in China have recently asserted tan skin as the new female beauty ideal, which they view as healthier and more attractive. According to Tai Wei Lim, Chinese women in the media now sport bronze complexions, and this is viewed as a reclamation of women's autonomy from the fading Chinese patriarchy.[23]
      According to a 2014 study of Swedish women in Singapore, white women are not fetishized in East Asia, but placed beneath Asian women in the beauty hierarchy. European racial characteristics such as blond hair desexualized Swedish women in Singapore, and made them feel less feminine. Furthermore, their Swedish husbands found local Taiwanese women highly attractive, contributing to the low self esteem of the Swedish women.[75] According to Erica Lorraine Williams, White women in Brazil are considered less attractive than women of color.[76] White Brazilian women have complained that foreign male sex tourists are not interested in them, and that these men prefer brown and black women over White Brazilian women.[76] For this reason, White Brazilian women struggle to compete for the money of male sex tourists.[76]

They don’t believe working hard to pay for their children’s tuitions and save money to help their children to buy house for their children is necessary. For Chinese is very common and they do thaeir for the next generation and the next and next generation is the motivation and purpose in their life . If the family is well established they involve the choice of their son and daughter makes but if they are below average class , parents don’t really have much too say . I think you have a very misunderstood perception of Chinese men looking through most of it using western lenses.
    Like you I also grew up in the west but I lived in China for many years as an adult and really integrated myself with the locals.
    For one, the Chinese men that are only looking for sex on dating sites is no different than the men from western countries on dating sites. Dating sites are not an ideal solution for finding a real relationship.
    Most of my Chinese local friends are actually quite respectful towards western women and are serious about dating them.
    Also in response to your perception of most Chinese men all being super shy, that is far from the truth. When you have a population of over 1 billion people, you are going to meet all sorts of different people if you integrate yourself with them.
    Some of the Chinese men that I befriended are actually no different than western men when it comes to being confident and assertive.

      Yeah you’re right, I don’t believe that either, but than again the states is very diverse is term of culture and being westernize. It’s more or less depending of the individual person of caring to the extreme or less about the financial status of the male partner.
      Regarding in China it’s typical that Chinese woman are looking for a strong/wealthy male partner. They are concern and uptight about a men financially status. One of the woman in the video mention that it’s common the guys comes approach and introducing their CV/ family financial situation.

      I didn’t say girls don’t care about money at all, but money is not the only thing that matters in a relationship. In China, guys think if they have money they can date anyone. But it doesn’t work for me. I don’t care how much money you have. I look at the personality, humor, intellect, and the way the guy treats me at first, and money is not the most important part. I don’t care how much the guy earns, his salary has nothing to do with me, he should just have enough for the necessities (I said it but it was cut from the video). Btw I’m proudly married to a Chinese person 😅

    ask some that actually know, they will tell you about real cultural differences. because the 1st 5% is just talking about "apartment, salary, which school" etc. is still the "nice stuff".
    but life gets pretty real after dating or marriage and then western women realize they have noting in common with Chinese men. not even topics to talk about. and that can be eye opening.
    ok, some are different but if you see the majority it's still pretty traditional. Guy is the head of the family and he only wants his wife to adore him, not be equal or even challenge him. Many girls saw this at first date and said no to the guy. they mostly said there are no common topics to talk about.

      What's with the bashing of Chinese men? Sounds like you're trying to push an agenda. Are you even Chinese? Firstly, there are more Slavic women than Western women in Chìna. They tend to be interested and open minded to the culture and learn the language. It's very arrogant and ignorant of you to automatically assume a Chinese man and Western women have no common ground. Do individuals not have different taste in movies, music, interests, and hobbies? Many Chinese men have lived in the West or Europe, so are familiar with the cultural differences anyway. As for your "head of the family" hogwash, you have clearly not heard of the Chinese saying: Women hold up half the sky. If you are implying China is male dominated, then go and compare American politicians Chinese ones. America is dominated by males in the lesdership roles, while China has a split of men and women. Your comment is full of generalisations.

    Western women have a hard time dating in SE Asia. Western women who are 4s and think they are 9s can sometimes get away with that in the west. But in SE Asia the competition is much tougher. SE Asian women are petite, feminine and supportive of men. They are not infected by the woke virus and do not talk endlessly about the patriarchy.

    @AidenQiu / @PRINCEOFCN : Mate, I hate to say it, but you should really consider taking a few courses in journalism. The way you react during some of those interviews came off a bit awkward, and you tried to put things in their mouth or challenge what they say too aggressively. In some cases, you had put some of those interviewees in a rather uncomfortable position. Another thing is that you seem to cut people's statements half-way (to save time?), but you had allocated more time trying to sus out people's languages, which is not central to the discussion topic. Not shit talking you in any way, don't get me wrong - I like the content you cover, but I'm sure you would agree as I would that it's always better to be better trained and prepared than not.
