Hugging in the West isn’t usually practiced with new friends but between people who already know each other, we don’t just run around hugging everyone we meet,
true true, but close friends hug when they see each other, not common in China tho, especially if my female friends they have boyfriend, guys can't hug them for greeting
As a middle aged male from Europe, I often feel hugging is unfitting or even ackward....unless it's with a girlfriend or parents(or very close friends). I much prefer a good handshake, to greet anyone I'm not in a social close relation with = 🤝 Hugging "everyone" is a growing trend, I personally noticed younger generations(and specifically with girls) seems to have incorporated more and more, into their greetings habits.
An interesting thing I've noticed as a trend in many of these types of interviews, is that they put a heavy focus on the foreign partner to understand their culture, but generally seem to ignore that this is a two way street, and that a 50/50 would obviously be expected in terms of cultural integration. For instance, if you asked people in Denmark, I doubt any would, at least as part of the first round of inputs, mention that the foreign partner should be expected to understand and fit with Danish culture. Perhaps very broad things would be mentioned - equal rights, women can have a career, that type of stuff. But apart from that, I doubt anything would really come up. But with interviews regarding Chinese people and Korean people (I've noticed it especially for these specific cultures), that always seems to be brought up. Even if you look at Japanese interviews, it will usually more be of the lines of "Maybe it would be difficult for us to to understand each others culture" or "I'm afraid that it would be difficult for me to integrate into their culture" - but with Korean and Chinese, it seems very focused on their own culture as the expected default and standard, instead of a 50/50.
Enlightening. I believe it also depends on how you meet Chinese girls. I have met Chinese girls on Chinese chat programs and Chinese living abroad. My experience dating Chinese girls mostly in their 30's and I being in my 50's at the time was a positive experience for both. I do believe the only way it works for a foreign man as myself that DOESN"T speak Chinese is find Chinese girls that do speak English. I don't know the percentage that do in China but I have not had difficult finding Chinese girls that don't speak English. I think just being respectful of Chinese culture goes a long way with Chinese girls willing to date foreigners. Be willing to learn something about China and don't be that arrogant foreigner by making unfounded comments of their culture or country especially if you don't know much about it. China has a long history and the ladies are well educated. I have never found a Chinese girl who is unwilling to go on at least one date and be open to dating foreigners. I also feel Chinese girls in their 30's have a curiosity and open mind because of previous experiences with Chinese men (many bad). What many Chinese girls told me is they were unhappy with Chinese men because they either weren't romantic enough or they cheated on them. This is not to say western men or foreigners don't cheat, but it seemed to me that the Chinese girls I knew FELT that western foreigners would be less likely to cheat or this would be their reason to date foreign men (perhaps to see if foreign men were more faithful). I think men will do what they do more because of their personality than culture, because from what I know of men everywhere is men will be men. If I was Chinese living in China it would be like a Candy Store to me. China has very breautiful women and the temptation to cheat would be high so while Chinese girls I dated used this as a reason to look outside their comfort zones, I'm not sure they would find that western men were any more perfect in this way. However, it's an opportunity to date a Chinese girl that is using their past negative experience with Chinese men to explore dating foreigners. I will just say there was NO shortage of Chinese girls speaking English willing to date a foreigner. Most I dated had NOT dated a foreigner before and I was their first. What I learned was this. Chinese girls are loyal and will give of themselves if they feel treated well (meaning equally), and you listen to what they have to say. They love a partnerfship in relationships where both parties contribute to the relationship. They aren't shy about love at all and because I chatted with them online before we met we had many of the issues about hugging, kissing or treating each other in a comfortable way evern on the first date. I think chat programs open the door to avoiding so many issues before you ever consider meeting that once you do meet you already know the personality of that person so well it's like you knew them for years. Trust me, I never had issues after a first date. My dates were always comfortable with Chinese girls. Also, I became an expert on China and living in China from these ladies who educated me on everything China. Once I learned much about China I could talk like an expert on it impressing even the most reserved Chinese girl. They love it when you KNOW their country as a foreigner. It shows you are interested in their culture and history. Don't be the ugly foreigner who says things like America is NUMBER 1 because every country has good and bad.. American and China are no exception, but try to find the good rather than the bad and these girls will really want to date you or be your soulmate eventually. I have also found if you try you'll find decent hard working Chinese girls. I found Chinese girls have appreciated when I paid on the first date, but I have asked them if they were willing to pay for theirs and I pay for mine on a first date (which they call AA, we call dutch). Many were willing when I explained my reason for doing this. Unfortunately with the internet dating scene some women have come to abuse the system. Some women will date men with no intention of really wanting to date or be with them, but it's a free meal in a nice restaurant. They used it as kind of way to suupplement their income. I would let the Chinese girls know my reason as mentioned and many of them agreed to go AA or dutch to prove to me they weren't looking to take advantage of the situation. IF they passed this little test, then I would show them how generous I am in future dates. It kind of tells you they really want ot be with you and not trying to do what some bad ones might do. I'll finish up by saying that it's NOT difficult to find a Chinese girl willing to date a foreigner (at least with my experience between the ages of 30-45). Use common sense when selecting which girls to date and I'm certain you can find a Chinese girl that will satisfy you and be a loyal companion or soulmate. Asian girls have seemed to match my American personality better than American girls do. Don't let cultureal backgrounds stand in the way. I never saw it as a problem and if anything , Chinese girls were easy to understand. They are open and not much different in what they want out of life. Next time ask girls What’s the first thing they notice in guys? What’s more important - looks or confidence? How many dates before they would kiss a guy?
I think they all said they were not bothered by looks. Confidence is always key. You need confidence to progress in life generally. Just believe "i can do it"
So many western people have stereotypes that Chinese are very very short and nobody is above 5 feet. In order to enlighten them you can also make videos about asking Chinese their height. I don't think Chinese are that short.
Chinese are pretty tall, just came back from Shanghai and I see many 180cm and taller guys. Even the girls seem pretty tall as well, much taller than southeast asians
I feel that it’s the older generations who are more on the short side (on average). The younger generations tend to be taller. Also as mentioned before, the northerners are quite tall on average (speaking as a southerner).
If you really want an honest answer about this, the interview has to be conducted by a foreigner, as in a Western (caucasian) guy. IME, a Chinese girl, will not easily admit to liking foreigners to someone of her own culture, especially with a camera in her face. After 7 years in China's larger cities, I can say that most of them (especially the well-educated ones) like to be with Western guys. Be it for dating, FWB or just ONS.
Respect Chinese opinions. Don't try to discredit them when you get butthurt when you hear they prefer their own kind. And don't say the "educated" ones prefer Western guys. That's BS. The educated ones are the ones who prefer their own kind because they know Western guys are BS.
@@bldomainim gay and hooked up with plenty of Chinese men (on the down low) when I visited. They definitely have softer bums than American men. But culture is very different of course. Im a top, and sometimes bottom. Respect their culture and you'll be fine.
You should be asking why there is a preponderance of Western men marrying Chinese women but not the other way round. A lot has to do with racism/superiority complex of Western men coupled with hypocrisy. If you look back far enough, the US even passed a law forbidding miscegenation between Chinese men and Western women. This is no longer the case but the sense of superiority still exists.
actually, most of the western women living long term in China are willing to date Chinese men. And Chinese men are also more open to date foreign women. In Shanghai I see many AMWF couple, a lot more than in the past 10 years. In social media AMWF couple are also gaining more popularity.
The Chinese women that he is interviewing would not be able to answer your questions. But to answer your question. It’s mainly due to dating preferences. Most western men are quite fond the idea of dating Asian women and some even have yellow fever. The opposite exists for Asian women as well as some of them either white-washed or prefer dating western men in general. However that is usually not the case with western women. As the majority are just not attracted to Asian men. So naturally, you are going to see way fewer Asian men dating/marrying Western Women.
@@tuppenceworth5485 most are, but there are increasing amount of non slavic western women liking China now and in the near future. Once they see the truth and visited China, many changed their mind about China and Chinese people.
@@turtlesoup8134 We're not talking about Western women liking China. We're talking about why there are more Western men marrying Chinese women than the other way round. As it takes two to tango, Chinese women must be as inviting and willing partners to any relationship but the reverse is not the case. The irony is children of Chinese women and Western men tend to inherit more of the mother's looks while the offsprings of of Western women and Chinese men could easily pass as 100% Caucasian.

@@aiden_qiuuit's Great! and This leads to my next question, which country do you think would give you a higher success rate dating a Western woman as a Chinese man, between mainland China and Thailand?
Chinese people feel so distant from me. Questions like "how much should he earn" are very prevalent in this type of videos and people will always have an answer. I'm from Latin America, people here don't care about how much you earn when you're just getting to know each other. It probably has to do with everyone being poor and the thought of having a car or a house is just a dream for most people, so no one really expects it when dating and it's just a nice plus when you find someone who does. Of course, most people value having a partner with a steady job because it means they can take care of themselves, which is an attractive quality, but other than that... we don't really care about money. It IS important, but it's not something that would come up in an interview like this if it was made in here.
Thank you for your share, so from a Chinese perspective. We know there a lot in Latin America countries people are known of the very positive vibe. however, there are many pressures younger generation have to face from the old generation. I think now more people realize the true meaning of life is being happy
I am a western male and when it comes to girls who I am attracted to just by their 'looks', I think I would have been helpless if a Chinese girl had ever wanted to date me. There are hardly any Chinese girls I don't find incredibly attractive.

@@artugertmy Chinese gf would just fart around me all day. She thought it was cute. The farts were really rank, and she would stink the bathroom up too after a boo boo. How is your hygiene experience?
That depends on how well they know you. They are much more shy, so wouldn't dare be impolite to someone that don't know well, especially a foreigner, since they generally care about giving foreigners a good impression of Chinese people.
A very curious and unexpected difference between this interview and interviews I usually see with Korean and Japanese Women is that pretty much only the first girl said straight up she would prefer a Chinese man to a foreigner, and even her explanation was in line with the tone that the other girls had: more than the ethnicity, they seemed more preoccupied with the knowledge that a potential foreigner suitor had of Chinese culture and customs. A fairly stark difference from the interview channels on Korea and Japan where usually is most of the women saying outright they would not want a foreigner as a partner and the few that do are either very open about having a foreigner fetish.
As a Chinese, I used to think Japanese, Korea, and Chinese women are quite similar, like the mindset, guess I have to do some more research on other country's interviews.
I've come to realize it's not just about having knowledge of the culture, but being able to actually assimilate to the culture. I have been married to a Taiwanese woman for 7 years, and I think I understand the culture pretty well, but I have grown up with a very different culture and values, and I don't necessarily want to do things the way she would like me to. When two people from very different cultures get married, there needs to be a lot of compromise, ideally on both sides, and you can meet somewhere in the middle. It's not easy!
The girl from Northern China is correct that girls in the Northern parts, like Shanxi or Harbin city are very different than girls from Shenzhen or Hong Kong. Much more direct and friendly and are less emotional than southern girls. They also tend to be more light skinned, tall, slim and beautiful. However, they have stronger personalities and if you upset them, they will act quite hostile and literally start beating up their boyfriends. I'm not joking, I have been there many times and speak Mandarin so I can understand conversations I'm not supposed to hear.
To be honest, it will be extremely difficult to live your life with westerner. Sometimes you are attracted but you forgot that Westerners are so free in their lives. That's not their fault but their upbringing has belittled the family value or family sanctity. Family betrayal is not something new in the Western culture even sometimes it is a topic of pride for some people. Sex to many different partners and infected by genital diseases are quite rampant. So, I think the best is Westerners just marry their kind and Chinese marry their kind. It will be more suitable. Having said that there are some good inter married that are successful and end well. But to be honest, maybe only 5% out of all the marriages. I have so many friends who are in this category and 95% of them regret to have married off different nationalities due to different cultures and morality.
The truth would piss you off, but also set you free. Not many people have the opportunity to meet other cultures, so I guess only a small percentage amount of people about to have interracial or cross culture marriage. Thanks for sharing

My golf partner is originally hong kong chinese.....i find her funny and uncomplicated.......except when it comes to choosing something ie course to play or game to play, its always "you decide".
The red hair girl was a catch. She's super fit and willing to split the bill? nice
100/10
Thr first girl says she more traditional and less western, with her guichi bag and starbucks. Yeah
That's no starbucks bro and also that bag looks fake to me,and also Shandong is indeed a very traditional province
Having Starbucks and Gucci bag does not mean that you can't be traditional. Thats correlation right there
Fake gucci is traditional tho
In a shopping mall, in Western clothing, talking into a microphone, that will be uploaded via telecommunications, and put on RUclips. I can't take them seriously
Nah, every single chinese girl says that. You gotta learn to take their words with a pinch of salt
First person in history to want to go to Holland for the "Geography". Next big dream destination, Nebraska?
Your English is great man 👍
Now go to the ghetto in Atlanta or Chicago and interview the girls there…would be fun experiment😅
I found this channel difficult to follow the subtitles are too quick and I don’t understand what is being said, maybe you could leave the subtitles on a bit longer next time
will do thank you fir feedback ~
I live close the Dutch boarder and I am often in the Netherlands. The guys are ALL tall there and are often good looking on top of that and I say that as a straight guy, so I think the first lady will change her opinion once she was there. 😅
dope interview man u mind adding the subtiltes directly within the youtube platform instead? i'm trying to level up my chinese vocab lol so i can copy n paste the characters n shii
I would try thank you!
I like that you mentioned "don't be a d-bag", it was a successful video, thanks for all your hard work editing!
Next time I would say d-bad as well🫶🏻
Great video. Although I am a U.S. citizen, I’m not exactly sure what a d-bag is, but I assume it is an arrogant or narcissistic person, like our likely next president.
Nice interviewing man !!
This is funny! You cannot just ask these girls out front without them having absolutely zero experience with a foreign guy! I’m a good guy, in 10yrs I have never cheated my wife, same with my father and my grandfather
My friend you so beautiful video thank you so much
Wow that high schooler is very mature for her age in both appearance and thinking.
As a middle aged white male from Europe, I often feel hugging is unfitting or even ackward....unless it's with a girlfriend or parents(or very close friends).
I much prefer a good handshake, to greet anyone I'm not in a social close relation with = 🤝
Hugging "everyone" is possibly a growing trend, I personally noticed younger generations(and specifically with girls in my case) seems to have incorporated more and more, into their default greetings habits.
Ok, scratching China off my list.
Next time ask girls
What’s the first thing they notice in guys?
What’s more important - looks or confidence?
How many dates before they would kiss a guy?
I think they all said they were not bothered by looks. Confidence is always key. You need confidence to progress in life generally. Just believe "i can do it"
@@AndrewN75 I agree! My confidence has changed completely since I started cold approaching a year ago!
Good job Aiden !
So many western people have stereotypes that Chinese are very very short and nobody is above 5 feet. In order to enlighten them you can also make videos about asking Chinese their height. I don't think Chinese are that short.
I'm 5'1" 😊
Down south is shorter, northern people are a lot taller
Chinese are pretty tall, just came back from Shanghai and I see many 180cm and taller guys. Even the girls seem pretty tall as well, much taller than southeast asians
@hayabusa1329 Again I'm 5'1" 3 of my sisters are under 5' brother is 5'3" and yes we're Chinese ethnically
Woman in black is very thoughtful and insightful lol
@@turtlesoup8134 Most of them are East European Slavic women, not Western women.

Modern women are similar everywhere because they consume the same (American) culture and follow identical trends
Not really, most consumed media in Asia nowadays is Korean or from their native country.
@@polevanidr Country origin doesn't really matter because all these nations have been thoroughly influenced by the global American behemoth. Even when they come up with something original, its still American in substance.
@@marko1263So you're saying Kdramas, Japanese dramas, and Chinese dramas which contain an all-Asian cast and can be set in the older eras are inspired by American media? Lmao. You kind of contradicted yourself there when you called them original, but "American in substance" whatever that means. The most American comment I've ever read.
Correct
Nice video! I also want to know you Brother Qiu , Do you want to date Western woman?
Of course my friend
@@aiden_qiuuit's Great! and This leads to my next question, which country do you think would give you a higher success rate dating a Western woman as a Chinese man, between mainland China and Thailand?
There is Asian hate going on in western countries. Good luck with that.
It’s feels nice to explore but home is where we want to be in the end 😅
Yes, Chinese people's thinking about romance and relationships couldn't be more different from Latin culture!
I am a western male and when it comes to girls who I am attracted to just by their 'looks', I think I would have been helpless if a Chinese girl had ever wanted to date me. There are hardly any Chinese girls I don't find incredibly attractive.
I wish more westerners were like u, i hate seeing WMAF couples

Maybe she has a Disney view on the Netherlands or just wants to meet the tall Dutch men
They want American Chinese to marry them and bring them to The USA.

It's good to know that Chinese wahmen are no different than Western wahmen. @2:22 says it all.

I still think the average Chinese girl is still more polite than average American or Canadian woman.
That depends on how well they know you. They are much more shy, so wouldn't dare be impolite to someone that don't know well, especially a foreigner, since they generally care about giving foreigners a good impression of Chinese people.
@@artugert Most of the attitude ones I have noticed are in Hong Kong and Singapore. Mainland China is still pretty good.
Honestly right now am dating a Chinese woman in Canada she is so sweet I've always wanted to have a Chinese woman in my life 🧬

Totally agree with you, if you like tough girls, go for a northern girl

You obviously haven't been to Japan. As a Christian American I couldn't disagree more with your comment
