  • I tried to win an Ursula this month at the Disney Lorcana Set Championships for set 4 Ursula's Revenge, and I failed! Does this make me a terrible player? Did i just draw terribly? Take a look at the decks I played this month and the ways I self sabotaged myself that kept me from winning an Set Championship this set.
Support your local game stores! Over this month I played at:
    - Games of Berkeley
    - Victory Point Cafe
    - Forgotten Path Games
    - DVY Collectables
    - Gabi's Olympic Cards and Games
    - Games Parlor SF

Thank you for this video. We did play one time on real play network, and I remember you being very creative with your deck. You have the drive to improve. I believe in you.

I think the coaching you need is just all mental. You know the cards. You know the meta. Pick one deck. Stick to it. Know the colors inside and out. Iron sharpens iron so just keep grinding. It will get better.

I 100% agree with this. I sabatoge myself and I get tilted

We are just getting started!! As you said at the end, we play against top players so we have the privilege to learn from them every week. Onwards!

That's the plan. Made 2 top 8s yesterday. So we are getting better!

@@TakeRefuge I feel the same! Didn't get any Ursulas this time, but consistently made Top 8/bubble so I feel like my skill is a lot better even if the results don't show it yet.

Sometimes no matter what you do the cards don't go your way.

Thanks for your vulnerability, I relate a lot to this! It’s tough coming in to the TCG space for the first time when there are people who have decades of experience

I always try to be open about my experiences because I know there are tons of other people with the same experiences.

@@TakeRefuge after 4 set champs without making top 4, and a DLC also not playing great, I keep reassuring myself that a lot of other people have probably grinded just as hard at TCG’s with less success than I have had

Pick 15 cards use 4x of each and then modify from there. :)

That's usually where I start when I'm deck building. But I ultimately don't think Deckbuilding is my problem. Its mental and consistent play. I get really defeated mentally when my board gets blown up or when my hand gets completely discarded by bucky. Or when I go on a loosing streak with a deck I've been playing. I need to get better at admitting variance happens, and i should keep at the decks i've been practicing.
