The speed and precision of Adam Rupp is on a superhuman level. I can't even wrap my brain around it.
I whole-heartedly agree that this song was just so catchy and so dang fun. I'll at least be humming this song at work, which will take the place of their version of Colder Weather that was previously tormenting my co-workers. Thank you for the analysis of this song - which I can't imagine was easy to concentrate on. :)
Thanks for your reaction & analysis. What another great original song! Love the nostalgic feel of this song & the video. They mention a few of the country greats in this song. Also think it is a nod to the great baseball legend Babe Ruth. Austin sings about Willie (Nelson) at one point. Think his braids are an homage to Willie. Love Tim's lower tone in the verse he sings. And Adam is awesome as usual. These guys are so talented & in a league by themselves.

Hi Darlin! I hope all is well with your channel. The mouth covering done by Adam is to put slight pressure on his lips to create a kind of reed imitation like wind instruments have. I'm sure you have found out by now all of the people that they have immortalized in this song. You have Austin with the braids is imitating Willy Nelson, and then the whole baseball portion is a commemoration to Babe Ruth, in how he would point to where he would hit his home run. Tim of course, commemorates Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places"
I notice that Austin does that little " Ha" in some songs. He did it on the sing off, i don't remember what song but i love it ❤️ 😊

im like you ,ive been singing this song since i first heard it. I wish you would do ( castleon the hill live) lancastor pa. The audio is really good. Its really cool because they show how they use a looper, plus Chance sings alot. Cant wait to hear your new song.

I love this original song & its video. Including the names & songs of country artists is such clever song writing. Austin's braids are a nod to Willie Nelson. The boys playing baseball reference Babe Ruth & even their scenes are sepia toned to reflect the era. Now that the hacking issues are taken care of, I would encourage you to gto back and really watch the video. Some of us think it's a hat tip to Babe Ruth before he got money and fame. Also check out how he just DESTROYS that baseball.
Listen again, most of those higher notes are Rob. Austin is singing lead at same time high notes come in.
It really does not sound like Rob., They might have done some magic with it.

Jen, I'm curious on your input on this as a performer and vocal coach. I noticed in this video and in Playing with fire, when Austin is in the lower side (for him since he's normally in the rafters) his voice sounds a little bit less "full," especially at the ends of phrases. So when he says lights, you don't even really hear the S, a lot of the letters in the last word of a phrase aren't getting fully sung or they are very soft. I've never really noticed this before in other songs, and I don't notice it when he's in his higher range. I was curious if you had a technical explanation for this? It's not a criticism, just an observation. and I figured with his level of expertise he's doing it for some reason so I was curious what you thought? Or is it just simply, that's how he felt like singing that. I'm curious if it maybe has something to do with the vocal folds or something like that, since his range is typically very high.
I think maybe Amberly makes a good muse; Austin's writing gets better and better.
