Our "Fabulous Five" definitely deserve so much more exposure and fame! But we Home Fries appreciate that the guys continue to stay grounded and approachable even as their stars continue to rise❣️🎼🥰🎶❤ Wishing our Home Free fellas all the success and fame they desire 🤩
Yes, this an original from their "So Long Dixie" album, where 12 out of 14 of the tracks are original. A few of them feature instruments as well. As far as charting, most radio stations turn their noses up at a capella groups for some reason, BUT Home Free has won some awards.
Because they are not on a big label and are acapella they do not get played on the radio and therefore are not on the charts with other music. That was kind of the message in this song, "Hey mister DJ, I have a bone to pick with you." In spite of that they have a large world wide fan base and tour all over the world. Austin released a solo project with guitar accompaniment which hit the charts in Australia and England. In fact I believe it was # one in England. It's called "Whats Hers ain't Mine." Their last album was mostly originals which included, So Long Dixie, Road Sweet Road, The Star Gazer Trilogy: Give Me A Sign, Star Gazer Lilies and MR. There are several other originals, all of them are as good as anything you would hear on the radio today. By all means check them out. You will find some new favorites when you do. Looking forward to seeing your reactions to them.
“Land of the Free”, “Understand”, “Give Me a Sign” is a short list of recommendations of Home Free originals. There are several Christmas ones that will be good to do in a couple months.
Timeless is one of my favorite originals, but my all time favorite is the newer trilogy, Stargazer Lily, written by Austin. They sound is beautiful and the lyrics are amazing, it shows how talented Austin is at songwriting. I would advise you to react to all three songs of the trilogy in order they were released, Give Me A Sign, Stargazer Lilies, and MR. I think you'll be impressed.
What another great original song! Love the nostalgic feel of this song & the video. They mention a few of the country greats in this song. Austin sings about Willie (Nelson) at one point. Think his braids are an homage to Willie. Love Tim's lower tone in the verse he sings. And Adam is awesome as usual. These guys are so talented & in a league by themselves.
My best guess on this video is they are referencing Babe Ruth,Luke Bryan Garth Brooks Willie Neilson. They have a lot of originals Remember My Name Playing With Fire Skull And Bones Might As Well Be Me Stargazer Trilogy Give Me A Sign (1 ) Stargazer Lilies (2) MR ( mister) ( 3) Givin Up On You ft Texas Hill So Long Dixie Road Sweet Road Understand Save The World What’s Left Of My Heart Dreamer Land Of The Free Warmest Winter Snow Globe Cold Hard Cash What We Need Is Love Quarantine Dive Bar Saints Cross That Bridge Why Not Champagne Taste (On A Beer Budget) Love Me Like That What’s The World Coming To Lonely Girls World Catch Me If You Can Leave This Town Remember This It Looks Good Timeless Crazy Life (Lego Video) Full Of Cheer When You Walk In I’m probably missing a lot
They don't do covers, they do upgrades! Another original video recently released is "Playing With Fire". ALL of their originals are great. Also, Adam Rupp grows his hair out occasionally to donate for cancer patient wigs..
Another great Home Free original. Including the names & songs of country singers is such clever song writing! Austin's braids are a nod to Willie Nelson. The boys playing baseball reference Babe Ruth and even the scenes of them are sepia toned to evoke the era. Of course the singing, harmonies and incomparable beatboxing are terrific - it's Home Free!
As already mentioned, radio will not play a capella, however, their last album last year came out and hit #1 on the country chart. Their last 3 before that also hit in the top 5 as well (I think #2?). So they do chart. They were inducted into the CMA in 2014 and have been invited to play the Grand Ole Opry/The Ryman, several times. So they are well known among the country elite. - As for their covers... usually when bands do covers, they keep the song recognizable but try to make it their own. As the saying goes, "if you want to hear the original, go listen to the original". So it's pretty normal to expect a song sung differently, hopefully, not too different that it destroys the original. Then you can enjoy both; the old and new. Maybe that will help you enjoy their covers more? I hope? Trace Atkins, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, The Oaks, Alabama, Vince Gil, Cam - just to name a few, have given them cool shout-outs on FB and Twitter after covering one of their songs. Diana Ross invited them to sing at her huge 75th birthday celebration among all the stars. And, of course, they have sung with Kenny Rogers, Don McLean, The Oaks, Charlie Daniels, Alabama and more. Love the reactions! Keep them coming. Thx!!
On their latest album So Long Dixie 12 of the 14 songs are originals. They have quite a few originals. Well, he mentioned Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Garth Brooks and Willie Nelson and the little boy was Babe Ruth who used to point to where he would hit the ball. So, we’re hoping they’ll be big like them someday!!! Glad to see you in headphones. Love Home Free and they sing all genres of music not just country. Playing with Fire, I Can’t Outrun You, Helplessly Hoping, One Man Band, In the Blood.
A cappella doesn’t often get radio play. Not using instruments makes it less optimal for broadcast. Some HF songs and albums have hit Billboard. Top 200 (album) Full of Cheer Full of (Even More) Cheer Crazy Life Timeless Dive Bar Saints So Long Dixie Country Evolution Those, plus these 3 albums hit Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart Warmest Winter Sounds of Lockdown Land of the Free And all of the albums listed above were on the Top Country Albums chart. Individual songs that hit the charts have been Christian, Christmas or Patriotic.
Check out some more originals "Timeless","Dreamer", "Remember This", "I've Seen", "What Is This World Coming To?" and a funny one to look at is "Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget"
You wont hear Home Free on radio, they are independent artists. They actually had a label but decided it made more sense for them to buy themselves out of their contract. So while they do get on the charts because of their albums it's nowhere were it should be
These boys have always paid homage for the folks who have come before them just look at the Oke Ridge Boys witch are there mentors in which they sang Elvira with them and they have sang with many other artists like Don Mclain, Kenny Rodgers, Lee Greenwood, and many other artists. Great reaction guys.
Being independent artists by choice, and a cappella, radio stations pretty much ignore them. But if you want to get a glimpse of their popularity, watch their recent live release of "Sea Shanty Medley" and look at the size of the audience! They are currently on tour in Europe, and their global fan base is clamoring for tickets. It's understandable that you have not been aware of them, but now you are! Hurray -- keep following them, you will be constantly surprised at the range of their talents and skills.
Sigh... sadly, you don't hear HF on the radio for several reasons, like they are independent and not promoted by a record company and radio stations don't know what to do with unicorns (namely, a country a capella group). Their CDs chart well on Billboard's Country Music charts. And I think that they may chart on Apple Music, but someone will know better than I.
Another original…that’s SMOKIN’ … HOT….Austin wrote it….&, the fire dancers are pretty “warm”Too🙃🔥‼️🔥🙃…..”PLAYING WITH FIRE”…..🔥🔥🔥💗🔥🔥🔥 Everyone loves Austin’s “Willie braids”….too Kool 💗‼️🔥‼️💗 Oh, another jewel….”STARGAZER TRILOGY”……Chapter I….”GIVE ME A SIGN”…….Chapter II…”STARGAZER LILIES”……Chapter III…”MR”………….These 3 were also written by Austin 💗🔥💗‼️
You want some of their originals ? Here ya go off the top of my head....I see Lynn gave a pretty good list of their originals...I can't think of any others not on that list, it's pretty comprehensive
Nashville makes you or breaks you. They had been given a recording deal when they won the Sing-Off, but they got screwed, so they have forged ahead and made a career on RUclips. They are presently touring Europe. Radio seems to have little interest in acapella groups. But, really....who listens to radio anymore? They have played the Ryman Auditorium at least 3 times that I know of, and performed with some icons....Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Rogers, Lee Greenwood and Don Maclean.
they do have sooo many great songs! Dive Bar Saints, How do you want to remember this, and Timeless. Some of my favorite songs and i believe all 3 are originals but could be mistaken on the last 2.
Immediately left your channel when you made a "blanket" statement about Home Free only doing covers, when this is an original you're going to listen to How ignorant and disrespectful. I can tell this is a one woman show since she is the most opinionated of the two reactors. Lady, maybe just shut it for once. As a Home Fry, I am not amused.
Our "Fabulous Five" definitely deserve so much more exposure and fame! But we Home Fries appreciate that the guys continue to stay grounded and approachable even as their stars continue to rise❣️🎼🥰🎶❤

It's said that Babe Ruth would point to where he was going to hit the ball - the batter's gesture & their clothing would seem to point to him.

I like how Tim described it, a Record Deal is just a loan that you have to pay back.
Austin wrote this song. He and/or Tim wrote 8 of the songs on their last album - called 'So Long Dixie'.
PLAYING WITH FIRE, MIGHT AS WELL BE ME, LOADS OF ORIGINALS
These boys have always paid homage for the folks who have come before them just look at the Oke Ridge Boys witch are there mentors in which they sang Elvira with them and they have sang with many other artists like Don Mclain, Kenny Rodgers, Lee Greenwood, and many other artists. I think that boy is supposed to be Babe Ruth. The pointing to where his ball was going to go is a dead giveaway.

This is a unbelievable song. These guys are so talented. CK out Might As Well Be Me this is a very silly video.❤️❤️❤️
🤘🤠🤘
This is a tribute to Country Stars by Austin including Willie Nelson the video was from their production team.
You have to check out butts medley / remix by homefree
I’m not sure they know the original songs well enough to understand that “Butts” is a toned down parody, and not a distasteful, misogynist rant.
I don't knew why but I'm not into Home free? I've tried so many times but i guess it's just not for me? Sorry y'all 😞
