This is so important for people who are inspired to be successful in their lives to know the journey other people went through in order to be the person they are today. Sharing honestly and openly takes a lot of courage because it opens you up to criticism, but it’s incredibly important to do. This is fundamental! It is important to speak about these experiences and shed light on topics such as sexual abuse, whether it involves boys or girls, and whether it happened in the past or is happening now. It is imperative to SPEAK UP! Such issues often get swept under the rug by those who are supposed to protect us as children or teens, or they go unnoticed.
    Men speaking about their experiences with sexual abuse not only conveys an important message but also dismantles the stereotype that only men are sexual predators. Women can be sexual predators too, and in my eyes, they are often the worst kind because they go undetected and unnoticed.
    There is so much to unpack in this interview. It is a valid and necessary conversation for the evolution, healing, and well-being of our young boys and men moving forward.

    • @iChocolateberry
      @iChocolateberry 5 месяцев назад +15

      Another important point, which I will address frankly, is the cultural aspect, especially within the Black community (as I am a Black, West Indian, woman and very much aware of this context). There is a toxic culture associated with this issue that many people do not discuss. It is often seen as a rite of passage or an initiation, like a "badge of honor," to engage with older women.
      In some cases, Black males in the family may encourage this behavior because they do not want the boy to be perceived as gay or to be gay, or they see the act as a way to become a man. Not only is this act inappropriate but IS; sexual cohesion.
      I understand that THIS, I know this, and at times coming from our older heads. It needs to stop!

The small amount of men were sexually abused also so cut it out. These women get away with it in white communities like the teachers and the black community women get away with it. Stop trying to acting if men are supporting it even if some did they will say they were sexually victims also so of course they continue to push it forward. Duh.

I’m breaking the chain so my 13 yr old son doesn’t have to.❤️ I absolutely think it’s imperative to listen to all sides of the debate before you can make an informed decision on where you stand. It’s OK to agree to disagree and still be friends. Not apologizing for showing up as your authentic self instead of who you think everybody expects you to be. People not being afraid to take the time to engage in deep meaningful conversation. Time is precious, stop wasting it putting down someone else, being jealous of someone else or with other meaningless conversation. Thank you Steve for an amazing podcast? He just interviewed a man who drugged and assaulted a 15-year-old girl by name of Jessica Reid, he and his buddies. He goes on to have a successful career and life. Jessica will forever live a lifetime of nightmare. Because no one stands up for her she's not on someone's podcast. watch the Tasha k interview with Jessica Reid. CTG. Is a liar. A monster. If you look at him and listen to him real closely you can see most of his stories are fabricated. Here's a man openly admitted to using Spanish fly and alcohol so that he can take advantage of women while they're asleep. I wouldn't trust anything that comes out of this guy's mouth. Is living proof that the devil is amongst us

    Again I do not understand these thumbnails and wording about trauma and abuse. We need to be sensitive to people's stories they've confided in you by talking about it in your podcast. You should treasure that! Not exploit it. People are supposed to click because he got molested? Honestly lack of tact and compassion. Please revise your wording and your thumbnails and think more about which audience you want to read this and watch people who are sensationalists and looking for drama or those looking to be inspired?
