KTC always seems to have great prices I really wish they were selling directly here in my Country too but sadly they don't and I just upgraded to a Xioami G pro 27i Mini LED which is around 375$ so I am seeing real HDR for the first time but there are a few stupid quirks that I had to overcome since it sux on desktop which I spend most of my time on for work and it gets too dim when HDR is enabled and they disable brightness settings when its on which I just don't get but I can increase brightness via the Nvidia Control Panel which helps a ton but I would have been willing to spend a bit more for a 500$ OLED.
Every VA panel comes with a boosted black level by default. I think it is the gamma the way it produces. You should reduce the black level manually to make it look like an IPS. The most annoying feature of VA is black smearing and ghosting. Hopefully they will get rid of all those flaws in the future.
It depends also what environment you play in. I play in a very dark space, and IPS just looks awful in that environment. A good VA looks better there, but OLED is amazing. That pesky burn-in though.
Honestly burn is not hard to manage as long as you have a variety of games and content. Ive had my oled tv for over 2 years and no sign of burn in. Also i have this monitor since April and its built in features are good at mitigating burn in as well. Newer oled panels have come a long way with burn in issues
@Bdot888 If I eventually get OLED, I'll run dark mode, auto hide Taskbar, black background, lower brightness. I have a feeling that added care from the user, with newer tech, and it's not a problem. Like you're saying.
Ok. Now question for you Toasty/PC Bros folks that saw the eye test. I currently have a 27-inch 4k/HDR/144Hz Acer Predator monitor. Do you think it’s worth getting an 32-inch OLED 1440p monitor instead or stay in my current lane?
When i bought my 4k TV, there were two next to each other and i was comparing everything. One was last year's model, the other was the current year's. You really had to look to see the difference. I went with the cheaper model. When i got home, there was nothing to compare it to and it looked freaking amazing. Saved 300 bucks.
Burn in on oled is not as bad as it was in the beginning. They have implemented a lot of tech to alleviate that problem. But does that tech exist on the cheaper brands? Idk.
This model does have a few features to alleviate burn in from happening over time, theres a Broll clip near the end of the video showing the idle screen (kind of like a TV lol)
Its actually not just from the OLED care technologies, they've also changed the type of tech that powers the "backlight" of each pixel in OLEDs which last much longer now.
have the Acer, got it on tiktok shop for $180 on Black Friday ($195 after fees). Love everything about it except the stand it comes with. It makes the monitor lean to the right. Panel looks great, perfect for my Alienware M16 and PS5
I do have to admit I had to pass a couple times till which one was OLED but I think I have an easier time telling than others and therefore I think I want one thanks for making this video and showing me that my decision to buy an expensive oil monitor is the white one for me
While that particular Acer panel isn't especially vibrant, there are some pretty vibrant VA panels out there, and I absolutely loathe the trash contrast and backlight glow on IPS panels. That LG demo says it all. If you play a lot of games with dark scenes (like horror), IPS is the worst (unless it has a good local dimming feature with it). VA panels have their own shortcomings but I tried an IPS screen once, played some Fallout 4 on it, and as soon as it turned to night time in the game, I said "never again" to IPS.
I got my first prebuilt back during COVID and got a Strix VG32VC VA panel, 32" 1440p 165Hz. to pair with it. My next monitor will be a 32" 4k OLED, and its not even close. WOW.

tn panels are almost dead now, they are TERRIBLE and outdated panel technology, IPS and VA have matured to the point where TN just isn't worth whatever pixel response time advantage you get

If you get an ips monitor with local dimming zones then it gets pretty close to oled contrast, but unfortunately budget ips just lack in the contrast department without those dimming zones. Thats why VA panels exist for better contrast even without local dimming

Nerd? LOL, had they polled the workers in a well lit room the OLED would done much worse than it did, and it didn't review all that well as is Thats why they dimmed the lights Who does this as part of a review and doesn't tell their viewers thats why they did it?????

If you haven't played on a OLED then you won't know the difference colors are more vibrant and you can tell side by side but by itself you won't notice I'm happy with my 34 inch IPS ultra wide
For the few hours of gaming I do a week I cannot justify $500 for a monitor. I am sure the market is great for it, but its not for me. If I gamed for a living and every day, maybe.
I honestly use my TV....which is also OLED but is also a TV for when I'm not gaming. I couldn't justify purchasing a monitor, especially for that price. Buuuuut any less than that and my TV is probably better for gaming anyway
People in gaming, especially on PC, they harp on about FPS, and make out that FPS is be all, end all of gaming. Now, if you are playing a competitive shooter, or online racing.... I can agree and see that FPS is important, as well as IL and RT. When you go from 30fps too 60fps, the difference is huge. When you go from 60fps too 120fps, it is a noticeable jump, but you notice it more funnily enough when you drop from 120fps plus, down too 60fps, than you first notice going too 120fps. But the screen you play on is JUST as important as frames. I liken it too people that don't rate HDR, or they say they have a TV/Monitor with HDR and they think it is crap, that is more down too a cheap model than the technology itself. Let me tell you, and it is what my pal noticed. I have a 4K LG Oled C3 TV and an LG Ultragear Oled monitor, both with HDR. My pals, they were these morons that believed your eyes don't see in 4K, or people that think Oled is a rip off. One owns a 4K 65'' JVC TV, the others own AOC and Koorui Monitors. It was only when they saw me playing BO6, BF, and a game as old as Skyrim on my Oled monitor and TV, did their jaws literally drop. My mate Scaff said, ''It's like a different game'', the other pal said about CoD ''why doesn't my game look like this'', and he is on a way more powerful PC than mine. They all have now got either Oled TV's or Monitors, because the jump too Oled, is beyond comprehension, unless you actually witness it yourself. I just find it so strange, that so many in 2024, want too brag about how many frames they get, brag about their CPU, GPU combo, brag about their consoles or the fact they have a PS5 Pro or monster PC..... But very few actually care as much about WHAT THEY PLAY IT ON! If you haven't made the jump too 4K by now, in some capacity, you are an idiot. If you CAN afford it but still choose NOT too play on an Oled, you are nothing short of a moron.
Idk I don't think it's worth it. I have an Odyssey 32inch 1440p 144hz monitor I got like 3 years ago and it's great but I wouldn't say it's 4 times the price great. My son's 120hz ips display is also great and I could've bought like 4 of them for the price of mine. Just depends on what's important to you I guess 🤷🏾
Comparison testing,???? The OLED would have scored worse among your employees in a well lit room They still picked the dirt cheap monitors in some cases Plus, dirt cheap monitors have poor / low specs You can get much better specs cheaper than the OLED Its kinda like Amateur team VS Pro team on an uneven playing field
The ktc one has a matte finish and is woled so no it wouldn’t look worse in a well lit room it’s quite the opposite, this is what you pick over a glossy oled for your exact argument.

I just snagged a rog 1440p 240hz 1000nit oled for under 500 on eBay and I think it’s ruined all other monitors for me.
Great price! Once you go oled you cant go back!
I got the ktc in this video for $500 off eBay as well and same the inky blacks are soooo good
@@puffyips yes the contrast of an oled panel never gets old!
@ nice!
I recently bought a Samsung neo G8 240hz micro-LED 32-inch monitor. Fantastic picture. It's the most future proof part of my set up.
The Samsung's are pretty awesome
@@Conumdrum Most of the monitors on the market are rebranded Samsung. 32 inches is just right.
It's miniLED not microLED. MicroLEDs are over 100 inches and cost $100,000+.
@@fidelisitor8953 All apologies monitor guru.
OLED monitor is probably the single biggest upgrade you can do to a gaming set up no joke
Can you do mini led vs oled
VA panels have their own shortcomings but I tried an IPS screen once, played some Fallout 4 on it, and as soon as it turned to night time in the game, I said "never again" to IPS.
good comparison
The Arzopa has pretty bad light bleeding around the edge of the display.
Yeah, it really stood out when we were doing the oled test, I imagine more expensive IPS monitors wouldn't be as bad.
from what i look online its because its a ELED (edged led) that's maybe why it got light bleeding from the edges
@@pixelmeme461 Just about every cheap LCD display is edge lit. It's common on cheap TVs too.
I got my first prebuilt back during COVID and got a Strix VG32VC VA panel, 32" 1440p 165Hz. to pair with it. My next monitor will be a 32" 4k OLED, and its not even close. WOW.
With the vibrancy of colors, that IPS monitor would also serve well in content creation, I.e. video and photo editing.
im using a 1080p alienware monitor and my brother has a 1440p dell monitor and when i use my pc and then use his after i cant even tell a difference in screen quality maybe if they were side by side i could tell. i will probably be using 1080p for many more years
There was a AOC OLED for $399, so you're about $100 off lol.
Still using a Dell S2716DG and 50 inch TCL 60hz 4k and 4070 ti ha.. I think it's at least 10 years old. I believe I paid like $600+ from Dell at the time. Just now looking for an upgrade and I don't really know why.
I got an Agon qd oled 240hz 0.03ms response monitor for 399 on bfriday 😎
27 inch 1440p oled 240hz or 32 inch 4K ips 144hz, I have a 4080 so I’m wondering which to lean towards
100% 27 inch oled 240hz
OLED is the way.
You will like the 1440p oled better long term honestly! I have this KTC monitor paired with a 4070ti and every game is vibrant and buttery smooth
I got my LG UltraGear 45GS96QB 45" OLED 240hz 0.03 GTG for $1100 2 months ago. I'll never go back
Dude. No joke, saw a kid his father and his mother (mother was paying) idk who got the same monitor you did. But it was at best buy and it was full price. Like what is it $1700? They paid the full price. When the samsung oled was $700 cheaper.... I wanted to say something 😂
I got a 180hz 1440p 31.5in panel for 150 dollars
Should have threw in a tn panel as well. But Matt was already saying it looked better before even opening the box.
tn panels are almost dead now, they are TERRIBLE and outdated panel technology, IPS and VA have matured to the point where TN just isn't worth whatever pixel response time advantage you get
How about xiaomi mini LED display that could go a little bit above 200$ some times, and a little bit over 300 other times
Yeah i'd be looking at minileds too. AOC g3xmn also another good one.
I'm waiting for cheap ultra wide OLED monitor to upgrade to.😅 Something around 300 and less.
Wish they reviewed the Innocn 32M2V.
LG Ultragear OLED Gaming Monitor 27GS93QE, ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG, PHILIPS Evnia 27M2N8500-27 alternatives if KTC is not sold in your region.
Could do a “$750 budget baller setup” with one of these monitors and an intel 580 build. Entry level might be making a come back and I’ve to see oled coming down
That'll be hard id think. Maybe $1000 build (though I haven't seen the price of the monitor)
I thought about buying an oled this Black Friday but I bought a $200 ips 1440p 240hz one instead I’ll buy oled once max oled is out and they’re cheaper
just snagged a curved 31.5" 1440p 144mhz off the Acer refurb ebay store... (everything I've ever bought there has been brand new) for $119 ...to replace my 9 year old 27" Acer 1080p monitor that still is working perfectly...SOMEDAY I'll spring for an OLED, because that is the shizzle, but for now...bang for your buck wise...I'm feeling good about it...
27" is the perfect size for me. (That's what she said) 32" starts to mess with my eyes lol.
oled has better blacks meaning colour pops better, have an oled 4k tv and im never going back, on pc though im on a budget and itl be a ips for me :P
It would be worth it more to buy an oled tv just for movies. For gaming ill stick to my MSI 4k 120hz monitor.
It would be worth it to buy an OLED TV for movies *and games. I game on my Samsung S93C at 4K 144hz True HDR
I think the the ARZOPA 27 inch 1440p 180hz is the best because of the accurate colors and darkness and on top of all it's budget friendly
Definitely hard to beat for the price!
For the price this monitor is amazing
Hiya matt and jackson me and my wife both enjoy watching ur videos i bought a gaming pc for my wife from ebay but it turned up with nothing working so am on the look out for a good mid range pc to play all the esports titels plus aaa games elden ring call of duty warzone ect can i ask do u ship ur pcs to the uk my wife keeps saying she wants a pc built by u both and feels that she can trust that she will get an amazing pc at a great price keep up the good work guys enjoying the content emensley have a great christmas and a happy new year 🎅🎅🤶🤶❄❄🎄🎄
I have a VA and a TN panel and I watch movies and strategy games on the VA @100hz and only use the TN for FPS @144hz. Never really liked the brightness of IPS monitors and OLED with burn in and price is just not for me.
IPS does do worse with blacks, but when you turn on HDR it makes a HECK of a difference
If you get an ips monitor with local dimming zones then it gets pretty close to oled contrast, but unfortunately budget ips just lack in the contrast department without those dimming zones. Thats why VA panels exist for better contrast even without local dimming
I had an HDR600 IPS and it looked DISGUSTING compared to my New HDR400 OLED, dark scenes made it look like it was some cheap knockoff, even though it was a 800 dollar samsung G70A
@@yesyes-om1po Of course OLED is gonna look better than IPS, I was just saying using HDR makes the colors on IPS better than without.
@@origamifolder2255 I meant that I was handicapping my OLED and it still smoked my old IPS, made it look like a washed out mess in dark scenes, it didn't even look brighter
Well the problem is you compare it to a woled panel
Comparing them to a quantum dot OLED would be completely different the color saturation and the brightness over 1617 nits on my Samsung s95 C is insane I will never go back to a regular OLED panel
For most people before you spend $500 on a monitor and you have a RX 6600 XT or a 1660 super put that money in to buying a better GPU and that will greatly improve your game experience
7:09 Arzopa...or whatever It's called. 14:45 IPS
VA panel has ghosting
OLED all the way, wont be buying any more LCD based tv's period.
I never really cared all that much until I got the LG G3 TV and started watching movies with it.
Contrast is king.
I agree! Oled really changed my perspective when I first got a LG C2 in 2022. Now i cant look at regular led panels the same
Lets compare some of the cheapest, basic monitors on the market to,,,,,, The best screen technology to date at a much higher price point with much better specs Gee, I wonder which monitor will be better?
The point of the video is not which is better, obviously the oled is, its how MUCH better is it for the price
You used a Dark Room to demonstrate / test your employees opinions , you didn't address that one of the biggest drawbacks of OLEDs is they are not great in bright rooms Which most rooms are fairly bright , The video has little point in my opinion, higher end comparisons would have given viewers something to work with, as is, who needs a video to figure out the obvious
@@PCrealitysNerd
Nerd? LOL, had they polled the workers in a well lit room the OLED would done much worse than it did, and it didn't review all that well as is Thats why they dimmed the lights Who does this as part of a review and doesn't tell their viewers thats why they did it?????
@@PCrealitys "dark room" bro you can tell the difference ON VIDEO even with the studio lighting earlier in the video, just accept it, OLED is better than IPS and VA...
how about doing a video like this comparing OLED to mini-led they are almost the same prices
Toasty bros are the best
I’m late but day 5 maybe? Ima just say W vid🙏🏽
First I bought an OLED tv, then an LG Curve OLED HDR 42 inch screen for my desk. (was€3000 but paid €1200) There is no way I could go back to anything other than OLED.
If you haven't played on a OLED then you won't know the difference colors are more vibrant and you can tell side by side but by itself you won't notice I'm happy with my 34 inch IPS ultra wide
Trust me, even budget oled, it looks way better than any ips any day. Once your eyes glued to it there is no turning back to ips
Ips is still the best bang💨 for your buck 💵 but Oled is definitely 👑
25” 500hz OLED when?
For the few hours of gaming I do a week I cannot justify $500 for a monitor. I am sure the market is great for it, but its not for me. If I gamed for a living and every day, maybe.
I honestly use my TV....which is also OLED but is also a TV for when I'm not gaming. I couldn't justify purchasing a monitor, especially for that price. Buuuuut any less than that and my TV is probably better for gaming anyway
If you have the money for it buy an oled. Nothing else compares, if you’re an enthusiast and play a lot it’s worth it. Enhances the experience for me.
The issue with budget OLEDs is the terrible text clarity.
Haven’t had that issue with the ktc but I don’t use it for productivity, just gaming and photo editing
It's quite funny how my phone has fhd+ 120hz OLED display and it looks way better than my 1440p VA 165hz pc monitor
Pretty much everything looks better than a VA panel
the AG276QZD2 is cheaper.
Here I am, watching from my egregiously expensive 4K ASUS PG32UCDM , the LEAST budget monitor XD
give us 1080p OLED monitor
they don't exist, atleast not modern OLED panels.
I got a G6 for a really good price
nice video
I got the asus 27aqdmg for cheaper than this. 550$ .
Arzopa when you say it rzopa it means A$$ in russian 😂 😂
Once you go OLED you won't want anything else
What if you just get a 100 dollar oled tv?
once you go true black you never go back to milky grey
Oled. Can’t go back once you have one.
Nice
Comparison testing,???? The OLED would have scored worse among your employees in a well lit room They still picked the dirt cheap monitors in some cases Plus, dirt cheap monitors have poor / low specs You can get much better specs cheaper than the OLED Its kinda like Amateur team VS Pro team on an uneven playing field
The ktc one has a matte finish and is woled so no it wouldn’t look worse in a well lit room it’s quite the opposite, this is what you pick over a glossy oled for your exact argument.
you made me laugh puffyips, they shut off the lights because they had too
@@joemorgan8436 dude your just COPING, you can literally see ON CAMERA how much better the OLED looks compared to the rest of the panel techs, OLED will always beat VA and IPS...
