It is indeed clever, but doesn't this basically violate the point of it being SFF? I mean low profile cards are good. RX6400 - RTX A2000 n' RTX 4060 sff. But still arguable if we took recycling and budget in account.
I just got my hands on one of those HP SFF(Small Form Factor) mini PC's. My work friend was tossing it because it ran like crap. Come to find out it was using a full size mechanical HDD as the boot drive. I threw in a 256Gb NVME a secondary 4tb HDD, a low profile Quadro p1000 4gb card, 16gb of RAM 7th Gen i5 and W11 Pro (all stuff I had lying around the shop). This is now the PC attached to my TV and used as my media computer. Great little system.
@strydyrhellzrydyr1345 haha it is the actual pc that is being used. Just without the modification. Look up HP Prodesk SFF desktop computer. SFF stands for small form factor.
@@strydyrhellzrydyr1345 Look up HP Prodesk SFF (small form factor) 600 series. The computer in this video is based on that model. They are extremely affordable office PC's. In my original post I should have said SFF rather than mini the HP mini PCs are even smaller.
BROOOOO... NOOO. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY adore having that PC... I would pay for it immediately... Please man. I think the look is damn near perfect for what i. Like
Appreciate these vids guys. Just got into pc building in the last couple years at almost 40 y.o. I understand now when people say once you build your first your hooked. Your vids have helped me learn so much. Thanks
It's an interesting idea to add more options to these office PCs that can't support full sized GPUs. I think they could have designed it a bit better. For instance, if the GPU housing came to the top of the Optiplex, to me, that would look better. Also, a half ventilated/tempered glass side panel would be great, better airflow and you could still see inside. Just some thoughts.
They do that with optiplexes a LOT which I funny understand why, but honestly it is kinda neat. Put since better hardware in it, and it would be a great machine!
@@origamifolder2255 I agree. I would have gone with a 5800x and an AMD Radeon 6800xt. Both of those parts can be had for dirt cheap. Get some good DDR4 and you'd have a killer little PC.
FYI that GPU is a Alibaba/Aliexpress OEM, I've seen them produce 3060M. They just different chips under the almost same PCB and heatsink. It's overall cheap materials if you ever come to teardown of the gpu.
In regards to the video, The pc lights were great, very 80's future tech. This is a creative way(low marks for no airflow vents) to get a bigger gpu working with a ssf desktop. A newer gen intel cpu would be better. I highly recommend the 8th gen i5 and i7 series and higher, 6 cores can really make a difference. But i know $$$. Most of the cheaper office pc's are 7th gen and older. I found a lenovo ideacentre 510 on bid at a low price($43+20ship). Lenovo Idea center 510 have limits (only 2 dims) low air flow, and needing a new psu.- (preferably a lenovo 500w with a 10 pin connector). If a third party psu is used the pc wont turn off properly even with a cable 24 to 10 pin converter. I had to return mine, it would use one ram slot at a time and would still fail after some use in windows with only one dimm. I read it may have been that the cpu may be bad wouldn't except two ram dimms. I didn't want to buy another cpu. Though It's still a debate whether a new bid is better than a rebuild office pc. Depends what you have on hand, but these used office pc's generally need a new psu and are limiting on the physical size of the GPU. I've found the 1660s and ti to be the best bang for the buck used at about $100 and they are a smaller card with a low tdp. At this point I'd rather build with a new case using a mix of used and new components.
Interesting idea. Maybe if they let the gpu have air holes, giving it better temps and maybe overclocking past the default clocks for better performance.
yall are aware that the increase in price is how business, labor and fees work right? just like if you were buying furniture and didn't want to assemble it yourself, you're able to pay people to do it for you. but yes thanks for stating the obvious
Rivals you should set the SSGI to high, not lumen mind you, and Textures and models to high or medium, depending on VRAM. Shadows always medium or they don't exist, and low on all other settings.
Love the video, been subscribed since forever, but please the camera man should try too keep more steady the constant moving around is making me nauseous, and the constant moving around makes camera and me hard to focus
yo bros luv di channel long time fan. i like the addition. different then the ones i came up with for my channel. dont like what they charge for their mod though. its good to see somebody coming up with a way to use full size cards with sff pcs. wish i could find the addition and front panels separate.
it's might be crap by today standart of gaming but this pc would probably run most if not every games I really want to play the most. I don't even care for next gen games , what I had the most fun with recently are games like webfishing , Selaco , Cultic , Miside and Fantasian Neo Dimmension that are all titles that can run on potatoes.
My 2 boys run good homebuilt rigs but honestly my little one would freak out with the wow factor of this case. $650 could be wasted on worse than on this pc.
The core concept is commendable, though I'd rather see some paintjobs on the cases instead of all that RGB garbage, better choice of components (why 32 GB RAM on this thing?) and definitely low-profile GPUs for SFF machines instead of that tumor/riser contraption.
is it worth $600 no... but is it a clever way to make ewaste useable again with some character yes... if it was cheaper it would be a awesome rig for a batocera build for ur living room
It is sold out because you bought the only one LOL. I actually kind of dreamt of mounting the gpu outside of an sff. I did not think anyone would actually go that far. I mean for all of that effort you could just do a case swap.
thats crazy im pushing 100 plus fps in matches in marvels rising on my 2060 and 10750h i make sure my nvidia control panel and system performance settings are set to max performance and ingame setting i use since its an fps game so dlss performance and everything on low capped at 144 no frame gen mode off
this might out perform the pcs you guys have with integrated graphics? Did anyone try going into the bios to see if they could make the cpu use all it's voltage or speed up the ram?
I got my first gaming pc of from techmagnet and I got a i5 4690k and gt 1030 really bad and the power supply fan was broken so it would overheat and turn off
I actually like the way it looks a lot, if it ditched that signature silver HP "optiplex" strip and went full black i think it'd be clean tbh. Maybe i just have shit taste lmao
If only we could get merch with PCs + Cars mixed. A skyline on board trace of some shit lol side note, I feel like you would geek out over one of my cars lmao
They say this pc is stupid but people buy pc cases that are in a shape of a shoe 😂
now that's a clever way of getting around the size limitations on SFF office pcs.

The case looks awesome
Who else has been watching Toasty Bros for a while ✋
Prob like 2 years now
i think im on like 2-3 years they give me my computer building fix lolol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 no cap
3 years they have great build ideas for when I’m bored.
I've been watching for a few years now and bought my first pc from them a year and half ago and love it.
@@BenjaminBlack-ee4mi nice, i made my custom
The design is freaking awesome, even if it's a hot box. The next internation would of course be adding hidden airflow

I actually like the way it looks it’s cool
Expected delivery approximately 9 months.
lol Do you live in Antarctica?
Certainly a.... Specimen of a PC, I don't even know if Specimen describes the absolute amalgam of a PC

Add a triangle up top and make this pc a house from Illumination.

This is $400 PC, if that. Anything more not worth it.
the pc itself is worth like 50 dollars, the gpu is like 150?, the mods to the case are worth 1000 dollars, they think, i bet lol

this is worth it for that sweet RGB alone.
I like the concept.
I think it looks pretty good. For plug and play system i can def see why people would buy it.
This thing was awful. Building a PC starting from a HP Envy with an i5 10400. I really hope mine ends up vastly better, or I may live in shame.
its not a optiplex its a hp eli desk
They're kinda similar tbh
That rounded silver front with horrible power button and usb ports
I freakin' love this. I actually had a plan to do something exactly like this haha.

that look sick hope i can get one here in australia
Great build
"Not until now" lmao I love the outside input :s
Have been working on a project pc where i convinced a dual fan rx 7700 to fit inside a lenovo m90s sff. No tumor.
I'm ngl I like how it looks, that's where my compliments end
Certainly a unique build
4:47 It's probably an M3 instead of a #6-32 - thinner with more fine thread pitch. How have you not seen this before in PC building..?

Sorry about that! Will try experimenting recording in higher framerates to help try and smooth out the videos. Sometimes it gets a little chaotic😅
Better and cheaper than my PlayStation 5 PRO

"In this scene, Rodney Robot is running away from trash because he became magnetized after attempting to enter bigwells inventing emporium."
yes
Honestly, regardless, I think this thing looks really cool! 😂❤ I would buy it just to have it as a conversation piece!
They would probably be better off just manufacturing an outer case which will fit the Optiplex internal frame along with a GPU.
its like adding onto a house, needed a bedroom for the step kid 😂😂
I saw this pop up on Walmart a few weeks ago and immediately thought it needed a Toasty Bros appearance. 😂
Glad I stayed awake a little longer to see this video

If you're going to create an entirely separate housing for the gpu, you at least need to put in a reasonable gpu for that price. Like a 6750xt
man i tell yah, im loving the case design.... just upgrade mobo cpu GOLDEN.....
A for effort and design...D for execution and shipping...the scoffing is a little over the top
The HP 6th gen is a better build than some of your optiplex builds but ya the goofy housing and price definitely flush it down the toilet.

The pc is freaking audible in this video yeeesh
you should restart game after applying FSR, otherwise its gonna be 50% fps of what it is, just restart next time, little bug of game
One day this channel will be at 1m subs
I love this case
That looks really cool for real! Well done.
