@Carl Alexander thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I'll never forget the first time I watched one of your packing videos.. (as a Canadian) I was really surprised and impressed that you were able to fit 10 pairs of pants into such a small packing cube. After watching more packing videos, it clicked that the term pants could also mean something else in the U.K hahaha
This backpack videos really help getting another opinion on what to bring for travels and not bring so much extra stuff (which i tend to do oops) so thank you!!
A very good tip on a padlock, always have one that you dont need a key for it, but just numbers. It was a bit of a stress when I lost my key of a padlock 😂
Smartwools are pretty common at the thrift stores here, always listed at .99c! I generally don't buy socks thrifted, but I make an exception for these since I'm saving $14-19 USD a pair 😂 they're actually the best socks!
I loved learning what you thought about the things you packed, what you used and what not so much, very handy information for aspiring minimal travellers.
I've been hiking and camping a lot this year so my packing has been focused on that type of trip, and it's sooo funny to see your list of clothes you ended up sending back to the UK as that alones was more clothes than I bring with me when hiking, and then your puffy jacket goes back and my mind goes 'noooo what if it gets cold at night!' lol I suppose if it gets cold at night... You just go inside! I love learning from this kind of travel though, there's a lot of tips that work for hostelling as well as hiking (especially since I don't really go into the wilderness and it's more of a mixed city and countryside type trip for me).
I actually ended up buying the North face trainers when u did your packing video as I did a Asia trip earlier this year and needed some good footwear. They are INCREDIBLE, didn't ever have sore feet even, when I was walking for hours. Thank you so much 😀 x
I love that you show the clothes you bring! I always feel like I have to buy the super expensive travel clothes bigger channels push on views and you look awesome in typical clothes! Before you I thought I all my clothes had to be hundreds on dollars to last on a backpacking trip 😅
I could watch your videos all day. You’re so real and I’m just loving watching all your travels until we can all safely see the world again. Also you manage to make packing seem fun, I find I rewatch your packing videos regularly ! Hope you are well!
I took your Bum Bag to Paris with me. Of course I wasn't doing any backpacking but I like to carry any and all necessities with me AT ALL TIMES. I had a copy of my passport, a mini perfume bottle, chapstick, gum, keys, money (coins and a credit card just in case), train tickets, medicine, passes. You name it, I had it. And the bag wasn't even full! I just wore my jacket over it and nobody even noticed it. I will be using this again!
I love these videos so much! I don’t know what it is about knowing what someone chose to bring with them for months, but it is so dang satisfying! Thank you, Christianne ❤️
Can you do a video of what you usually wear on a nightout while backpacking?? I feel like it's hard to know because you dont want to be too dressed up or to causal!
Birkenstock does now sell waterproof sandals, they just look like the normal ones but are made out of rubber material. Thinking about getting a pair! Can‘t wait for the restock, I’ll definitely need the bumbag and I’m hoping for a new product (maybe a jumpsuit? 😍) Great video, it‘s very helpful 💋
The smaller lock is a TSA lock which means that anybody can go and purchase the master key that the TSA use to unlock it. I would not recommend that for your hostel lock. I would just get a smaller gauge lock.
I absolutely love watching these type of videos! Just seeing what worked or what wasn't really needed for a trip ❤️ I love getting smarter about packing (even though I go somewhere maybe once every 3 years and just for a couple days lol)
They're expensive, but the Matador Soap Bar Case are the best for space saving! I just clip them onto my bag if they're wet inside, but in theory you can put them straight in a toiletry bag.
The more I watch your videos, the more I want to travel the world! I just wanted to thank you for all the amazing tips! I’m definitely getting the Eagle Creek 40L backpack when I’m off the road!! ❤️
You really are efficient withe backpack! I can’t believe those shampoo and conditioner bars lasted that long and are still pretty big. Good deal. So daily vlogs now?
Loved this! I'm curious about how much it cost to send things home? I live in the US so I bet it would be different, but I'm still curious how much you had to pay for that. That section of the video talking through what you sent home was VITAL when it came to me deciding what I might leave at home as I am planning a 2021 backpacking trip in South America. :) I would also love if you did videos on "hostel hacks" with tips on how to make a hostel bearable like I've seen people make curtains on bottom bunks for example. Would also love a video on what your learning Spanish journey has been like for you :)
Oh My god!!!!! you are gonna love it, Mexico is so beautiful and the people are extremely nice. Great choice. Looking forward to your content from Mexico YEAYYYY!!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing! I’ve been binging on all your videos in Colombia. I’m from Ecuador and I go every summer to see my family but we’re going to be in Colombia for about a week and I’m planning on staying there hopefully for the whole month of July before I have to come back home. I find this video so helpful because I do tend to overpack! I did a 3 week trip in the fall where I visited Italy, Greece, Paris, and Madrid. Oh man I packed sooo much but if def learned my lesson since my bag was so heavy hahah. Anyway love your videos!
I know this video is from earlier this year, but I just found it and really appreciate it. I'm thinking of getting the Osprey fairview 40 for my Japan and Phillipines trip. Really worried it would be too small, but after seeing what you can fit in it I'm now convinced ❤
Learn how to sew pockets into side seams. You can alter anything with a side seam. With no side seam, you can sometimes add a pocket to the inside of the waist band.
Your packing and unpacking videos are the best 😍 been waiting for this one since I got myself earlier this year a 40L backpack I was going to use in June but that will wait for better times 😁 Need this bumbag in my life though ❤
I looooove your videos so much! I found them very very helpful as I might travel again in a year or so and I find them very entertaining as you look so confy talking in front of the camera. Anyway thank you 😊🙏🏼🙂
Have you done any other research on your menstrual cup situation? There's so many different shapes/materials/styles available, and you may find that switching to a different cup will dramatically improve your minor leak issues. I also highly recommend the period panties. I use Knix, and find that 3 is a good minimum number. If you have a really bad day, you at least have one to wear while washing the other two. They also dry super quick from hand-washing which is always a bonus. Great un-packing video! It's always fun to see what you come home with, and what you learned from this specific trip in regards to clothes or bags.
Helpful video and thanks for linking everything in the description! You've inspired me to try a smaller backpack on my next travel trip haha! Also love the idea of a period proof thong
Love this and it’s actually more helpful than packing videos! I will go backpacking in southeast asia when corona is over and i’m definitely going to take your recommendations
I'm planning a month long trip to Italy next summer and I'll be hoping from plane to train to bus. Thanks for the update on the bag and other items! Going to looking into getting them and that solo bum bag to make traveling simpler!

I hope you're staying safe Love from Australia Xoxo 😊💞
I can't wait for the moment I can buy your solo items!! This video just makes me wanna go travel and honestly I seriously need to buy a bum bag. When will you restock?
Thank you for all your tips, they helped me out so much on my trip and the bum bag was great. A friend had her ruck sack stolen with all her valuables in so we had to go and find her a bum bag! I was surprised at how many hostels in nz don't have lockers 😩 🌏

Enjoyed your video! I actually really want the Solo Bum Bag but you are sold out. Will you be restocking them soon? or would you have another recomendation. I am not finding any I like as much! Thanks in advance :)
The cube multi plug takes up far less room which might be a good idea for next time .. you can decant oils and other into tiny bottles and jars far smaller than the ones you had ,even things like foundation and face creams etc...

Hi, bananas. I have been a fan of yours since you travelled Central America. I have two questions. First, how would you compare travelling in Central America with Colombia? @@BackpackingBananas Where are those grey leggings from? I love that they don't have that front seam that can create the good ol' camel toe!

Thank you 😊❤️

Did you know you can actually buy waterproof Birkenstock made of EVA rubber they are amazing and so comfy!!
Oohhh really?! I'll have to look into this!!
@@BackpackingBananas yes and you can also use them as shower shoes! I LOVE mine
yea the Birkenstock EVA series are the best for backpacking! can use as shower sandals too and good for beach
