Still the expert packer! I really enjoy the fact that you still get excited about your travel. That tells me you are truly doing what you love to do. That's the best kind of job to have!
I can't remember if I ever watched a packing video for so long... But this one I loved it... Ur so honest, blunt and your excitement really makes me wonder when will it be my turn to travel like that... Great video... Loved it!
I'm so happy to see that other people also go for the ridiculous but efficient airplane looks 😁😂 I often feel like such a dork but anything to travel carry-on only 😁 thank you for another great video with so many good tips!
So happy you took advantage of the coil. I’ve had the Mirena for nearly 6 years, it cured my PMDD and I don’t get my period. Practically zero side effects besides the pain when its put in place. I wish more people were aware of its wonderfulness lol!
I have the Fairview backpack (40L) which I've used for about 18 months now and absolutely love. Excited to see how this pack works for you - I'm getting old enough to consider a rolling version now to save the back! 🤪
You are the reason I finally gained the confidence to solo backpack Colombia this year. My first time in South America! I can’t wait to see your South America series for even more travel inspo 🧳✈️
i just got back from two months in Colombia as a solo female traveler. can confirm that you're going to LOVE it!! I had an incredible time and felt very safe :) have fun !!
This came at a the perfect time. Just doing the planning stage of my South America trip where we are doing the same route as you but in reverse. Already watched your Columbia videos so now can’t wait to watch these for advice !
I work at an outdoor shop in Canada that sells Osprey and I have the Sojourn 45L that your talking about and it would’ve been perfect for you! The reason why you had so much trouble finding stuff is because Osprey is redoing designs that aren’t quite done yet so they have very little stock available for the public!! I’m patiently waiting for their new releases 😅 should be around Christmas!!
I'm only a few minutes in but I'm glad I found this video... most 'carry on bag' videos cater to urban travelers and/or travelers who stick to warmer climates. I'm about to go on a massive trip that will traverse a variety of geographies and seasons, from the desert heat to the jungle heat to the European winter. Trying my best to figure out my pack!
At last! A really great packing video for South America for someone with my needs - running, hiking and photography! Slight difference in that I'm 62 so I won't be taking so many shorts, bikinis and toiletries...and I really don't care what my trailrunning shoes look like 😂
Both eagle creek and high Sierra have similar styles of case. Though they have their advantages, eagle creek has a removable frame and gives you more options. The disadvantage of the "T" handle is you cannot slip another bag over the handle. I have in the past had a large strap that I use as a caring strap (duffle style) that I use with my rolling case. The best decision you can make is what type of travel you're taking and choose accordingly. Besides, the more bags you have to choose from the better!
my favourite videos! love your packing videos, I'm currently gathering my last few bits before I fly to south east Asia at the end of November for 8 months! I hope solo come back soon, they are the best things I've bought, got the shorts, trousers, bath towel and bumbag!

Hi Christianne! Thanks for another really helpful video; I just have one question about Colombia (as I’m due to backpack there myself this coming January). How did you get from the last stop covered in your Colombia Guide (Tatacoa Desert) back to Bogotá? I’m planning on following a similar itinerary to yours but the only option seems to be an almost-24-hour bus between the two haha. Thanks again!

To clarify, will you go hiking carrying all this stuff? Like if you have the Osprey 36L on your back do you carry your tech bag by hand? That seems terribly cumbersome.
Sorry I read an earlier comment that you don't hike with the Osprey 36L. So do you rent hiking equipment and leave everything you don't need at the hostel? And this must limit you to day hikes? Thanks
Oh my goodness no 😅 I don’t hike with either of these bags. If I’m going hiking, these bags will stay in the hostel locker or storage and I will hike using my foldable backpack ☺️

Dang I cant find that bag anywhere :(
Really? The link is in the description!
@@BackpackingBananas it’s currently unavailable on Amazon, I find it on the brands website so I’ll just get it that way :)
Happy travel wishes from La Paz Bolivia. I'm am from La Paz and I am currently living there... Ask me if you have any questions in Bolivia...
another Q: is there a reason why you're not using compression packing cubes anymore?
I don’t think they add any value personally, more of a hassle than a benefit
@@MrLizardeater You Can leave luggage in hostels for several days :) I've been doing several multi-day hikes on this trip. You can rent equipment where necessary yeh
@@BackpackingBananas That makes sense, thanks!
What happened to the guided tours that you were to lead in Pakistan? I saw your first impressions vid then nothing more.
@@89. I'm older but think she'd look lovely in a hijab or nothing at all.
Do you have a link for the patagonia packing cube?
I’ve just updated the description! Xx
how is she going to hike with all of this stuff..?
yes it seems absurd to hike with this setup
