Nate buying underwear from Amazon and carrying around jeans that are ripped, and Kara buying clothes from average stores, and uses a toiletry bag that’s falling apart.. is why you are adored by millions- you are just like every single one of us- minus the fact that you have a more exciting traveled life! Thank you for always keeping it real 💚
yes! i’ve been watching them for 4-5 years and i love their videos. sometimes i forget that they are just like everyone else and this video reminded me that they are!
Yo, those pants were worn on that first class $19,000 airline seat. Makes me want to have him send it to me and I'll sew it up, I'm not a professional but anything is better than that. Promise I won't use knitting yarn.
I don't understand how many times you have lost, delayed, misplaced etc your bags and I know you have because I have watched them all and how careful and money conscious and mistrusting of airlines and people actually that Nate is, that he OR Kara have never heard of not just Apple Tags but any kind of GPS tracking device which have been on the market for, I kid you not at least 10-12 years!!!! I mean with your whole life being in those bags and all the research and detail oriented things Nate does planning trips and trying to keep them safe he didn't know about this, and that NO OTHER TRAVEL VLOGGER told them, because I know that both Flying the Nest and The Endless Adventure have and probably still do use them.
Nate being so playful with Kara was probably my favorite thing about this video! I love you guys! Not boring at all, good tips and a lot of humor! Also, I’m very sorry to hear about your grandmother. 🙏🏻
It’s about time huh?! Lol hope you learn something from our first and only packing video! We had a lot of fun making it, and even got to learn a little about each other 😂 (which is kinda rare for us these days), Sooooo: Packing cubes or nah? Suitcase with wheels or backpack? Check or carry on? Loofah or washcloth? ;) Does your desktop look like Nate’s or are you an organized person? Haha soooo many opinions are out there and we’d love to know yours and why 🧳✈️ let us know in the comments!
I use either a Osprey or Eagle Creek check in roller bag with 60 or 75 liters. Wouldn't travel without packing cubes. Use the Eagle Creek ones and they last very well. Also like Kara said, I don't travel with clothes that wrinkle that much.. You inspired me to get a tracking gadget asap, especially since I'm from Germany and our airports are completely mayhem right now.
packing cubes, backpack carry on and checked in suitcase with wheels, washcloth and my desktop isn't quite 'nate' level but definitely wouldn't call it organised 😅
I love everything you guys do. Thank you. I'm a plus size traveler so rolling is my best option. It was nice to see the thinks I've learned match most of yours. P. S. Wash cloths are gross
i really loved Kara's honesty about how noone really cares what you wear, or that she no longer cares what people think, if she wears the same clothes on repeat. i love that youre also honest about the fact your clothes are not always freshly clean. your videos and personalities and energy you give off is just the best. thank you for the tips, im going to stick to black rather than trying to have nice outfits when i travel /backpack next!!
I love how Kara and Nate are I assume making good money (millions of followers watching ad sense plus sponsorships) yet they still live broke newlyweds from 2016 (using broken toiletries bags and brushes). It's so refreshing because it feels like a lot of RUclipsrs do sell out, move to LA, and buy fancy homes and cars. I appreciate you guys for staying "normal" and realistic to a lifestyle that does seem doable for regular people... but seriously brushes are like $5 lol
Yea! I loved it. My biggest takeaway was Kara's advice on the "what-ifs" and to leave them behind. Also, congrats on the Neutrogena brand deal! I'm excited you are partnering with some bigger brands, hopefully compensating you appropriately!!
I actually love when travel influencers do videos like this! Helps people like my husband and I narrow down what to have in our luggage and backpacks, too.
I loved everything about this video from getting some packing tips to seeing a little bit into your everyday life! The most helpful tip was thinking about things that can be used a million ways like Kara's black sarong/beach coverup/towel/scarf... and the most surprising thing was that Kara still uses a toiletry bag that is falling apart, and Nate uses a "brush" that is literally just a few bristles at this point. You make things so relatable and I love you guys for that!
@@26realmc Considering how much of what they pack is what they need to do their jobs, I'd say that's pretty minimal. Not too mention, they travel for a living, out of two bags each... I'd say that's pretty minimal.
Loved your "laugh out load" packing story! My wife died earlier this year and I watch your videos during that otherwise deathly quiet dinner times when I would otherwise be alone. Travelling to Yellowstone, Italy, France, Hawaii and Patagonia with my cameras and drone this year and will take your advice and zest for life with me. Love You.❤
I loved it. I think my biggest Takeaway was Kara’s advice on the “what ifs”. I think it made it a lot easier for me to travel cause I’m going on a trip later this August and I think that’s going to really help. I also love Nate mocks Kara it is hilarious and so accurate. Also just wanna say that I love your videos so much and on bad days I just sit and watch my favourites meaning any video. Sometimes what I do is close my eyes and scroll down and just click on a random one and it’s always amazing. ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Kara! I found a great way to store my necklaces when traveling. I cut a plastic straw into thirds and can then loop the necklace through and clasp the necklace. No more tangles!!
I use a tiny pill box, each lil section is one piece and is just as tiny as a bag, but they are all separated - works great for rings and earring organization too!
Loved Kara's advise on the "What if" items. As someone who struggles with an anxiety disorder I tend to over pack. That thought process of knowing if you end up needing it you will most likely be able to find it where you're going is so helpful! I'm going to keep that advise for my next trip!
Yeah, especially with the convenience and high availability with domestic travel. A little shampoo will totally last my short trips. Power outlets are so common, to extra batteries aren't really necessary; so many things use USB…
I love this packing video. Most packing videos are so produced and perfectly laid out but Kara and Nate stay true to keeping it real. I love how you two are always authentic and true to who you are and want to be.
Really helpful when Kara talks about the what ifs, because whenever I travel, I tend to slightly overpacked. Plus, knowing about microfiber wipes is something interesting so thank you for sharing. Also, packing cubes is a fun mind game for me, think how to bring it all as efficient as possible. Thank y'all for making this packing videooo
Hi! I love how Kara reminded us that it doesn't actually matter what you wear. I'm going through a minimalist phase and it's so true. It's also refreshing to remember material items are not where all the joy lies!
This segment was so inspiring! I always think Kara looks great, but I’ve never questioned how much ‘wardrobe’ she’s carrying! Take away… keep it simple and capsule!! Easy!
Love how much Nate's personality came out in this video! Love his sarcastic humour. The best tip was about folding and rolling and how different clothes work best for each 😀 thanks for sharing this video, packing videos are my fave!
I learned a few things! We are getting ready to be full-time vanners (summer 2023). It really helps me set goals on what we should strive for because you’ve travel so much and so you definitely know what you need and don’t need. 1) Roll vs. fold - it depends on the clothes! 2) Having things for the what-ifs - just buy it when you need it. 3) You both literally have only 2 shoes. 😩 4) Puffy jacket and rain jacket combo is enough to keep you warm 5) I’m going to have to let go of the clothes that wrinkle easily. (linen!) 6) a black sarong is so multi functional
To be honest, you guys don't need to be worried about making a boring video. Your personalities and the amazing editing will always make it interesting and engaging.
In a weird way this is one of my favorite videos with you guys, possibly because it's so honest and it seems we get to know a new side of you! Don't get me wrong, I love your adventures, travels and also the van (miss it!) but both of you are on fire in this! Nate's humour and timing is on point and Kara is always fun!
You two helped me decide to buy some Air Tags now and also, noise cancelling headphones with your music on pause is the best peace and quiet you’ll have on a flight. Heavenly. Great content 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I really enjoyed this video! First of all, you guys are hilarious and adorable, and secondly, from a person who SEVERELY overpacks, there's a lot that I can learn from this! I am the kind of person who packs 5 outfits for an overnight stay! :) So thanks for helping me recognize my problem, and my biggest takeaway was packing cubes! Brilliant! ;) Thanks!
Kara, I'm pleased you re-wear the same outfits. Re-wearing clothes until they get into the state of Nate's jeans needs to be normalised and having guys like you in the spotlight re-wearing is only ever going to be good for the planet (and our purses!) 🤣
I learned that I'm way too attached to the "next best thing". You seem to be contented with what works, and if it does, you're set. Thanks for this content! Not boring. NO way.
You have no idea how useful this video was guys! I’m starting a year of traveling around the world in a couple of weeks. I’ve been watching you since day 1, and this video just made my entire experience of organizing my packing a total joy! Thank you so much! Big hug from Chile. JJ
@@juanjosesalaya9891 We have a friend from Santiago who we visited, and then spent some time in Valparaiso too! We had a great time seeing all the sights and trying all the food! I think we're still dreaming of Completo's 🌭
I’ve watched several “how to” videos and I must say this has been the most fun and enjoyable video! Y’all just make anything so enjoyable to watch!! Definitely NOT a boring video Nate!! Can’t wait to see what is in store for your next adventure! Continued prayers to Nate & his family!
i was able to meet nate’s grandma while volunteering at your 100 country party. she was such a sweet lady, and it was so heartwarming to see how proud she was. i’m so sorry for your loss, sending lots of light :)
The non-colored, only black clothing thing was what stood out to me! Never thought of the colors when packing for a trip, I usually just shove a bunch of different things in without thinking of what it looks like when wet, sweaty, or dirty. Great video guys!
Fold AND roll based on Kara’s scientific explanation! Also, learned the idea of the converter / power strip combo. Ordering one and adding it to my suitcase now! Thank you K&N - and also: sending lots of love to you both and to Nate’s family. ❤️
Definitely not a waste of time! It’s your personality’s that make your videos so fun and enjoying to watch! Fun, upbeat, and clean entertainment is hard to find sometimes! Also.. its not roll OR fold. It is always both 😂 LOVE YOU GUYS! 🥰
You two are my favorites, by far. You make everything interesting, informative and funny. My aha moments in your video were the tracker devices in each suitcase and that everything doesn't have to be either folded or rolled, you can have both. Love you two #teamkaraandnate
My wife is a former flight attendant and we watched this and she absolutely loves your video ✈️ and we both laughed about the stuff falling apart and ripped jeans 👖 It just shows what you care about and it is clearly adventure and not stuff!
My family of 4 are about to take off on a travel year, so this was a timely video for us. I appreciated Kara's tip about not stressing leaving something behind. I would also like to say that your videos and stories have made a huge impact on our decision to travel. Thank you!
This sounds like something we’d like to do! We have a 7 year old, how old are your children? If they’re still school age, will you be continuing formal education (like a distance course) whilst you’re away from home?
My husband always jokes that Kara and I “serve the same energy” so it helped this overpacker’s heart to see how light you’re able to travel, Kara! I’ll try to shake off my “what if” anxiety next time I get to travel.
This video was great y’all! I loved the inside peek into life as a full-time traveler AND it gave us such a fun look into your relationship and personalities. Love sassy Nate!
I have a black sarong I always travel with too! I've streamlined my packing list a lot over the years, I don't travel full-time but I'm team, carry-on backpack (Cotopaxi Allpa) and team packing cubes. I've upgraded most of my shirts to Woolx and am currently obsessed with Athleta Brooklyn jumpsuits. For body washing, I carry loofah gloves, for face, I use baby microfiber washcloths. I LOVE Matador flat pack bottles and soap bags, game changers! Kara, I carry a dry shampoos in powder form that lasts forever, I just periodically fill a little container and they have a stippling brush for application, Daily Dry Shampoo.
Honestly I'm really glad y'all waited until now to make the packing video. I fully enjoyed the description of the evolution of what's in your bag which is very very helpful. I actually discovered you guys from a video about packing with the way away and the endless adventure several years ago when you were in Estonia. You've come a long way and I'm glad I've stuck with your videos. It's fun to live vicariously through your adventures and to dream about traveling the world full-time. Congrats on all of your success!
I travel a lot for the military and I overpack all the time. Kara’s little talk about taking stuff you can buy at your destination was great…I need to implement that into my packing mindset.
My husband and I have also been travelling full time since January 2016. Best tip..Power Strip! Great idea. Here are our This vs That's:. Carry-on, packing cubes, flat folds, roller bags (Away) with backpacks. Also got rid of our big bulky noise cancelling headphones and now use much more packing friendly earbuds.
Lets just appreciate that kara and nate take so much time on making these videos ! They are awesome on the way they vlog! It's turtelly awesome🐢. This video being long waited for is very good for trying to pack our own since you guys are pros :)
I also never knew until a few mothne ago that we had gone on the same plane. I knew after watching the flying to franfurt video in june! Even not knowing that until the video made me so happy!☺️
I've been waiting for a video like this from you two for so long! So happy it's finally out. Also, one thing that made this video much more enjoyable than a lot of your recent videos (honestly since like 2/3 years ago) is that there are multiple shots with both of you in it while talking. I love you two together, I think that's what made your international vlogs special, and I found that your recent videos didn't have many - if any - moments where you two were in front of the camera together, let alone talking. Your dynamic together is special and I felt like something was missing when you two weren't physically together in the shot!
Loved this "real" packing video. I've spent months traveling on my time off and and basically live a lot of my time out of my bags. So refreshing to see a video that shows underwear over gear and packing things that make you comfortable and enjoy your voyage. Keep traveling !
Thank you for making this video!!! Kara admitting that you don’t and shouldn’t pack all the what ifs and go overboard just to “look cute” really resonated with me and I completely appreciate her honesty!! Nate’s genius idea of a power bar paired with an adapter is definitely something I’m adding to my list! And AirTags are a legit GAME CHANGER! No doubt sales on those went up since this video was posted! Haha. Thanks again you guys! All the best
Man Nate is just getting funnier and funnier.... Him in the background when Kara was talking about her clothes was hilarious.... Like to spend that much time just for our amusement is awesome. Love it 😊😊
ROLL. After 12 + years of full time travel it is most often the best way to save space. Cute guys....real cute. You are both fun, entertaining, good speakers and relatable. LOVE that Rode mic too! Thank you for taking the time to put this together for us all, well done. We particularily appreciated and enjoyed the editing of this video. You kept our interest the entire video. We learned a lot from you there! Thank you!
I loved this video! The fact that you are over 3 million followers and still use the same toiletry bag, makes you the most down to earth and real people!! ❤️ I have now watched it twice!! And Kara’s “what if” philosophy is spot on!! Thanks for the video ❤️
Flight attendant here! I do a combo fold & roll (I’m with Kara, some things take up more space rolled), I absolutely cannot stand packing cubes, and I only ever do carry-on bags (but that is because I fly stand-by travel, meaning I only get on a plane if there are open seats, so my destination might change on the fly-no pun intended). I also always have a dedicated pair of plane travel pants (which feel like leggings but look like dress pants) and ALWAYS travel with a sweater for when the plane or airport gets chilly. I also carry a “travel purse” and “travel backpack” that are small enough to fit in my rolling suitcase and I use when doing day-to-day travel at my destination; these bags are great because they help to deter being pickpocketed and help prevent purse snatchers: there is a feature where the zippers clip onto a tab where the bag closes (which prevents people easily getting into and unzipping the bag) and the straps are lined with metal so they can’t be cut with a knife easily. I highly recommend them and I got them at Target!
I’ve watched this video like 5 times, so not boring at all! I love watching your videos of just the everyday grind or travel - travel day videos are my favorite!
3 reasons why I LOVE this video: 1. For some reason BOTH your personalities shine through on this video, you can see the love you have for eachother and it's so refreshing and natural. 2. You have taught me so much about travel and now I can stop worrying about the little things to pack! 3. AIRTAGS ARE LIFE!
Never thought of filling up goop containers with shampoo/conditioner from hotels! And that Kara mixes conditioners in them and it works out just fine. Helpful tip nowadays ever since hotels stopped giving out those little bottles. So thanks!
Hydro Boost has been a staple in my toiletry kit for a couple years now. Has saved my skin so many times! Love that we finally got a great packing video! 👏🏼👏🏼
I’ve always wanted you guys to do another (official) packing video, especially travelling after van life. I’ve always wanted to know what you guys carried. The one thing that stuck out to me was the AirTags for the suitcases. I would’ve never really thought about it, but it’s so simple, and makes so much sense! Thanks for an informative video!
We’re heading out for a year of full time travel in January, and this was so incredibly helpful! The best packing video we’ve seen yet. Thank you for finally doing one of these!!
So relatable. Some friends wanted to backpack through Europe. I thought it couldn’t be done but found a way to get everything into a carry on. Not checking bags is a game changer!
Yay!!! I've been wondering as a chronic overpacker, I love to see how long term travelers pack clothes, especially being a woman and wanting to be prepared so I don't have to spend money on clothes when I get there. I am going to Colorado to see my Bestie this Fall and I'd love to just be able to take a carry-on and not have to mess with checking my bag. Thank you guys so much.
This was SO HELPFUL! I’m going on a month-long worldschool trip with my 16yr old and really hoping we don’t forget anything. Every single part in the video was helpful. Even the part where Nate is in denial about how much stuff you help to carry for him! 😂
Buy the cubes. When you are changing spots every/every other night it’s so much easier to find things. Replace one item with another. Bam! Totally organized.
I loved learning more about what you pack for clothes! I recently travelled for three weeks with just a carry on bag and I felt like I could have packed better! Thanks for sharing!
I appreciated Kara stating that leaving the "what ifs" behind because you can probably find it where you are was what I needed to hear! I am an over packer. I have travelled all over the world with my son since he was a year old. Each time I travel with him it is different than before because his needs are different as he gets older. Thank you for this video. It's fun to see what people pack and compare to what I do for myself. Safe travels!
Finally got to see what you carry! Such a fun upload. Looking forward to seeing more content from you. My wife and I enjoy them very much especially during pandemic lockdown in PRC. By the way, we use inflatable neck pillows for long flights. They are even more supportive than regular soft ones, so that we won't "nod heads everywhere" during flight snooze. And yet they pack into "a thin piece of paper".
That was so much fun!! I loved the packing video, and now I realise, I need to re-arrange my stuff completely. Most challenging is to get rid of things I do now actually need. Thanks guys💕
I have to pack for a 3 month trip to Japan, I was really confused about the difference between the essentials and the What Ifs, You guys really helped me clear it all out! Thanks a lot! I have been following you guys for 2 years now and all your videos are so amazing :)
I'm not sure I learned any tips per se, but your honesty about maybe having things that you don't need and that there are things that bring you joy whether or not that they are needed really helped. So many of these videos just seem devoid of joy.
This is now in my Top 5 Kara + Nate Videos! It was fun to see a different side of your personalities and how you interact with each other, adorable. As well as the deep dive into what you pack. I would never have imagined you have SO MUCH UNDERWEAR between the 2 of you. And , Kara, it's time to update the REI toiletry bag. Treat yo self :)
I loved watching this video especially when Nate was teasing Kara 😂 I learned several new tricks to make my packing even more efficient. I’m a checked suitcase/carry-on backpack person, my folding is somewhere in the middle between rolling and folding, and I’m a loofa person for shaving my legs. I think I answered all of Kara’s questions.
Thank you for bringing us all into your very personal lives! Your packing chops aside, which are stellar, I am so impressed how you two live so beautifully in the present. You have no apartment or house back home in the USA waiting for you to return. You two don't seem to be mailing home stuff to someday go on a shelf in a living room. You closed your storage unit, and, aside from your van, your "home base" is where ever you two are! So, opening up your suitcases - your "home base" on wheels - and backpacks! was quite the anthropological examination into your lives. Thank you for this episode! We love you guys!!!
I guess inside that Lacie box must be a Seagate drive. Most likely one of those horrible from Rosewood family. Erkin very likely can help them to recover data :) I hope that the media cache is not badly dameged, which is very important on this type of hard drives for data recovering!
the air tag was great. never had one before. I do often wonder what water-bottle size to get because I never drink it all in one day, or know if its going to fit in my bag.
Glad you guys did this. I love how down to earth you are as a couple. Especially with this glimpse in the life of REAL travelers. So glad 8t didn't feel like an Apple commercial or another "influencer" pedaling a bunch of brands. You inspire me to travel more, keep up the good work!
This video was wonderful and so helpful. I found it helpful when Kara said you roll or fold things depending on what they are and not to pack “what if’s”. This also really gave me a better picture of what your lives are like. Thank You!!
Loved this! I learned not everything has to be rolled, diva cup, and microfiber face towels instead of make-up wipes. I'm so happy to see you guys out and about can't wait to travel too.
This was so freaking helpful! I really enjoyed this video! I'm such a over-packer so I really appreciate Kara's advice on if you can buy it out of the country, then do it. I'm a packing cube, lufa loving, roller bag kind of travler.
So glad you did this video! I'm always curious about how and what others pack. And it's especially helpful from two people that have traveled so much. I really appreciate you taking the time to do this. One thing I'd love more detail on in a future video is your take on suitcases, i.e., sizes, configurations, pockets, hard vs. soft, how many have you gone through, etc.. :)
I like the advice Kara gave to not pack ‘what if’s’. I always worry about forgetting something. I’m a loofah type of girl too. Packing a sweatshirt is the most important, being cold on a flight is the worst.
I love how real this is and how much chemistry you have together in such a simple but great video! Kara definitely packs the right way with folding and rolling!
I only do carry on. I find it so freeing. It's totally different if you are traveling full-time. Kara's so right no one really notices what one is wearing. Thanks for sharing!
We’re on a countdown to going around the world for a year and our packing list match yours almost exactly. Good to know we’re on the right track. Great video!
Great video! Thanks for providing some reassurance to not worry about having the perfect outfits for every day- no one really cares! Here are some answers to your questions: 1. Carry on - always 2. Roll most clothes, but not all (just figured this one out on our recent trip to Panama!) 3. Wheely bag and a soft, but stuffed, backpack (backpack under seat in front of me makes for a great footrest for us on the petite side.)
When my wife was still with me, people would constantly comment on how we, after 17 years together, still managed to be best friends and called each other pet names and genuinely enjoyed each others' company. You two are mega-cute as a couple. This is the main reason I love watching your videos (well, that and Kara's legs, but forget I mentioned that)! This video is a perfect example of that, especially 04:49. I died. Luckily, I wasn't taking a drink of my coffee or, surely, it would have ended up in my needing a new keyboard and a cleaning of the 65". I discovered the two of you from your RAGBRAI video (which I'll finally be attending in '23 for their 50th!!!) about traveling using a tandem bicycle. I think I've now watched 10-15 of your videos and love every one of them. I'm about to take off on an unending around-the-world bicycle tour (unsupported, 100% pedal power) and watching your videos I've come to incorporate some of your travel tips into my plan, including getting ready to switch over to a Google-fi phone, which I hadn't even considered until I saw your mini-ad in one of your videos. Thanks for being out there, you guys are great. I hope you make it to RAGBRAI next year! Would love to get a signature on my gear somewhere! Stay safe! Stay mobile!
Kara's tip on whether or not to leave something at home was super helpful for me. I'm one of those folks who will overpack and literally never use half of what I bring.
Finally, a packing video that I can assume will be helpful before even starting it. And the editing is already cracking me up right out the gate! (no airport pun intended. ok, maybe a little 😜)
Thank you Kara and Nate! The things I learned are to leave my "what ifs" at home. Use carry on's. Be grateful when my stuff arrives. Still grieving a sleeping bag lost in Colorado. Now when I fly I'll buy!
y'all can buy actual loofa like from the loofa plant! They're sturdier than a store loofa and you can buy flat ones. They scrub better and are biodegradable! Check Etsy or farmers markets when y'all are in the states!
Great video. I travelled for work across Eastern & Central Europe for 16 years largely in rural areas so I was pleased how much of our thinking was similar. When I started we were allowed 30Kg hold luggage so I even had a mini printer/scanner and kettle. I tried to stick to carry on in the end. Must have's were Power banks, power strip (I converted an english one an put a European plug on it - made life quicker), noise cancelling headphones, so good I was always getting tapped on the shoulder by the stewards. I stopped taking real books and stuck with a mini iPad that had books, videos, music etc. A bag with all my cables and chargers. I agree with kara, I rolled or folded dependent on the item. Gross laundry bag is essential.
Hey Amazon one day or overnight delivery save me many times than I can remember 🤣🤣🤣 don’t knock it till you try it.
so true :)
I think my favorite was when she was sharing her different tops and with every top Nate was in a different spot! Hahahahaha
It’s about time huh?! Lol hope you learn something from our first and only packing video! We had a lot of fun making it, and even got to learn a little about each other 😂 (which is kinda rare for us these days), Sooooo:
Packing cubes or nah?
Suitcase with wheels or backpack?
Check or carry on?
Loofah or washcloth? ;)
Does your desktop look like Nate’s or are you an organized person?
Haha soooo many opinions are out there and we’d love to know yours and why 🧳✈️ let us know in the comments!
My condolences on the loss of Nate’s grandmother. Thanks for these packing tips. Much needed!
Do you use fleece blankets or not
I use either a Osprey or Eagle Creek check in roller bag with 60 or 75 liters.
It's just cause Nate is a tightwad!! He admits himself he hates to spend money!!✌🐢
Yea! I loved it. My biggest takeaway was Kara's advice on the "what-ifs" and to leave them behind. Also, congrats on the Neutrogena brand deal! I'm excited you are partnering with some bigger brands, hopefully compensating you appropriately!!
Yes! I have to agree. I always over pack because of the "what-ifs"
I’m a chronic over-packer, so I enjoyed seeing how effectively and fairly minimally you guys pack! *#karaandnate*
you call that "fairly minimal" ?🤣😂🤣The amount of stuff they are taking as experienced travellers is insane.
@@26realmc Considering how much of what they pack is what they need to do their jobs, I'd say that's pretty minimal. Not too mention, they travel for a living, out of two bags each... I'd say that's pretty minimal.
@@DawnAgran I agree!
Love You.❤
I am sorry for your loss.
I'm very sorry for your loss. I am glad that you will keep traveling and enjoying life.
My condolences. I love that you have found a lovely way to spend your alone time 🥰
@@aprila.852 Yes, I doubt that Kara and Nate realize that they are such welcome dinner guests. ;-)
Hey Kara! I found a great way to store my necklaces when traveling. I cut a plastic straw into thirds and can then loop the necklace through and clasp the necklace. No more tangles!!
Bendy straws work especially well. Loop them thru twice (if they're long enough-most of mine are 24-30") and no more tangles.
I couldn’t agree more!!!
Totally agree with the overpacking comment. The what if's was super helpful to watch and a great mindset to adopt while travelling!
Nate carrying the jeans around the world is giving sisterhood of the travelling pants vibes and I'm here for it 😆
I love Kara’s “what if” tip and hearing that Kara gets talked into buying products at the salon just like the rest of us 🤣🤣
Nate was funny!!
I agree!!! I laughed out loud several times. I love this and the q&a videos for the same reason
You two helped me decide to buy some Air Tags now and also, noise cancelling headphones with your music on pause is the best peace and quiet you’ll have on a flight. Heavenly. Great content 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
All my love to Nate and Kara and Nate’s family in these difficult times. Safe travels to you both as you get back out there!
What’s happening with nates family? 😳
@@MsSparkless1 His grandmother passed away 😢
YES - THIS!!!
I have a minimal wardrobe, have been for a few years now and I like it. Don’t care for trends.
Nate's jeans still has hope
Me too!! Traveling is all about minimal using, not being a fashion icon. And black is a great travel color...❤️❤️
Loved the video, guys!
JJ
Good travels to you!
Hope it's a great year Juan! On a side note, we were just in Chile and it was AMAZING! You've got a beautiful country! 😀
@@SharingtheRoad that amazing! What places are u visiting??
Nate is hilarious. I love when he mocks Kara. He is always on point. Lol
@@7irsty my children are 7 and 3. I will be homeschooling them as we go.
You’re all going to have an amazing time! Safe travels
You guys are such an inspiration. You make me want to pack a bag and travel the world. Your videos make my days brighter. Thanks for posting videos
me too
My husband always jokes that Kara and I “serve the same energy” so it helped this overpacker’s heart to see how light you’re able to travel, Kara!
I’m a proud Cotopaxi carryon girl too!
So fun to watch
Nate during the crop top shots. I'm literally hollering. Yall are amazing. Missed you two!
Hilarious! Had to stop video and text my sister to watch Nate
🙌🏾
I think this might be my favorite video y’all have done. It’s a highlight reel of all your travels 🥰
3 reasons why I LOVE this video:
1. For some reason BOTH your personalities shine through on this video, you can see the love you have for eachother and it's so refreshing and natural.
2. You have taught me so much about travel and now I can stop worrying about the little things to pack!
3. AIRTAGS ARE LIFE!
Hello, how's your day going over there?
Never thought of filling up goop containers with shampoo/conditioner from hotels! And that Kara mixes conditioners in them and it works out just fine. Helpful tip nowadays ever since hotels stopped giving out those little bottles. So thanks!
Nate mocking you made this video so wholesome hahahah I adore everything about how simple you guys pack and how basic everything you own is!
I love that y'all are still learning things about each other! 💜
Nate annoys tf out of me can he please just let Kara live 💀
YES! I have been waiting for this video for FOREVER!!! I can’t wait to watch it!
Enjoy 😊
@@KaraandNate thanks!!
We love you guys!!!
hi guys I run a data recovery company, and I would love to help you recover your LaCie drive.
Check this guy out - he's fantastic! dude can try and help recover stuff for you!
Hope they can find your message and recover their data. :) Crossing fingers!

He’s a legend. Can’t go wrong with him.
I guess inside that Lacie box must be a Seagate drive. Most likely one of those horrible from Rosewood family. Erkin very likely can help them to recover data :)
I hope that the media cache is not badly dameged, which is very important on this type of hard drives for data recovering!
I don't travel so I don't need a packing video BUT I will literally watch anything you put out. You're so entertaining ♥️💯
the air tag was great. never had one before.
Funny Nate... I have that exact same power strip AND international power adapter. Thanks for showing us around your bags!
I went on a 17 day trip earlier this year and I used packing cubes. Loved them!! I will use them even for my trips back home to Maryland.
Hello, how are you???
I love how real this is and how much chemistry you have together in such a simple but great video! Kara definitely packs the right way with folding and rolling!
I only do carry on. I find it so freeing. It's totally different if you are traveling full-time. Kara's so right no one really notices what one is wearing. Thanks for sharing!
We’re on a countdown to going around the world for a year and our packing list match yours almost exactly. Good to know we’re on the right track. Great video!
Hey guys I am such big fans! Keep it up. I give my deepest condolences to Nate! You guys are so strong!
I love y’alls videos!! They have encouraged me to start looking into traveling more and explore the world!!
Great video! Thanks for providing some reassurance to not worry about having the perfect outfits for every day- no one really cares!
Here are some answers to your questions:
1. Carry on - always
2. Roll most clothes, but not all (just figured this one out on our recent trip to Panama!)
3. Wheely bag and a soft, but stuffed, backpack (backpack under seat in front of me makes for a great footrest for us on the petite side.)
I like Kara's "don't pack the what ifs" advice. 😊
Stay safe! Stay mobile!
what went wrong?
You guys are my favorite, just love the chemistry in every video 😭❤️
Kara's tip on whether or not to leave something at home was super helpful for me. I'm one of those folks who will overpack and literally never use half of what I bring.
Finally, a packing video that I can assume will be helpful before even starting it. And the editing is already cracking me up right out the gate! (no airport pun intended. ok, maybe a little 😜)
LOVE the pun 😂
Thank you Kara and Nate! The things I learned are to leave my "what ifs" at home. Use carry on's. Be grateful when my stuff arrives. Still grieving a sleeping bag lost in Colorado. Now when I fly I'll buy!
‘Be great full when my stuff arrives’ - so true, especially these days😅
y'all can buy actual loofa like from the loofa plant!
