- Опубликовано: 5 июл 2024
- This is Kacee's first time watching reaction to the movie "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994)". When the dolphin mascot of Miami's NFL team is abducted, Ace Ventura (Jim Carrey), a zany private investigator who specializes in finding missing animals, looks into the case. Soon Miami Dolphins players are kidnapped too, including star player Dan Marino (Dan Marino), making Ace's sleuth work even more pressing. Working with Dolphins representative Melissa Robinson (Courteney Cox), Ace closes in on the culprits, but not before many ridiculous misadventures.

For everyone asking where Anthony has been...he's fine! He has just been working on some other stuff while I have been catching up on comedies I've never seen before (and he has). He will return soon! (he was also recently in the back to the future reactions btw) :) But y'all there are just so many movies I haven't seen yet. 😂 -Kacee

I’d highly recommend Monty Python and the holy grail. Amazing piece of comedy
Staying in theme of the film your response should have been "That's none of your damn business and I'd thank you for keeping out of my personal affairs"🤣
Ace Ventura Pet Detective 2?
remember when sean young cast herself as catwoman? she would've succeed if it was now with social media, like henry cavill who keeps flopping all his role he cast himself in
When the dog barks at the Lt was a clue NC he recognized the person who killed his owner
"Your gun is digging in to my hip"
Mmmmmmm that's hot
When I watched this as a kid every joke went over my head. When I rewatched it as an adult it was so funny cause I actually understood the jokes n references
Don't be a 'gunhead' and spout spoilers which are impossible not to see before watching the video
Also a very early hint is at the police station when Finckle (aka Einhorn) comes in and Ace goes “HOOOLLYYY TESTICLE TUESDAY”.
@@pistonburner6448who watches reactions without seeing the full movie first though
As a 14 year-old boy in 1994, Jim Carrey was the funniest human being I'd ever seen. I don't think I'd ever been more hyped for a movie than when Ace Ventura was advertised. Great reaction!
Lol i was 14 too in 1994 i remember laughing so hard at this movie and ofcourse all the other Jim Carrey movies that came out that year...
His best work was on in living color. These were his last good years.
I remember hating Jim Carrey as teenager, I tought he is dumb and unfunny. I love him now tho, great actor and comedian, and I love rewatching all his commedies I mostly ignored when I was younger ;)
"I'm looking for Ray Finkle and a new pair of shorts." "I saw the guys room cozy if your Hannibal Lecter."
_Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls_ is pretty funny, too
Yeah…that scene when he comes out of the fake rhino kills me every time. The sequel might even be better.
1994 Jim Carrey was the most succesful actor on earth. He had Dumb and Dumber, The Mask and Ace Ventura in the same goddamn year.
"I'm looking for Ray Finkle *gun barrel points at his face*...and a clean pair of shorts."
Part 2 is really funny too. Ace is definitely Jim Carrey on full blast.
Just watch the rhino scene the rest ofthe movie can't compair to that scene
When he smacked his head on the wooden bench. 😆 you know that left a mark
1994 was a big year for Jim Carrey, 3 of his most iconic films came out that year. With Ace Ventura being one of them, the others were Dumb and Dumber and The Mask
The Mask is probably my favorite of Jim Carrey's movies, other than Mrs. Doubtfire no other movie has made me laugh so hard!
Thief! Lol
What's funny about the ending was that at no point does Dan Marino think to chime in. Even if he didn't know it was Finkle, he did know that Einhorn was involved in his kidnapping.
Hi Kacee, you are killing it with your solo reactions!🙂Finkle took over Lois Einhorn's identity when he saw the news article about the hiker by that name disappearing. The sequel to this film "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls" (1995) is very funny too, and has some very memorable moments. Great reactions to your first Ace Ventura film, Kacee!!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Definitely recommend the second one too. I saw that one first when I was younger and it's still my favorite of the two.
"You want that dukey so bad you can taste it!!!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Right !!!! Much better without that guy laughing like a a-hole
this film is so good, it's infinitely quotable and Ace's apparent immaturity is about my level of humour
Uh… no, he’s not immature. If you wanna talk about immature look at that loser adam sandler’s bullshit movies
Ace Ventura When Nature Calls is even better! It's one of those rare sequels that doesn't disappoint.
Bumblebee tuna
This was the movie that made Jim Carrey the biggest comedy star in the world in terms of popularity and box office. I remember kids here in British Columbia were seeing this movie 3 and 4 times and quoting it at random and doing all the voices and mannerisms. It was the perfect 90s 13 year old boy movie. Raunchy, juvenile and way over the top. We saw an adult who was getting paid to act like a kid. It was awesome and inspiring. The Era of Extreme truly starts here. Yes, we all learned how to bend over and talk out of our aushenheimer. Jim Carrey gave us license to be kids. Gone were the days where kids got in trouble by accident. We got in trouble on purpose because it was fun.
“Ace Ventura, Disney Princess” lol explains a lot still leaves many questions.
Him talking about the “bitch” is actually pretty accurate for a number of professions. They remember the job, not the person
It's a classic! I saw this as a teenager when it premiered and became an instant Jim Carrey-fan. He was the king of physical comedy for a good decade, for sure. He also likes to make jokes from movie references and I'm curious how well those references are understood by younger people now. This was a fun watch!
Great movie. You should also see the sequel. You should also see Dumb and Dumber the funniest Jim Carry movie to date in my opinion.
The laces on a football are a material that sticks out and is uneven, so you don't want to kick them if you can help it. It just has a chance to hurt accuracy since you are not kicking the smooth even surface of the ball, hence "laces out". Both kickers and punters make contact with a football with laces out for this reason. Fewer variables and more consistency. :D
Jim Carrey was so very extra in almost all of his early career. Easily the most extra actor in Hollywood at the time. So much so that he might have inspired the concept itself.
All the men in the movie who kissed or had affairs with Einhorn all vomited themselves when they all discovered the truth near the end of the movie that Lieutenant Lois Einhorn was actually Ray Finkle the man who missed that infamous last minute kick. 🏈 laces out.
There were no Mission: Impossible movies when this came out. They were referencing the original TV show from the 60s.
Yes, the first Mission Impossible movie came out 2 years after this.
Yes, it's the Mission Impossible theme. It was created for the 1966 TV series.
It starred Peter Graves (the captain in "Airplane") as Jim Phelps and ran for 7 seasons.
You probably played it in band because of it's unusual 5/4 time signature.
So there. 😁
My favorite Jim Carey movie of all time.
Yep, this movie was my life for so many years
Quoting Jake Peralta from Brooklyn 99 "Classic film, one of my childhood favorites. And it only gets overtly transphobic at the very end, so a win."
Jim definitely was a master of physical comedy. Michael Richards, Kramer on Seinfeld was also such a genius with physical comedy. Rowan Atkinson Mr. Bean, and some others.
This movie only made around 70 million at the box office when it came out, but on VHS it became super popular
Marino does maybe my favorite definitely-not-an-actor acting in this
"He's like a Disney princess with all these animals!"
He's actually more powerful than a Disney princess... A Disney princess would need a full song to get the animals to come to her, but Ace just needs a single whistle and he's surrounded by like 100 different animals, of all different types. I've never seen a Disney princess call a monkey or a fucking PENGUIN with a song!
You've already seen Liar Liar so you get some idea as to what Carrey can do. But try to imagine that this is the first you've seen this guys comedy other than In Living Color. The entire theater was going to pieces when I saw it in 94.
This movie was fun but the second Ace Venture film was the one that made me cry laughing multiple times
Couple of things, the Dolphins never had an actual Dolphin as a mascot, that was something the movie made up.
The Stadium was at the time of the movie known as Joe Robbie Stadium, it has been renamed several times since then and back then they shared the stadium with the Florida Marlins (now the Miami Marlins), my dad and brother went to the Super Bowl the time it was hosted there and me and my dad went to a Marlins Game there once.
As a kid living in south Florida we went on a field trip to a Renaissance Fair, the fair was being held on the grounds of the building where the Party Scene was filmed (where Ace falls in the Shark Tank), so those steps they walk up, i've actually stood on those steps.
And finally, my oldest sister works with Autistic Kids and Dan Marino has an Autistic Son, the company my sister worked for at one time had setup and event that Dan was also a part of, so my sister got to spend the day with Dan Marino.
Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber, and the The Mask. All 3 Jim Carrey films came out the same year and all had animated series made.
About to leave for work. Gunna listen to this in the car! ALLLLLLLLLLLLRIGHTY THEN. 😂😂 I’m so happy you are reacting to more Jim
I played the trumpet for 7th grade band, and coincidently, we also played the Mission: Impossible theme. It sounded.. interesting
Hi Kacee, nice to see you doing another Una Cavazos reaction!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏 More Ace with more animals in the sequel "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls" (1995)😉
You can hear his Canadian accent come in when he says “Sorry” 20:00
Jim Carey’s Genius Character…lol Seen the Actual metal band Cannibal Xorpse…And Lotsa Dudes Dressed like Ace in the Moshpit🤘🤣🫶🏽
20:30 - The mom's the librarian from Ghostbusters !!
At this point the Mission: Impossible films were still years away, the music was from the old 60s/70s TV series at this stage :)
i noticed that in the scene where hes in the tutu and slams his face into the bench the doctor laughs but i would've too and do every time XD
1:39 he's no worse than the last Amazon courier who delivered to me
Great entertaining reaction, yet again. Awesome, fun. Thanks.
20:31 that's the same lady who played the librarian in the first Ghostbusters movie
the ''tiny tank'' they kept the dolphin in was only for game use, since they have it in the stadium. a football field is not small; so, of course, they would be limited in space to use for the tank
love it.. i dare to say, the second one is my favorite one
I love Jim Carrey. Definitely one of the funniest actors ever!
ICYMI (the references, that is):
2:57 "It's alive!" is actually a quote from the 1931 film Frankenstein which was repeated in Young Frankenstein (for obvious reasons).
8:21 This is his impersonation of William Shatner as Captain Kirk from the original Star Trek series.
8:37 Here he's impersonating Mr. Scott (Scotty), chief engineer aboard the Starship Enterprise from the original Star Trek series.
8:47 And here he's impersonating Dr. "Bones" McCoy, the physician aboard the Starship Enterprise from the original series.
13:09 Mission Impossible, including that iconic intro, was originally a TV show that aired from 1966 to 1973.
18:21 This was an homage to the 1986 film Poltergeist, but the actual line is, "This house is clean."
Fun solo reaction, as always. And I remain amazed, as always, at the number of "classics" you've not seen.
27:00 The Finkle/Einhorn reveal is a reference to "The Crying Game" (1992) and re-uses the song of the same name.
@@AndreasE Yeah most people miss this one
If you notice the fruit on the lieutenant Ihorn desk that's the prop for Captain Winky. Lol
Since I only ever saw this on TV as a kid I never realized they actually showed Einhor/Finkles backside in that scene. They definitley cut that out of the network edit lol
Loved this movie when i was young.
But the second movie is still my favorite, i can still remember scenes and start laughing sometimes
If you want to see more physical comedy, I recommend "Tommy boy" (1995, starring Chris Farley).
But for comedy overall, I have a list - and I don't know how long your list is already. ;)
My favorite scene is ace ventura saying einhorn is a man and in the background the song "The Crying Game" performed by Boy George this is a reference from the 1992 classic film The Crying Game directed by Neil Jordan
Jim Carrey was animated like that when he did stand-up comedy and when he was on In living color
Funny thing is,there's an animated tv series for Ace Ventura and acts as a sequel to the movies. Same thing happened for The Mask and Dumb And Dumber. However,Jim Carey did'nt reprise his roles for the animated series.
I am 52 and was to a 3 or 5 movies in a row theater, when this came on, my friend and i looked at each other, and said: ever heard about this moive (no), who is jim carrey, and do u think it is gonna be good.. well damn is was lol. have a great day
This one is a classic. Don’t forget the next one, when nature calls.
"I'm Ray's mother". The last time I saw her she was a librarian and Ray was a Ghostbuster . . . .
@31:47 officer on rightside of screen was caught laughing
32:00 "Did you find the missing diamond?"
Facedesk.
You probably didn't get the Star Trek jokes he made in the empty tank.
It gets better in "Ace Ventura:When Nature Calls" 😂
Exuberant is a wonderful way to describe his acting! He goes all out with such enthusiasm and energy, it's hard to imagine anyone else in the roles he's played. If you want to see more of him in both comedic and more serious roles, I'd suggest The Mask. If you haven't seen it, it is another example of his over-the-top comedy. Also Bruce Almighty, and Fun With Dick & Jane. I really enjoyed his more serious roles as well. Here are a few you might enjoy: The Majestic (one of his lesser-known but not lesser-quality films. It's a more serious movie, but is a beautiful story), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (also starring Cate Winslet. An incredibly unique story and film style!), and The Truman Show. ~Caroline
You had said a few videos ago that you were going to do Overboard with Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn... that would be an excellent movie for you.
15:22 Took the words right out of my mouth.
8:23 Imitating William Shatner as Captain Kirk in Star Trek, the sunglasses playing the part of a communicator.
This is the only movie with a Friends cast member that people did go to see
You picked up on the "Leslie Nielsen" humour 😆Fun fact: Composer Ira Newborn scored the music on both the Naked Gun films and Ace Ventura :)
Most people miss the context at 27:15, the song playing and the guy throwing up in the toilet is a copycat of "the crying game" popular 90s movie where a guy finds out a girl he's banging is actually a guy
You can hear the shards getting smaller and smaller....
WARNING: Assholes are closer than they appear! is still one of my favorite lines while driving.
Im guessing playing the M:I theme in band was interesting because it has a weird time signature (5/4)
"Earth girls are easy" Geena Davis, Jeff Goldblum, Jim Carrey and Damon Wayons
Permission to come aboard Captain Steubing!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
HOORAY !!!!!!! No annoying laugh guy today
as a kid i loved this movie. obviously i did get the dirty joke but i laughed so hard on everything else. if you have little kids, make sure they watch AV an AV2.
I just got a commercial about a new movie called Magical Negros!
32:26 my favourite part.
youtube's subtitles turned "kick heard around the world" to "dick hurt" and I am cracking up
I would NOT want Tio as my landlord. 😂😂😂
Dan marino cant even sell his soul to the devil for a auper bowl win
I really like your laugh and you are very beautiful. Great reaction!!!!
Thanks for this!
Jim has some great fuckin movies i love him.
The other ace Ventura is a MUST Watch too!
as for the Mission: Impossible music, this came out way before Tom Cruise was in the Mission: Impossible movie franchise. at the time, only the TV series of Mission: Impossible was ever known.
I talk to my dog 🐕 the same way 😂
"you know it's going to be funny with him [Jim Carrey] in it" - Have you done Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind yet?
Ace Ventura shaped my sense of humor as a kid. I emulated the *hell* out of Jim Carrey. I didn't quite bend over and talk out of my butt, granted, but I used aaaaaaall the catchphrases for quite a while. Lmfao.
My first boss was like him too. Made the job so much fun
me myself and irene is a funny one with jim carey also
the dolphin is probably named Snowflake because Waterdrop is a really dumb name for any animal
Best comedy ever.
*subtitles : Mission impossible music*
"Thats mission impossible right?"
...
I know the title says "Extra", but for Jim Carrey, this is pretty much on par for him (especially in the 90s).
Lovin the hoodie!
They dressed Sean Young (Einhorn) like a man to do Ray Finkle. Somehow she was able to join the police force and work her way up to captain. The scene where Ace takes out Einhorn/Finkle’s goons was supposed to be longer but it would’ve changed the rating of the movie. The hook was supposed to decapitate the goons and it would’ve gone to R rating.
If you guys haven't seen them, the Hot Shots! movies are great.
Good job.
26:54 The background music when Ventura finds out Finkle and Einhorn are the same person is from a movie called "The Crying Game", where one of its characters is a transsexual.
Last time I heard Super Bowl and Dolphins in the same sentence smh
Tommy Boy 😂😂
Jim Carrey Man on the Moon
