I sure worry about the people living downstairs, I hope that they all made it out safely and alive. Seeing the kids toys and clothes really made me feel sad. 😢
This house was sick! I would never like to have a bedroom downstairs. Their was absolutely nothing to be happy about being stuck down there without having any natural light coming through the windows which their wasn't any that i saw in this house.
If the calendar is from 2022, perhaps the insurance isn’t sorted yet, or they won’t pay. It may have to be demolished and rebuilt again. Wonder where the family went.
The plastic on the windows is winter insulation, on the cheap. 😅 My mom's lingbterm boyfriend had a furnace fire once. It was nearly impossible to get the smell out of some items that he wanted to keep. Nearly all of it had to be thrown out. 😞
Smoke damage would have ruined everything in this house. It makes sense all of it plus the house got abandoned. They’d probably have to rebuild the house from scratch for it to be safe enough for them to stay
Your compassion shines through, as you explored this home. Certainly a sad situation.. - NNY was getting heavily hit with smoke. Hopefully, the wildfires are contained by now.
All those little pieces of blue tape on the furniture in the basement were probably put there buy a restoration company to tell what’s good or bad. That’s what they did to my sisters place, Mabey it’s waiting on insurance to finish everything or insurance decided not to cover it.
Plastic on the window is an old trick to help with energy savings. Folks mostly do this in the winter to help keep their homes warm.

They were probably living downstairs and the top part was for the business.
Hello Juan how are you doing today
They had to leave everything because everything was toxic from the smoke and you can't get the smell out of the cloths..been through it

The reason why these items are left behind is there insurance has probably compensated for the loss
From the looks of it, that fire was caused by the stove in the basement, either someone forgot something on it or had an accident while cooking.

Cellophane on windows kept heat in and cold out.

Weird they left behind clothing like that 😮 cool house! 😊
If you look at the house as a home business, having the bedrooms in the basement makes perfect sense.
Very strange how the upstairs looked pretty good but the downstairs was so bad! Remarkable that they were able to isolate the fire on one level!!

How long has this been abandoned?
It’s called a ditch door.
Asbestos might be why they left it all?
Hello Karen how are you doing today
keep the clips coming
Odd
blue tape on items in basement??
Restoration company’s do this to tell the things to keep or get rid of before they restore the house.

@@nsredneck well then my next question is that mean it stays or goes 🤔
@@MoeLarrycurly1 at my sister place it was for stuff that was no good. And really everything there is probably bad.
