In the 70s it was very common to have bathrooms in colors. Pink purple green yellow were common colors in the old homes 😊 my MIL had a purple bathroom, tub toilet sink everything was purple lol
If they were renting, I assume the tiled closets was to keep them easy to clean between renters. That's my guess. Loved the video, thanks for sharing!
This reminds me of the style that Italian families would have. Especially with all that tile. I never saw tiled closets.
Based on the style of trim, this house was probably built in the 1960s. It has retrofit windows, not replacement windows. It has plaster walls, which were common in the 1960s but were rarely seen after 1990 due to it being too expensive and there being few tradesmen capable of doing it as most had retired. The basement kitchen was probably the original upstairs kitchen. The basement was probably used as an in-law apartment for an elderly parent. BTW, I'm a retired realtor.
@@davidmack4185 I live in southern Ontario. My home was built in 1956, and has been completely upgraded. It also sits on a 70' x 122' lot. When these homes were built, 2 x 4s were actually 2 x 4. The homes built prior to WWII had cedar 2 x 4s.
I grew up in a 1960 home. Such a solid home. My parents lived there for 60 years. I miss it.
Looks like they were in the process of converting the closets into showers so the renters wouldn't have to share a communal one. All kidding aside, I thought it was odd how the toilet in the purple bathroom was positioned so close to the wall when there's plenty of space to have positioned it was away from the wall, leaving some elbow room.
Great explore, I also think 60's, because of the mahagony doors & trim (which I've always hated because mahagony is a beautiful and rare wood), and the metal staircase railing. But some of the colors remind me of the crazy remodels my mom did to our 1912 home. (I've seen recent pics of my old house and they restored it to it's old glory and are selling it for 1.3 mil...) And the tile in the closets - not a clue. I've lived in several rentals and never saw that before...But thanks for documenting this unique house and maybe you could let us know what happens to it!
You should call this The House of Tile. I wonder if the person who lived there worked at a tile place and got a discount.
Those tiles are pretty but seems a bit dangerous. If you’d feel are wet at all you’d go for a slide. Very cool house! I hope it’s being remodeled!
I've gone down more than once on tile like that coming in outta the rain.
@@JohnShinn1960 oh same!! Like walking into Walmart and doing the splits!! Why would anyone put that slippery stuff down!??
That’s a strange location for a big house. It looks like a Wal Mart parking lot. Location is about the only reason I wouldn’t want that house.
Tile in the closet easy to clean
The tile closet looks like the fake stuff it comes in big strips and sitck it on. Sound plasticy. Maybe they were using it as an air b n b bc of the Wi-Fi info? It’s super cool though
So many are in need of a home & many are demolished. It's a shame that they are not given to those who can restore them & live happily ever after.
Hi Noah
This really is a big beautiful house. In my opinion it’s in the wrong location. What I
mean is there are stores right next door. Who wants to look out the window and
see a bunch of stores. I thought the tile closets were a nice touch.
It was strange that the basement had 3 different levels.
I also hope they will renovate this house. As you even said there’s no mold.
As I said it’s a nice house but not a great location. Usually bad kids and gangs
hang around shopping centers sometimes. That is probably who the scrappers
are. Nice work Noah. Stay safe and well. By the way does that guy you were
with, you call him Greg, does he have a channel we could see his vids on?👍😊
I’ve never seen tiled closets and love the purple bathroom. 💜💜💜
Amazing Bungalow 🤩😍 Definitely Still Has Alot Of Potential! The Tiles In Closet R Very Strange 🤣🤣🤣✌❤💪
I don’t think it will renovated. It abuts a commercial area with a large parking lot and other commercial businesses encroaching on it. Probably be repurposed for business use. It’s a shame because it’s a nice looking house.
For a moment there Noah I thought the man in the closet may have been a cleaner lookin homeless druggie you didn't notice, waiting to pounce, but no, it was just Greg of Uncapped Films 2:28
😉👍.
That appeared to be tileboard in the closets, maybe purchased in bulk at a great discount.
Thanks for the tour Noah, was a clean one!
🤠👍
I really liked this one. The location doesn’t look too appealing though. I’m sure it was quite a different area when it was first built. Thanks for sharing.
Love tile everywhere!!!! Love this house! Thank you 😊😊
I believe they tiled the closet to avoid mold...
The tiled closets were something the WIFE wanted.
Why would it be the WIFE that wanted the closets tiled?
That's a bit of a exist comment.
Sexist is what I meant!
Interesting seeing a tiled closet. Weird. Place has some nice bathrooms. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The old farmhouses are my favourite but this was a great explore too!
Maybe the use of tile in the closes is due to keeping it clean. Easier to clean.
That is too nice to demolish,,
I have to admit, I didn’t really fall in love with this one. From the side view, it gave me office building vibes. If revamped, it could have protential to be a B&B, and the owners living downstairs. It probably would attract people who have to come to the area for business and only stay a couple of nights. I don’t think a family would want to live there, so near commercial buildings. Perhaps the tiled closets were easier to spray and wipe down after each person moved out. The rooms were painted in very neutral colours. Perhaps the land is worth more now, if in a commercial area.
Great explore, Noah!! Thanks for taking us along!!
I gotta agree with you Noah I have never seen tiled closets! How weird! That seems like it would be an extra expense (why?). Huh 🤔. 💜💜Loved the bathrooms! Very neat house! That's a lot bigger inside than it looks on the outside. I didn't see any mold. You Canadians seem to like your saunas. I have never known anyone here 🇺🇸 to have one, although it may be a rich thing. 👍✌😊💜
Hi Noah from West Virginia USA 🇺🇲 I like watching your videos 👍😎 nice looking house.
I have never seen a tiled closet before but i like it
Butifol ❤
I feel like there was a sale on tile😂. That’s all the discontinued tile. Or it was someone who did tiling as a job and got a boatload of leftover tile😂. I love the house. It’s huge! Thanks for another awesome video Noah 💖
Nice house, but I wouldn't like to live in a house surrounded by car parks.
It was cute til the 3rd floor basement..I was done b4 u went in..the traffic is a huge no way..
I’ve never seen tiled closets, but it looks cleaner than paint. I like it. This was a beautiful house before.
Last ten minutes I thought it was going to turn into an episode of the backrooms 😂😂
Purple bathroom fittings ❤❤❤
I really hope that they don't tear down this house. I love the house especially the purple 💜 bathroom
I like these modern home tours, there NOT so sad.
Tiled closets!!! Never have to paint!
nice job, nice place for being abandon.
Pretty nice looking house
I KNOW this house
I love the purple 😊, great find. House is awesome.
Gorgeous bathroom
Would buy a house like this thinks its a good one still
❤ I love that house
Yes, that house is very strange to me, but that's just me. I really don't think I would want to live there and have to say oh I'm cabinet number 7, that's where I can put my snacks. I can use the toilet lettered b. The whole living situation is just odd. Thanks for allowing me to see this I learned I don't like it. But that's part of life as well, you like things and you don't like things.
Awesome house thanks for the video
70s house
Really cool 😎🆒 place I love those multi level homes 😎🏡
It looks to me like a house that was modified first for a, what did the realtor below call it, an in-law suite. Later it was modified for renting out rooms or floors. College town? For workers? Couple of families?
Good job can't believe tiled closets
Like the driveway already lol
Great exploration
Nice looking house......i like
Love all that tile work
Blessings 😊
With the area i see darn condos going in its place. Probably going to take over that parking lot too. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
very interesting place with many levels, almost like three floors of a rental at one time, very different lay out for sure.
