OK, one of the legends. Makes you wonder when the great Mr. Murray will make an appearance on the "Fly on the Wall" with Spade and Carvey.
From what I understand, he’s too much of an asshole to have a friendly conversation on a podcast
@@tipofthefingercomedy5071 Bill Murray has done podcasts. I think he's just hard to get in touch with because he doesn't have an agent. I think he tends to do stuff like that with people he already knows personally. He also likes to be spontaneous and not fill up his schedule with "gigs" far into the future.

@@quintenlizardmen2497 - been watching these from the beginning (fall of 2022) and wouldn't consider it rushing to have Bill on at this point. Besides, like a lot of folks, he would have been my first choice as the one I most want to hear from regarding the early days of SNL. It's not a criticism or complaint, just wondering when or even if it will ever happen.
That would be amazing. Bill Murray doesn't make a lot of appearances like that.
I've been an Aykroyd fan since I was a little kid. Ghostbusters, Blues Brothers, Dragnet, Trading Places. Loved watching him in SNL reruns and got to see him live at Bluesfest in Ottawa years ago, and that was fantastic. Guy is a true renaissance man. Absolutely love the guy.

I wished this was on video! Dan Aykroyd is the absolute best. Besides the many well known movies and characters, I really loved him in the movie Nothing But Trouble. He was incredible as the judge!
I wish this podcast was on video. I guess David and Dana don't want it there, yet they have some of the best interviews...
The only guy I would compare my feeling for him would be John Candy. Both legends in my mind.

Dan's the best. And I respect him so much for researching and exploring the unknown and enigmatic outliers of reality.

Dan Aykroyd is an absolute legend ghostbusters ,blues brothers ,Coneheads all that he is incredible . Hes one of the people i look up to
Trading Places was great, and the Chevy Chase and Demi Moore movie with Dan A, Nothing but Trouble was impressive if disturbing
Doctor Detroit is a bit dated but still good for a laugh.
Dan is fascinating. It's a pleasure to listen to him speak because he has so many various interests and experiences.

met Dan a few times, once with my gb car in chicago in 2009 and at gb fan fest in 2019. One of the nicest most humble people around.
My family loves the movie Nothing but trouble. It is a classic in my house.

Dan Aykroyd is such a brilliant and unique talent and individual. Would be fun to drink his vodka and listen to him.
Without Dan Aykroyd my childhood would have been much worse.
Now we just need Billy and Jane to be on to have an episode with all the OG's (I know Billy came in yr 2 but he is still an OG no matter that. It also would be nice to have episodes remembering Gilda and John.
I loved Dan's impression of Jimmy Carter! Especially in The Pepsi Syndrome when he grew to be 90 feet tall!
The Blues Brothers is probably my favorite movie.

I was introduced to Coneheads via "The Best of Saturday Night' reruns on Nick at Nite(I think) back in the early 80's, I was 4 or 5, and I loved it! The Coneheads movie is something that I will stop what I am doing and watch it whenever it's on!
My favorite role for dan is the son of jessica tandy in driving miss daisy...

I just discovered your podcast. It is so wonderful. It brings back such good memories of your exceptional comedy. Also, I love Dan Aykroyd's voice. It is so soothing. It was really interesting to hear what he has been up to and listening to his perspectives as well. The three of you have such repoire with each other that it reminds me of what it is like to be around good old friends...if you got'em.

Will we get to hear from Tommy Davidson someday? It would be a treat for Dana and David to get into the worlds of comedy and performance beyond the orbit of SNL: black comedy clubs, 'In Living Color', Spike Lee's films etc... Mr. Davidson is a legend and would be a great guest.

I went to school with Danny at Pius X HS in Ottawa. We have had two get togethers when he was in town for a musical happening with Downchild Blues Band and another random encounter organized by his Cousin Tom. Danny had the innate ability to mimic a number of the teachers at Pius X .. The dye had been cast early. Great show with Dan. You guys always make me laugh. Keep it up. Don

I do not believe in ghosts, but I like all Ghostbusters' cartoon and live action movies.
In real life, I think ghosts are the chemistry and electrics of the brain and what environment a person is around. Got to relax as much as possible.
Aliens, unidentified flying objects I can see existing, because humans are on their way to doing the same thing with interstellar space travel. Other species must have practiced it around us. Catastrophic events on or near planets would interest others to get away. Survival.
Does SNL exist today if Dan Aykroyd never joins the cast?
Probably not, because he was the only one they had early on who could do impressions, which is the main thing that carried the show throughout its lifetime. Gilda and John supplied the original character concepts while Chevy and Bill got by on their personal charisma.

I do 3rd shift Security for a Building in Boston,they were filming Ghost Busters with all the girls outside my lobby,230 am I heard clapping I walked over it was the girls and Dan some sort of award plaque not sure exactly I was to the side of him he saw me and gave me a second look, while later I walked out my door there was a car there and who comes around the back of it but Dan he saw me and just looked right down at the ground I think he was trying not to laugh ,okay I'm bald and short dressed like a penguin,darn uniform makes us look fat too
