Not gonna lie, one of the craziest things I've ever heard. Like you go on a vice panel, you're prepared, you know what you're up for... Then you say that?? I wish people actually took their advocacy for their positions seriously, even the ones I don't agree with, I want to hear good & serious arguments. I want to challenge my positions, not learn that you have an extra chromosome.

@@fuzz4173 it's super tough to find/get equally qualified peoples in a debate environment online. Listening to 100s of hours of uneducated reactionaries poorly prop up a position I share has done irreversible damage to my psyche. Personally I don't believe in any position I can't saliently defend with my own words and when I see people regurgitate the half baked words of today's popular ideologue it makes me wish I was a collegiate trans athlete.

@@bagatti I just so wish we had people who cared more about things. I want to live in a world where people care about the things they believe in and work towards those ends. Like, I'm pro choice myself, but these pro choice folks on the panel gave us a bad name and made us look dumb as fuck. Jesus. I'm pro choice for reasons I believe in and can argue. I don't care about your feelings, I care about your rationale. To be honest, Sydney, the chick on the left gave the best argument as a side note for being pro-choice than any of the ones actually fighting for it.

@@fuzz4173 avoid the debateosphere, I've heard lefties argue abortion so poorly I started reevaluating my own position in fear that I was making the wrong call. Engaging with radicalism or left wing ideology requires a certain level of cognitive dissonance, as does any radical position. That being said there's a reason the alt right pipeline exists, that being the consessions you have to make don't directly conflict with your own anecdotal perceptions and reality.

But it diminishes all questions of how to solve problems into these weird oppression Olympics of who has it worse gets the attention most. Keep in mind that soccer 50 and 100 years ago looked incredibly differently when it comes to having a balanced plain field and a good organization behind it. It kinda happens the same with videogames, there's nothing now "technically" stopping women from joining but decades and decades of pushback made it so these are now male dominated fields, so for women to enter is to be going against the grain, which is in itself a barrier. In contemporary society, I think we've generally achieved this or at least learned to improve it. If feminism represented the improvement of women's well-being and equal opportunity, I'm all for it. But where modern femanism lose me is when they can not engage in conversation, and their responses are almost robotic and very predictable. They never elaborate more on the issues and always give blanket statements like "men oppress women" or "society oppresses women." Then they're those who use feminism to promote and engage in misandry.

One annoyance I have with beauty standards and personal preferences is that we're for some reason not allowed to have any??? I think the type of people who think this fail to realise that not everybody likes a single type of preference, and people have a wide range for preferences where there can be deviation or like a checklist that only need 3/5 things. @@Brendito1 well, your original post seems to be implying that the reason there are less women on certain fields is not because of sexism but it was simply because they do not want those jobs, so I gave the perspective that alot of women are still being discourage to go there still because of sexism and sexism is systemic if it was deeply ingrained on people that they naturally creates a bias againts a certain gender.

@Yarpen Zigrin I think the point they're trying to make is that Pearl can spit out a lot of facts and statistics but consistently fails to display a true understanding of them. She rarely ever talks about what variables might be involved behind certain statistics or correlations, which shows that she doesn't truly understand what she's actually saying. I'm a red pill female, BTW. And sorry, not sorry, but red pill content creators have nose dived in intellectual quality over the last decade. Karen Straughan would wipe the floor with Pearl.

@@shemac1482 Precisely. I don't expect a master class but a little more than surface level understanding of the facts and data she's using.
For instance when talking about maternity and age her favourite stat is "90% of your eggs are gone at 30", which is an interesting stat but ultimately a meaningless one when in general you ovulate periodically (pun intended :P) until menopause (45-55). She'll mention "geriatric pregnancy starts at 35" but won't say what that even means. There are plenty of reasons why it'd be ideal for you not to wait before having kids, the most important one probably being that it gets harder to get pregnant as you get older but I've never heard her mention that.
She also doesn't know the difference between sample statistics and random chance. Just because 50% of people polled were divorced does not mean you have a 50% chance of getting divorced. It means that if you were to randomly select one person from that sample then you would have have 50% chance of finding someone who was divorced.
Her "facts" on social housing and homelessness for women (in UK) are way off as well. I could go on but I think I've rambled enough :P
