    Great review, Mark! Thank you for covering everything that one would need without dragging on for too long.
    The editing, color grading and the annotations are spot on. Well done sir!
    I'm definitely adding this on my watch list as a potential contender for my next board. Love the feature set and look of it quite a lot!

    I'm debating whether to get the brown or wisteria for air96 since they have very similar specs but with wisteria it's $10 more for some reason. I've seen some Asian reviewers saying they love the Wisteria for its sound and feel. Do you think it's worth the extra money??

    • @ThatMarkGilroy
      @ThatMarkGilroy  Год назад +3

      You can’t really tell from my sound test right? It’s because they’re incredibly similar. I could barely tell myself. Both in terms of sound and feel.
      The only major difference is that Wisteria has a slighter longer travel distance (3.5mm) than the Browns (2.5mm) which is a bit strange for a low profile switch. And, the Wisteria comes factory lubed so that probably accounts for the difference people report.
      To me they also had a slightly higher sound profile (browns are more ‘thocky’, wisteria more ‘poppy’ despite the double spring) but I could barely tell any difference when using them.
      Hope that’s helpful somehow!

    Liked the review mark, I must point out i know nothing about keyboards and you are one of the only UK reviewers of this product, I have what some people may regard a a really stupid question. I currently use a low profile Keychron K3 (i think) when ordering the keychron i had UK layout option choice. However, with the air 96 i noticed that there is only one model chioce. I predominately use for work on both Mac and PC, therefore my questions is without using this with any configuration software (as i am unable to use to to work restrictions) does this provide all UK key functionality?

    • @ThatMarkGilroy
      @ThatMarkGilroy  11 месяцев назад +1

      Cheers James. I’ve not had any issue with the (non ISO) Air96 keyboard so far for all the key functionality I need. With any joy they’ll allow VIA to be used on this one too (I have the new Air75 too which allows you to remap anything you want using VIA)- just published my review for that one.

      That’s a yes to both of those- I prefer the sound/feel/size of the Air96 overall. I use the K3 Pro when I’m in my (day job) office as it’s so easy to throw into a bag and take with me. Nuphy Air96 is now permanently attached to my desk. 👍🏻

    Good day , I have a macbook, also have an 27 inch 4k monitor shipped to my place already, need a low profile keyboard, and so as you praise the Nuphy air96 ... thought maybe to pick that one with brown switches for low sound when typing.... so but wanted to ask if they are easy to switch from macbook to pc and oposite quickly ? and does the connection stays stable usually ? I was thinking to buy the keychron K5 Pro, but found your video... hm, now i think maybe its better for me to pick the nuphy ... the only con is the lack of software on mac though. thanks much

    • @ThatMarkGilroy
      @ThatMarkGilroy  Год назад +1

      Yes the connection is SO much more stable than the Keychron boards I’ve used.
      There are workarounds to customise the keys on a Mac if you really need to on the Nuphy.

    I'd imagine that this would be a similar experience to the 75 regardless...
    If you were choosing one for your main daily driver what would it be between the Air75 and K3 Pro from Keychron?

    • @ThatMarkGilroy

      Apparently it’s a little different due to the plates being different in the Air96 Vs the Air75. Have you seen my K3 Pro review?
      The Air 96 is significantly quieter than the K3 Pro so I would go with the Air as a daily driver for all kinds of reasons. I do have a soft spot for the K3 though.
