what’s ur favorite movie snack? (don’t say whoppers)
whop whops
lettuce
Probably watermelon sour patch kids
Probably da baby
Honestly thoese milk duds go hard but also the watermelon sour patch
This is the highest budget used in any Karsten Runquist video
If he had indeed bought those in the theater, it would've surpassed the budget in his whole trip to France
@@JJJameson. Fr, that’s why people sneak in snacks, no ones going to pay $5 for a box of candy
I was the 1,000 like!
@@iamrohantaank I don't believe you
@@crowstastegood8888 it's been a year, you don't need to reply.
everyone: film critics are so pretentious and self centered they think their opinions are facts
karsten: the thing about nachos...
Karsten didn't even recognize that the most important part of the nachos is the fact you can't eat them during dialogue scenes, which in turn makes them last longer during the film. 2/10 - missed opportunity
@@thepuresh5671 but they also get cold and soggy depending on what u have on ur nachos
@@marrionkhennie imagine 1. not having the dip in a separate cup 2. not shoving that entire thing down during the commercials
Any snack is a movie snack if your bag or pockets are big enough fam
legit, i brought some samosas into a cinema once
i was once seeing a movie with a friend and halfway through they just whip out a whole 2 pound cake
I always have a spot for smoked salmon on my pockets
This reminds me of my friend who brought a whole chicken leg when we went to see endgame
Anything in the theater is a snack when you bring in the dab pen 😅
you should’ve done this video in the dark to simulate how easy it would be to open them all
The sleepover energy created in this video is immaculate

!!!
i’m literally supposed to be working on my presentation for class rn and i’m watching karsten rank movie snacks
ME TOO. lol
Same my dude
same, I was like "what is happening?!"
Avoiding homework to watch someone categories movies snacks: Sure, why not
just make the presentation about movie snacks
Karsten: These are too loud to open during a movie!
The rest of us: Opens candy during the previews
Umm I open it before I get in the room
@@hrgames6978 ummm I open it before I buy it
I just realized a lot of movie snacks make a lot of really loud noises when eating or drinking them like popcorn, nachos, icees and a lot of the candy, which is pretty counter productive considering it’s a goddamn movie theater
GAGAGAGAGAGAGA this is wonderful! PRANK! IT is terrible! I looked in the mirror and saw something UNPRETTY: my face. GAGAGAGAG! But I am happy agayn because I have TWO HOT GIRLFRIENDS and I make cool YT videos with them! Good evening, love and peace, dear hin
@@AxxLAfriku no
i never realized this! now i feel better for bringing my own snack in
It's almost like theater food aren't necessary to enjoy the theater experience
I wonder if the snacks are loud so that the snack buyers effectively advertise their snack cronching to the non-snack buyers, making them more likely to buy some when they go out to the bathroom.
One time my friend made a bunch of spaghetti before we went to watch Finding Dory. He didn’t want to save the spaghetti for later so he duct taped a ziploc bag of spaghetti to his chest and wore it to the movie. 10 minutes in he loudly said “it’s time for dinner” and went to town on the spaghetti.
It’s probably a pretty low tier movie snack.
I need to ask. Did he bring a fork?
tell your friend he is my friend now.
This n***a eating pasta
“it’s time for dinner” has me laughing out loud in my car
Did he detach the bag from his chest or did he leave it on and just shovel the spaghetti up into his mouth from directly under his face?
That looks like the most depressed slushie that I have ever seen

IM LOSING MY MIND AT THIS COMMENT LMAO
I agree. Fuck milk duds
Milk duds more like
Duds
@@andrewduong2740 they ain’t got no comeback from that
milk duds are fire
M&Ms I just immediately associate with the movies because of the AMC pre-trailer spot.
"This is your mission."
"No, this is an envelope."
“We’re all gonna die!!”
i love karsten combining popcorn and cookie dough bites like that scene from ratatouille
Strawberry and cheese!
Nachos are like a trailer snack that I try to knock out before the movie starts or if I’m watching a comedy or action movie where I can hide the crunch
this video just made me feel overly sad that I haven't been in a theatre in over a year, i cannot imagine how good it's gonna feel when it's time to go back.
@Owen B.
I legitimately think that the last film I saw in theaters was Rise of Skywalker, I'm dying to see something good in a theater.
@@comradejosephstalinoftheus8698 mine was sonic which i had fun with but tbh i just wish to be back there no matter the movie, life has become so dull that I would even settle for cats (2019).
@Owen B.
Me too, at least Cats is enjoyably bad, I would watch almost anything in theaters at this point.
@@OwenBMcFly you can you back now, they are open almost everywhere now
omg, the last time was Little Women! such a long time!

As I'm watching more of the video, there are so many other things I can quote in this way
karsten is the pre-evolution of ralph the moviemaker
top tier comment
He kind of looks like 24 Frames of Nick
Ralph is his world-weary future clone
Ralph... But chill version
It’s less of an evolution and more of a transcendence
Why is Karsten so well spoken even when he's talking about movie snacks
I can’t even speak that well for a presentation I’ve worked on for months
Karsten knows that we will just watch anything at this point.
I also love eating the Alvin in the chipmunks dvd. It’s one of my favorite snacks!
0:25
“This week, I don’t have anything to say.”
Snyder Cut: “Alrighty then.”
7:49 Unless you get the sugar free ones 😬
I was on the edge of my seat, the entire runtime.
pretty devastated about the exclusion of twizzlers, those rainbow airhead bites, and Welch's fruit gummies, absolute 10s
Don’t forgot sweetarts ropes! (The ones with the sugar inside the fruit rope)
The airhead bits were my favorite as a kid
The superior movie snack is peanut M&Ms with popcorn, literally gods greatest creation
you know what’s up
Sweet popcorns are good as hell
I should be sleeping but this video seemed life-changing, and it was
you know in Finland when you go to a movie theatrer we have thing called ”irtokarkit” which is just a huge collection of all sorts of amazing different candies and chocolates that you put in a bag and then weigh it by the cashier, also there’s a seperate one for nuts but like mostly chocolate coated nuts. That’s the real shit.
I might go to Finland just to experience this
*Karsten:* (face full of disgust)
*also Karsten:* I like it a lot
This makes me miss the movie theater.
No Raisinets?!? I could be wrong but always thought they were a classic movie snack

why was i so thoroughly entertained by Karsten eating and talking about snacks for 18 minutes
I’ve sometimes eaten buttered popcorn when I would go to the movie theaters. But I think I’m mostly just drinking a soda lol

WAIT UNTIL YOU GET THE PEPPERMINT CRUNCH JUNIOR MINTS AROUND NOVEMBER
Classic Christmas-time snack for me. You don't realize how much the gentlest bit of crunch adds to the junior mint experience
I've got to say, as a canadian my biggest takeaway is that yall have some WILD packaging down south
haha you peasant imagine not eating caviar whilst partaking in viewing a filmé
I also think popcorn is great because of the sheer volume of it, which gives it the most longevity to last for the entire film
Please do a coen brothers or Wes Anderson films rating! :)
I love this guy. Was crying earlier abt life but this genuinely brought a smile to my face.
Ah yes, milk duds at top spot? A man of culture I see.
My ONLY problem with the Milk Dud is when you get close to the bottom they have a tendency to clump together and get stuck in one of the corners.
"Pretty iconic movie snack"
Me, a Canadian: "WTF are cookie dough bites?"
But we have Maynards Candy which is the best candy!

“That’s a pretty solid hole *giggles*” 💕

I didn’t know someone could talk about popcorn so poetically
This video is very important since im about to watch the Snyder cut so I’m taking some advise here
this was a really fun video! it interesting how different movie snacks are in different places
Always good to see a fellow Milk Dud enjoyer
Milk duds for milk buds
I love the seriousness and professionalism you brought to this review 😂😂♥️
M&ms and popcorn will forever be my favourite film combo, they always sell them in big bags in cinemas here (like most other sweets) , so they're far better for the cinema than the boxes
Buncha Crunch is my favorite. I ate it during Parasite, the Lighthouse, the Farewell, the Last Black Man in San Francisco, Little Women, Knives Out, 1917, Ad Astra, Uncut Gems, and many more. Buncha Crunch is now permanently associated with some of my very best cinema memories.
Its the year 2021, the internet is omnipresent and i just found a video on somebody ranking movie snacks. Live is good
Now THIS is the content I subscribed for!
I used to work at the concessions stand at a movie theater and this video just made me so nostalgic
Imagine the AMC employees seeing a random guy come in, but popcorn and a slushee and than just walk out of the lobby.
I’d absolutely lose it.
At the AMC I work at both the plain and peanut M&M’s are in a bag instead of a box, so I think the accessibility is significantly better in that case
Now this, this is the content we need
I usually wait until there is a loud noise to open the candy. Unless it’s quiet in that case 💀
Karsten reviewing movie snacks is the content I am here for 😌
Loving this brutalmoose-style editing!! :)
Thank you for this video Karsten
I’ll remember this assessment next time when I’m ordering food at the theatre
Hey, I have two ideas for dad review videos.
1. Doofenshmirtz(From Phineas and Ferb)
2. Frank Heffley(book series of DOAWK)
The reason why I want the first one is self-explanatory, who wouldn't want a dad review of Doof lol.
I want the second one too. I think reviewing Frank Heffley as a dad would be interesting. One of the things I think you should cover is the fact that he and Susan Heffley put their son Manny first all the time and don't even punish him. He's basically treated as a king, which causes Greg and Rodrick to deal with neglect from their parents. There are also other ways how Frank and Susan Heffley aren't good parents. The Heffley parenting in the household does go out of hand, and I'd like to see you talk about this one as well as Doof’s parenting.
Buncha Crunch are my go-to along with popcorn, sweet and salty goodness!! the noise factor I definitely agree with though, getting them out without much noise is a hassle 😳
I went to see TROS with my mom when it first came out. After the movie we were talking about it and I mentioned the opening crawl, you know, where the play the loud ass Star Wars music to grab your attention so you literally can't miss it.
She goes, "Oh, I didn't read that"
"You... you didn't read it? Why??"
"I was trying to get my m&m's open"
Your honor I rest my case
Bunch a crunch is my go to for sure 💯
Glad to see Junior Mints get some love.
Popcorn with butter has always been the goat for me, but I re-discovered Cookie Dough bites at the theater last week, and they did not disappoint.
some movie popcorn would have complemented this lovely video very well. keep up the good work karsten
i need more videos like this
I don’t know why but this is the most hilarious in educational Karsten video
My favorite movie snack is definitely Mambas. I buy them at dollar tree before going to the movies and empty them into all of my pockets. Every flavor slaps, they don't stick in your teeth as much as starburst, and they're relatively quiet
Walgreens 2 for $5 Swedish Fish and Sour Patch Kids. Get them the day before you go to the theater and put them in the fridge for perfection
I had no clue cookie dough bites were a thing I had literally never seen that before. thank you sir.
people have always made fun of me for getting milk duds at the movies movies so thank god for this video, the representation i didnt know i needed
I will die on the hill that skittles are the perfect movie candy. Crunchy and chewy, tons of flavor so you never get sick of them, and they go well with lots of other snacks.
american snacks are interesting i like the box aspect tbh in canada we have like a dozen options at the theatre and everything is only sold in bags the size of your hand so it's like one candy is enough. also milk duds are my FAVOURITE but they're only sold in a few places
I honestly don’t mind the crunch with M&Ms because they go well with popcorn but I’m definitely with you on whoppers. Also thank you for convincing me that milk duds are really good:)
Whats with all the boxes?? In the uk we have bags which mostly bypasses the noise problems & accessability!
Low key love cold popcorn. I let mine cool off when I make it at home
A bag of (actually good) pick n mix is perfect. I’m not sure if you have these- that much- in the US, but in the UK they are up there with popcorn. The only problem is the bag can be noisy.
was anyone else expecting him to say "I want to thank today's sponsor, Milk Duds" after 16:13
*Seeing Karsten devolve into madness as he characterizes the snacks is incredible*
If you liked the Junior Mints you gotta try sticking them in the freezer for a few hours. They don't solidify entirely and become a really nice chewy consistency.
Ya gotta have one sweet and one savory snack so I like popcorn and crunch bits PB m&ms are also pretty rad
Karsten I don’t know if you’ve done this before but you should do a ranking of your favorite movies
Popcorn always number 1 and then either buncha crunch, junior mints, or recess pieces as the go to candy
saw Babylon recently and went into it knowing it was gonna be 3+ hours in the theater so naturally I bought a popcorn, 2 candies (one sweet, one sour duh), a water and a soda and it was bliss
Broke: Loudly opening candy during a quiet scene
Woke: Opening candy while the lights are still on/during previews
Bespoke: Opening your candy at home and keeping it unwrapped and unboxed in your pocket
Buncha Crunch is a great movie snack especially when eating it with popcorn
My go to movie snacks are Popcorn, nestle buncha crunch and a medium coke
Karsten needs to release stickers of his drawing as merch. Those would be so dope.
didnt know i needed this but glad nonetheless
I think the amount of time it lasts is also worth consideration. I love the taste of Junior Mints, but I can usually finish them in half an hour, definitely not long enough for a full film. Popcorn comes in these huge buckets, so they often last me an entire two hour film.
