I consider Dead Space 3 as the first game that EA personally fricked up by meddling with it so much. I still remember the reason EA made it more blockbuster was because "Dead Space 1 and 2 were too scary for some people", like, what? Whatever God forbid you are scared while playing a HORROR GAME

Hey man keep this up! I enjoyed this thoroughly and subscribed. People are going to notice the hard work and the humor in your projects. YOUR CHANNEL WILL BLOW-UP, SO DON'T STOP!
About the “falling to the void”, I’ve had that going on to, but I noticed something, the times it happened, it was because the game (server) was going on for a long time, I remember spending about 5 - 6 hours straight (we did the side missions), and when we went to the elevator boom, everything was gone; honestly Dead Space 3 is fun to play if you play co-op, if you play alone you are most likely to get bored fast, I even remember turning of the console mid-through the game (solo), so to me, it’s a mixed bag of feelings, on one hand is good in Co-op but solo... it’s a disappointment, not to mention that it no longer was horror and instead became an action game.
Honestly, while this wasn't a true dead space game, it was still a really fun game to play through in co op, the weapon crafting was a very addictive feature
What's really sad about Dead Space 3... is so many concepts here could have worked well. If they'd just calmed down, and EA hadn't molested it. Frozen planet? Cool idea. Give us a big, abandoned, Ishimura-sized industrial colony, full of haunting realms of desolate, frozen grandeur... instead of a ship isolated by the darkness of space, have a colony isolated by the endless icy wastes all around, with epic views, and occasional snowstorms... and make it big. Make the levels big, and uninterrupted, like they used to be; give the player a real sense of how alone they are (even if there's coop), and fill them with dread at the prospect of returning to some previous location, knowing what a spooky trek it will be. In Dead Space 1, the sections that took place outside the ship were a really interesting contrast; knowing how infested the ship was, the player felt almost... safer outside. But the exterior environment was inherently hostile for other reasons. An icy planet gives you the same opportunity for contrast; the interior won't kill you, but the inhabitants might. You might be safer from monsters outside, but you won't last long. But no, instead they had to clutter the environments, hem you in, never do any of the things that made Dead Space 1 (and even Dead Space 2 at times) such an atmospheric, isolating experience.
It's a weakness of the storytelling if your finale is dependent on witnessing character arcs that happen in optional side missions. Especially ones that can ONLY be completed in co op - anyone playing solo would HAVE to miss them.
BTW script and characters in this game is probably one of the most ridiculous things I ever seen in media, it hard to believe that this is still Dead Space, survival horror and Isaac and Ellie, not some cheap movie with teenagers gun blazing while bullying each other in progress and dying most stupid from reasons and ways.
I hope you do the other Dead Space games! If it isn't too much trouble, I'd love to see the longplay of the games, to see the shenanigans you guys get into
I think unfortunately I don't have the longplay of DS3 anymore, but I do have plans to do DS1 and 2 and may eventually get a secondary channel for longplay videos. I'm not really that interesting unedited though, lol
Thanks for this video, I fn gave up on chapter 14 when I realized that I feeling myself like Isaac, losing connection with the reality and not quite understanding what am I doing and where am I going and if all this elevators, puzzles, ladders and hubs are same, or different, or just hallucinations.
See, when my friend and I did this, when we rode elevators, we would punch each other non-stop, and then when the door opened we would both say "civil civil" or just "civil" was damn fun while it lasted.
mechanics wise and customization for Dead space 2 and 3 were better than 1 but 1 had the atmosphere. i think dead space 2 personally had the best of both worlds. it had the atmosphere and the refined mechanics.
Actually the game seems to imply that buckle is still alive since we can’t shoot him So basically we literally left buckle to die even though we seriously could have saved him

Evil Issac tossing dumb Issac the Thermos makes sense if you play his optional quests honestly they're badass and that's how the rest of the game should've been. It's a shame EA wouldn't stop being EA and let Viseral create the original vision for DS3
I had a lot of fun playing dead space 3 even solo but especially in coop. In my opinion it's a very good idea to cover some extra story behind side quests even if they are only doable in coop. This gives more depths to a game and much more games should do so, because most side quest are boring as fuck. But at the end you are totally right. It wasn't even close to be a good dead space game. In fact. It wasn't a dead space game at all except characters and necromorphs. The alien at the end was not only poorly designed but also silly designed. It didn't make sense that everything is just rocks and they still were highly advanced in technology. Maybe this could have been some kind of beleavable. But they didn't write the story to make me beleave it. It felt wrong. Same appears to the very last section with the dumb moon monster. Good idea. Very bad mission design at the end. (I would call these 2 parts the last third of the game. These aren't 2 quarters) The first 2 thirds were pretty good. I liked the space station. It was kinda spooky and scary partially. The planet was... Okay. But the really plague this game has suffered was the boring action parts. They just have thrown many enemy's at you and tried to make it cool. But it wasn't. It never is. Just to throw things at you or to show something because you think "wow, this would be awesome" then it isn't. Nowadays movies show this very good. Transformers, jurassic world, you name it. They all feel like movies in which the director thought "oh man, it would look cool if we are going to do...". With no story or build up. It maybe is cool once. But propably not even once. I'm really sick of it and I hope for better writing in future. But... Too ma y people are shcker for dumb and silly stuff. So we most likely have to accept that the future of gaming and movies will be full of dumb movies insulting our intelligence.
I think Dead Space 3 fails to make action be satisfying by shoving it at you so much in such big quantity. In DS1 and 2 you would walk for a while all to yourself but on edge because you could get jumped at any moment, there was a lot of combat but there were intervals in between, and the bigger the encounter the bigger the pause after it, the game allowed you to reset so that you could be invested fully in the each next one. In DS3 it's like a lid was torn off and the game just drowns you in endless battles, almost every room and corridor is a battle, there are hardly any times when the game turns the action down a bit, it ends up being so boring, because you're not in the loop of up-and-down tension, you're almost constantly in high-tension. Obviously the amount of dumb stuff that halt the game annoyingly doesn't help at all, but for me and my friend the biggest turn off was precisely that the game just didn't know when to stop and take a break.
Unfortunately not. Back when this was recorded I would get rid of the raw files when I was done because I didn't have enough space to keep them. Some of the newer videos I still have the raw files for, but honestly? We're not interesting unedited.
And how the actual ending to the series was an insult to the player and basically meant the previous 3 entire games were a complete waste of time because you achieved NOTHING.
I can respect everyone's opinion about this game, but as a hardcore fan, you have to admit they really tried with this one. This game was more of a COD and Lost Planet 3 hybrid due to similarities, and I get that. There is many moments that are too predictable, but you have to understand that they wanted to go for a different direction instead of horror again(which was slightly integrated into the game) which would have been stale. And for the record, EA was the one fucking over Visceral and fucking up the game, not Visceral Games themselves. Even when pressured by Electric Atrocities, the bane company that shuts down developing studios, Visceral actually managed to flesh out many things in the game. The story? Not horrible, but not great either. Meanwhile during a universal crisis, as we all know, we have Prick Norton simping very hard for Ellie, and don't forget, he fucked over the entire squad by having the Unitologists follow them. I knew from the jump that Norton was a prick since the beginning, became worse when he finds Ellie again, and before the fight with the Nexus, we learn that he's been helping Danik and that's where he crossed the line. Good riddance to bad trash, whether or not he was affected by the Marker signal, because there are theories about that, or my theory is that he was an undercover Unitologist since God knows how long after the events in Uxor and before meeting Isaac. And the optional missions is a very unique concept of where it's beneficial to the story, where there is a little bit more depth, and there are rewards in the end which can actually be very essential down the line because as you progress further into the game, you're already getting maxed out. Even with the scavenger bots, in which I'll admit were annoying at first and I never understood them at first, but the more I played, I began to understand they can be valuable which is mainly for more parts. Just like the optional missions, the more you use the scavenger bots, the more parts you get which helps you get maxed out. Decent concept at best, yet appreciated in the end. In fact, underappreciated. Carver's story was no different than Isaac's, dealing with his demons, and that's one of the things I really appreciate in the game. Visceral Games actually took the time to give Carver an arc of his own, and it takes me all the way back to Dead Space 2 which makes me appreciate the game even more.. Until the Awakened DLC defeated its entire purpose. Now, as much as I genuinely enjoyed the DLC, it has plot holes and raises many questions. How Isaac and Carver survived is beyond me even. And how the remaining Unitologists had that much time to build a church at the Terra Nova blows my mind, because there is NO way that's possible when the Brethren Moons view even the Unitologists as thorns in their sights. I may have a theory of it: when Isaac was getting onto the Eudora, the Unitologists might have shot a tracking device on the engine the moment they destroyed it, and Danik had other forces to take over the Terra Nova yet it took them at least a few days because not all of their ships had enough Shockpoint drives or had any at all as tech was becoming scarce due to the fact that humanity is at the brink of extinction also. I feel like I'm at the edge of my seat with you guys, so I understand how you all feel about the cliffhanger. Trust me, I know the pain too well. But know this: it's not Visceral's fault, it's EA. After the DLC, I've had mixed feelings about how the story would go on. Honestly, I like to think the DLC is either in a different timeline, or a bad dream sequence, like a "What If" chapter. Because the base game had everything established already, the DLC was just "fan service" at the very best because horror was lacking in the main game as it isn't scary like the last 2 games. I can only hope EA suffers the same fate everyone did in the DLC. Brethren Moons will rise and devour them since EA are the monsters here. All in all, Dead Space 3 wasn't that bad game of a game. But what I'll admit is bullshit is the microtransactions. Who's behind that? It goes without saying: it's EA. Always EA and their microtransactions. "Money Money Money!" - Mr. Krabs. All the cons aside, the game is decent at best. I appreciate the direction it was going- hell, it might have been the longest Dead Space game in history in the book. And you have to admit, Visceral Games really spent that much time working on it. Just imagine if EA never pressured them into sales, this would have been a fucking masterpiece of a game with so much variety and depth. But regardless, it's still a masterpiece to me. If EA never set sales standards(or even got involved in the first place to the point where they shut down Visceral Games), we would have gotten the 4th game by now. If the 4th game was made from all the elements of the previous games, it would have been a very close second to the first game, maybe even surpass it. One of these days though... One of these days.. Also, one more thing: Dead Space 3 has much better suit variety now. I found out that the Advanced Suit is in the game! Yeah, the Advanced Suit IS IN DEAD SPACE 3! But, it's only exclusive to the PC. Here's a link of how to get it: ruclips.net/video/nfU15_sNP68/видео.html&feature=emb_logo It's actually ironic, because the suit WAS originally gonna be in the game, but got scrapped from the base game ultimately. It took 7 years for someone to hack in to the game, and surprisingly enough, the suit technically does exist within, meaning it was planned to be in the game all along but got scrapped due to EA's sloppy and greedy nature to rush. To this day, I am both shocked and thrilled since I found out, which makes the game better in that regard, but still, my review of the game as a whole stands.
I personally like the game alot I haven't played through the dlc yet but I do plan to. I hope in the remake for dead space one they acknowledge carver in some way since I was usually second player I always played as him.
“YOU. STOLE. MY. GIRLFRIEND!”

I love how Evil Isaac is also rightfully furious tthat Evil Jazza stole Isaac's girlfriend

Just watched that part LMAO

You sir are hilarious
I wish I had a friend like that.
Is there a video of their playthrough just to listen to their reactions and conversations
Unfortunately not. Back when this was recorded I would get rid of the raw files when I was done because I didn't have enough space to keep them. Some of the newer videos I still have the raw files for, but honestly? We're not interesting unedited.
This is brilliant. Holy heck Batman, you kids can really write
Oh look it's the Blazkowicz twins on the elevator.
What REEEEEALLY sucks is how they put the actual ending to the series in the DLC
And how the actual ending to the series was an insult to the player and basically meant the previous 3 entire games were a complete waste of time because you achieved NOTHING.
"murdered more property owners." Lol
Why we didn't get Ellie as the second player is just baffling.
I mean carver is a pretty cool character and has his own sub plot if you do side missions.
Here's a link of how to get it:

It's actually ironic, because the suit WAS originally gonna be in the game, but got scrapped from the base game ultimately.
