Is Matt To’omua aware Rugby Australia has no money?

Good pod fellas. Nothing beats Aussie banter, surprised you boys arent bigger in the YT Rugby space but I've only just found this so it could be some algorithm issues.

Let me get this straight. You want the players picked from overseas that couldn't get you out of the RWC pool last year, because why? They went overseas for more money? They aren't showing they are better than the players here. Also, Joe and RA have no control over foreign players fitness and rest requirements. Schmidts job is to set you up for the Lions next year. What good is selecting people that aren't here next year? League bound players should NOT be selected.
IMO you guys have the players and now the coaching staff in Australia to beat Wales comfortably.

I agree with you on the overseas selections to a degree but you have to point to Eddie Jones as the main catalyst for the failure. He set everyone up with the lack of culture

@@PJSO Oh Eddie was a HUGE mistake by RA. I never bought into his supposed Rugby Coaching pedigree. He took over the Brumbies and the Wallabies from (imo) a better coach in Rod McQueen, who had built both sides. He was a Bok assistant coach for 2007. Now he seemed to do well with England, but how much of that squad he had, was already built?
The moment RA sacked Dave Rennie, 9 months before a RWC, you could see colossal failure on the horizon. Australia just didn't have the cattle, to just randomly chuck away experience in the hopes untested youngsters would win big games at a RWC.
I think Joe Schmidt will be good for Australia. I'm not Australian, but I think they can put together a good side, injuries permitting, to beat Wales. Next year who knows where Joe will stand on imports, but right now he needs to be given support to try something different with local talent.

Well said. Yeah I'm a Kiwi and I just want the Wallabies and Wales to heal. Both these teams are hurting and you feel for them somewhat.

@@PJSO Yeah I'm an expat Kiwi. I have been watching Australian rugby fall apart for last couple of decades. I hope they recover, but it won't be an overnight fix like Eddie seemed to try and tell the Australian Rugby public with his "smash and grab" Bledisloe and RWC comments.
