- Thoughts immediately following the final whistle in Wellington where the All Blacks and Wallabies went head to head in their last Rugby Championship game.
Satiti looks brilliant at 6
He did. He must just keeps his feet on the ground and stay humble. A few times he was starting to get a bit irritating like Itoje with the smiling shouting and hand clapping all the time.
@@rccalpz7294 Maybe you're mixing him with Tupou Vaa'i (similar looking, lock) who is complete niggle and talk all game every game.
@rccalpz7294 yea your mistaking him for Vaii
@@rccalpz7294that's Vaai, and he should stay just like that, the softie softie stuff, a lock forward should not be soft and nice, some talk is good
@@ho6277 Vaa'i a revelation this year. And I'm really enjoying watching him be a menace to the opposition. Itoje comparison is a complement
Wellington curse was lifted because the hire the South African DJ to give the crowd some Gees 🎉
Scott Barrett has had a lot of criticism but he played really well tonight. So did Damien McKenzie. Such a relief to see the All Blacks play for 80 minutes,
I thought that might have been Scott Barrett's best game for the ABs this year at far.
The key word for Scott is Inconsistency. Only has a couple good games a Year
@@Zion-Bear he was injured a lot during the super season.
@@Zion-Bear Before this year Scott Barret has had incredible work rate but terrible discipline. This year just average all around and walking last 20, slightly less average today.
Australia under Joe making remarkable progress. This time last year, they were awful. Roll on Autumn tours, will be in Dublin and hopefully ambushing AB and the rest. What then, Lions tour, can't wait.
Can't tackle to save their lives...
Codie will probably lead the haka next. Either him or Savea.
Codie for sure
Codie will lead the Haka.
Codie will lead the Haka.
But the All Blacks scoring in the last quarter (finally), but also keeping Australia scoreless for 40 minutes is impressive.
Beauden proved he's the best 10, Ioane proved he is a winger, Sititi if the future, absolutely brilliant, I think Vaii outperformed Barrett, TJ signed his own obituary, but otherwise a great game... but the improvement from Australia, I truly think they are in for a chance to win the next world cup... as long as they keep improving
I thought different I saw a very flat an unimaginative attack especially in phase play that was pulled out by some good individual moments like Jordan for his try, Sititi amazing footwork and offload to start the Sevu try, Tamaiti with a massive charge in and Clarke first try was all kinds of a mess people running crossfield aimlessly until Caleb straightened up and ran a good line 2nd Clarke try was much better shape from the attack though
I do think give Beaudy another game at 10 to see though but I won’t be surprised if they go back to D Mac as I feel the speed and flow of the attack is much better with him and Ratima though he sometimes gets lost at moments and starts to run backwards 😂
My guess is the next haka leader would be Codie Taylor. Love your work all the way from Wellington NZ👍
Agreed.
Some dubious referee decisions! Wallabies improving under JS
However, ABs were ferocious in tackles ...
Very questionable calls!
Which ones?
Jordan at 15, no more discussion about this please.
Yup I think we "found" our starting side. Barrett at 10, Jordan at 15 d
Dmac off the bench. ALB looks the goods. Maybe JB to replace Havilli on the bench. 😊
@@jeremyviall4168 not a Havili fan, so Jordie or Reiko to fill that gap.
Id keep Barret at 12. And ALB to 13. Rieko not greatest form and would be my 23 because of versatility
@@aymericboulle6813 that's fair comment... We need Cam Roigard back, then I'm happy with the half back set up.
@@jeremyviall4168or dmac at 15 will Jordan at wing
Better! by Australia.
Good game but i am a springbok supporter so my nevers wont stop untill after the springbok game.
Australia just needs to come to terms with its just not a RU country anymore.
Aussie seem to be on the road to recovery
Kiwi coach will do that ;)
Na......they are paper thin...let in some easy tries then could not get over the line
First half was beautiful from Aus, and then ABs lit it up second half. All round it was a beautiful match to watch
NZ defence was ruthless. Australia looking better and better. Unlucky at times in that 2nd half. Joe might make them competitive for next year's Lions tour. Excited about them 😃
Decent showing by the Aussies. Much respect. Would be great if they could get more overseas-based players into the mix.
The leader of the haka doesn''t need to be a Maori. I think Tana Umaga may have been the first non Maori to lead the haka. Richie McCaw has lead the haka.
Tana Umaga lead the haka the best IMO.
True. But if there is a Māoris in the side, then it should be lead by a maori
Howzit Tim, tell you what, aussie looked really good, much like Wales they can only get better, they just need a bit more depth
I could be wrong, but I think Codie Taylor will lead the haka going forward.
Congratulations All Blacks
This result was never in doubt 🧐 , though.
Razor has finally figured out how to use the bench .. 😂
Only issue I had was leaving TJ on the field for 60+ mins
Aus played better than 13 points to me, good game and nice to watch, both teams on the up!
Tim seemingly feels about Sweet Caroline like I do about ABBA 😂
😂
Australia’s defence is non existent
Would it partly be Sir Wayne's advise and strategic play and play the full 80 mins ?
Yup, good calls again, Tim. NZ hopefully getting there. Concerned with our discipline and seem to lose the breakdown battle for long periods each game (?). Now tuipulotu is back, out tight 5 might be shored up. Would like a Blackadder, Savea, Sititi back row. Backline looks ok, still issues in the midfield.
Litmus test in a few weeks. Some big games coming up.
Oz, to me, us a very well coached squad playing above themselves these past couple of games. Dominated the breakdown for a while. Experience and consistent selection, and they could move up the rankings.
Congrats NZ well done
I’m happier with a come from behind win than a thrashing.
Subbing Ratima and DMac at same time was a great idea (I predicted it, so I’m pleased with my (limited) selection skills) as it changed one 9/10 combination for another.
Time for ‘Why does love do this to me’ rather than ‘Sweet Caroline’.
Inconsistant yellow card warning and led to a ridiculous yellow card.
Codie Taylor does the haka
If Pendenara hadn't done that stupid box kick at the beginning instead of retaining possession, aust would never have got the first try.
And if my auntie had balls she would be my uncle
Thanks Tim, great analysis as usual. Love from Portugal
Oz are on the up… some of their offloads let them down in that 1st half
Yeah, Oz were better, but thankfully the All Blacks were too.
They will be a big problem when the 2027 cup rolls round.
Satitti is the next Michael Jones
ALB and Jordie Barrett are a great centre pairing, with Rieko coming in as an impact player.
Jordie is not a center, look at the difference with ALB in at 12
Lets go SA!!!
AB need Clarke !!
Temp-z4u
Yes he is awesome and Sititi
Its not really the elder who leads the haka. Im guessing Cody but wouldnt be surprised to see Cortez or Tamaiti giving it a go...
Australia's best half of Rugby in a long time was the 2nd half of last week's Bledisloe Cup game where they came from 21 points down to be within 3 points of NZ...they had several soft moments in today's 1st half
The best period was near the end where the All Blacks defense was staggering considering they were ahead by about 20 points.
Cody Taylor will get the assignment to
lead the (HAKA)
NZ defence very good but Australia just don't have the world class players to break a good team down
Aussies looked much better today than they have in a while. Gordon is way better in 9 than White.
Aussie were competitive the whole game. Lets not forget that both WC finalists and a WC semi-finalist are the other teams in the RC. Not your standard comp.
Dude so quick off the mark. Big cheeky but what is your French channel called
I was well-impressed with both teams. Australia looked bery good but new zealand impressed me in the 2nd half. That was one of the best halves of rhgby for a single team possible
I think Australia just needs to play some weaker teams to get their confidence back.australia still a good team they just out of form at the moment you never write off the aussies.
Great commentary - and great ( 20 point) prediction. Must put a bet on after listening to you in the future. You seem to be very accurate.
Congrats to NZ on breaking the curse of Wellington and not scoring in the final 20 today
Comfortable win for the ABs and they looked pretty ordinary. Cane missed quite a few tackles and gave away 2-3 penalties, bit like Slipper, a legend of the game but well past his prime. How all those fully trained officials could look at Taylor playing the ball on the ground that blatantly in multiple slo-mo replays and not award a penalty is baffling, wouldn't have helped the wobs but when you're playing the ABs at home, you don't need that sort of stuff going against you.
That Lions tour is looking less and less of a competition with every game. The wobs need to put together 240 minutes of rugby of a level of quality they haven't managed for more than about 20-30 minutes at the moment. We need to see BIG improvements on this end of year tour coming up and I'm not convinced we will.
I think they were distracted by the Wallaby player laying all over the wrong side of the ruck.
@@lukec2226 Nah, Pietsch was fine, nowhere near the ball and rolled away north to south even with 2 ABs players trying to pin him in.
Yeah, how do all these professional officials who do this for a living disagree with you ? Weird
@@Holloweve What is the point of this comment?
Law 15.15 "Players on the ground must attempt to move away from the ball and must not play the ball in the ruck or as it emerges."
That was a clear penalty and I think it's ok to be frustrated that wasn't picked up considering it was reviewed by the TMO and the ref in the process of checking to see if a try should be awarded while acknowledging that they're human and they miss stuff and that's a fact of life.
@eggchasers the B&I Lions better make a call to Argentina to arrange for a tour there Australia are going to be embarrassed
I'd say it'll be Cody Taylor who leads the haka after TJ
Those beautiful orange jerseys…
My pick for the haka would be Codie taylor
"Cattle" is an unfortunate description.
Codie Taylor will probably lead the haka
Love the content! Keep up the great work!
Finally getting their bench right.
Ref was trash not biased just trash
Beaudie a hidden treasure 😮😊
Well done, lads 💪🏽
TJ was woefull.
❤ thanks Tim
Codie Taylor
All Black no2 should have been penalized for playing the ball on the ground instead of a Wallaby scrum
Wallabys should have had repeat infringement yellow as well, so we can call it even.
'New Zealand didn't have an answer to it' - absolute rubbish.
'Haaka'!!!!!!!!!!
Wallis Satiti is the new Ardie Savea.....
Haha after that game i thought the exact same thing. Id love to see him at 8.
Australia look to be getting a proper structured style.
ABs looked better then last week but most of the same issues it seems, hard to say their current level but if I'm France or us Irish I'm not too worried. Lot of their success was from broken field which against a more polished team may not yield as much.
90% performance from the Irish should do it ya reckon 😆
Paddies are gonna get smacked up...
I'm Irish & you have a short memory. Best not comment if you think that. There's very little between top teams. It really boils down to attitude on the day. For us fans, it's about respectful attitude everyday. Don't forget.
Codire Taylor will lead Haka
Codire, is that what he is called when he has a bad game😂
Irishman in Australia.. watching the golf instead. All I need is your recap mate.
Yuck
Missed a great 1st half by Auz
Bellreive is it or Teatree
Four more ¥ears and you can watch your team go out in the quarters. Enjoy the golf.
@@Marius_vanderLubbe Aus should not get the world cup or the lion's tour until they are competitive at a tier 1 level.
I love a "spirited performance".........from the Wallaby duds.....a sad little team really...one close win...x5 ties to x1 in this game
I didn't expect Australia to win. They didn't. BUT - I enjoyed their passion. They're starting to look like a reasonable team...However, drop Tupou - he's lazy, out of shape, and afraid of contact....If you watch his game, he's always in the backround - get rid of him and find a mongrel...
Much improved performance from the ABs. But. The November tour will have mych stronger teams than wallabies.
Good defensive improvement from the wallabies. Attack was a mess but that's indicated by the state of union down under. Joe Schmidt will progress those wallabies and I can't wait to see them playing up to standard again. World rugby needs a powerful Australian team.
Probably Cody Taylor lead Haka or the young bloods Williams Lomax Reiko should give it a crack 🤷🏼♂️
Australia aren't that far off ,based on last week's result, but unfortunately, they tend to let some small amount of fear into their heads, like it's built into their psyche now. I believe Joe will bring them back to their glory days within the next couple of years. They just need to keep the same squad, barring injuries, and let the cohesion build up.
I think they have the players just not the experience just yet
If you told me Vaa'i, Clarke and a young Samoan named Wallace would be standouts at the start of the year I'd think you were drunk..
Joseph Suaalii will make a big difference to the Wallabies backs. Size and experience at elite level.
I was at the game in Wellington - was by far the best atmosphere I've experienced at a rugby match at the cake tin in years.
I 'm not sure 3 years will be enough to pivot Australia from the weak team that they are becoming to a real contender in the World Cup. At least they will be at home.
Congrats to the ABs! Australia looked great at times, but their fitness is lacking. They are moving in the right direction, though!
Dont be fooled...this was average. The end of year tour will teach more lessons
Watch Valatini hold Satiti on the first scrum allowing Calloway a clear run around the blindside. Should have been a penalty to NZ and would have given NZ the momentum at the start. Well done valatini for getting away with that.
The first 10 minutes 0f the 2nd half was the worst rugby I've seen in a long time if ever. Poor handling, dodgy officiating
Wallabies are only good for the first half. They need proper conditioning. Whoever they have now is not good enough.
Dave Rennie was doing a good Job with the Wallabies.. Too bad RA felt the need to Inject Eddie Jones Months out from the WC and here they are again with another Kiwi coach post WC 😅
Im fairly sure we will see another young gun loosie in Peter Lakai come end of year tour...
Timmy boy until you came along there was only one man Richard McCaw that had ever made me question my sexuality. Now there is 2. You are a wonder of life. ❤

Codie Taylor next in line for leading haka
Codie Taylor is next to do the haka after TJ 😁😁👍
Codie Taylor to lead the Haka 👍🏼
Score at Will Jordan 🎉
Codie Taylor will lead the haka
I think Codie might lead the haka
Cody Taylor (senior Māori to lead the Haka)
