    Was lucky enough to be at the game and for me it’s clear that Barrett is the better fit at 10 with dmac on the bench and Jordan at fullback. I thought Cortez off the bench with his injection of pace was really positive, and I thought ALB was very solid. Seen enough of rieko and Reece, can’t wait to see fainga’anuku back in black

      @marlonchung2407 awesome hope you enjoyed it at the game. I wasnt at the game and still feel Barrett isnt the solution for 10 and we havent any depth in that position for starting No 10 at all. Reiko and Reece yes agree, but dont hold your breath.

    It feels like Razor is a little bit out of his depth, hopefully he grows into the position. 10, 12 and 13 is the biggest concern for the A.B.s

    Hi Mark, a bit of AB magic. With BB on 10 and Jordan on 15, like I have said all along, will deliver results. And the bench came on earlier and the AB broke the Wellington and last 20 minutes voodoo. Impressed with the Wallaby growth. Some areas to polish and they will be an acomplished side again.

      @tobysmeiman6921 Hola. Thanks for sharing your view. Alternatively I am far from convinced, but more importantly no depth building remains the trend with Razor. Australia are on the bounce for sure.

  • @Thudsrayz
    @Thudsrayz 2 часа назад +3

    Cheers Mark. Mostly agree. I'm unconvinced nz has a starting test level 10 in the squad (and even in the country). I'm more convinced tuipulotu/vaai to start, with a Blackadder 6, Savea 7, Sititi 8 back row. Scott Barrett, who I'm a fan of, has had an off year. Injured during SRP, possibly still unfit? Cane, great servant but reckon he's lost a step. It seemed our breakdown is still being targeted by opponents, and i don't think that's a selection issue. The players are good enough.
    ALB did a lot, Proctor neeeeeeeds an opportunity. Unsure what he has to do. Very happy with our outside backs stocks. Jordan at 15 😉
    Oz seems an extremely well coached team playing above themselves. More experience and consistent selection and they'll be pushing the top 5. They're progessing with their scrum, lineout and kickoff reception (k/off recptn could only improve). Unsure they'll be doing so this season tho

    • @insiderugbywithmark
      @insiderugbywithmark  Час назад +1

      @Thudsrayz hey thanks man. Your back row I agree with. Scott Barrett I agree. Ok, re your Jordan thing. If you have B Barrett and DMAC in the team then as we saw DMAC is better coming off then bench, Depth in the No 10 shirt is non existent.
      Re Australia, dont think they played above themselves, I think that is their new base line and are getting better and better thanks to Joe S.

    Thought we were a bit clunky in the first half but give credit to the Wallabies for competing and making the ABs work for it.
    Beauden isn't the answer at 10 and his goalkicking isn't good enough imo to win us tight games. Thought Dmac was good off the bench with his pace and creativity.
    Tosi also provided good bench impact with a couple of strong ruck turnovers and carries. Tuipulotu also added some grunt off the bench with strong carries and good lineout work. Cortez definitely needs to start and can't wait to see Roigard back as an impact player. 12 and 13 definitely looked pedestrian and defensively Reiko got caught out on more than one occasion.

      @TPRugbyfan exactly and it just shows what can happen when you give the young guys a chance, they can blossom like Sititi, Vaai, and Ratima have done. My gripe is, we havent seen enough of those opportunities for others.

    It is pleasing to note some steady growth in the ABs. We knew that, at some point the ABs will turn the corner. I think winning or losing, isn't much of a point, but the quality of the game that counts. ABs are in a building phase, and the Aussies as well, Joe is doing great work.....👍! The Australian team isn't done yet!

    Great work Mark massive committment getting this video uploaded given its the hour of the wolf for you. My take on the test:
    Wallabies Pros: Building towards the long term and showing hope for the future which hasn't been felt in recent years esp when Eddie was the coach. Schmidt doing a great job. Great set piece, brave defence and innovative attack.
    Wallabies Cons: Finishing and ball security.
    All Blacks Pros: Clarke, Setiti, Vaa'i and Williams. They were simply brilliant. Jordan's locked that fullback jersey; its his.
    All Blacks Cons: Early penalties conceeded and getting pushed around when defending but the final quarter they adjusted and defended well.

      Wallabies, 100% very few of us have been beating their drum, but now after these last two performances people are recognizing what Joe is doing and achieving, its only up from here. The more time he gets with them as a squad it will grow.

    Suprised AB scrum not more on top .. Clarke is critical for the AB .. heaven forbid he gets injured .. Sititi is just a hurricane !! What a force .. gotta give Schmidt so much credit in turning the Aussies around .. well with the players they have .. taken Razor a while and AB still not really clicking ..

    Hi Mark. 💯 % appreciation for Cane. 👍 to TJ. Well refereed match. Plummer @ 10 , Havilli/ALB and Proctor as midfield trial run. Ruben Love @ 15. If the way forward isn't going to be a trial and error approach I might as well watch the highlights of the matches.

    Good assessment Mark. Beauden Barret, ALB, Sititi, Tupou Vaai, Clarke and Jordan played well I thought. Cane, Reiko, TJ, Havili, Reece, Dmac and Jacobson need to go. Bring on the young blood to replace these guys. Crazy seeing Proctor in his number ones in the stands and not out on the field.

    You state that Rieko Ioane missed 3 tackles in central midfield just in the first half, please can you put the game times of when these misses happened? The match stats suggest that he only missed two tackles all game, the same as Clarke, Cane, Havili and Jordan.
    Personally, I saw nothing wrong with his defence.
