Hi Mark, what super rugby team do you support?

As a South African I had NZ by 2 points last weekend. But mistakes at crucial times, like the knock on by Will Jordan, gave the Springboks the opportunities they needed to turn the game away from them. This week, my gut feeling is New Zealand by 12, it is up to them to not through it away.

With Pollard selected, I think the idea is to keep it tight in the first half and with Sasha coming on it will be all guns blazing in the second half especially in the last 20 minutes. Also consider that the AB's couldn't score in the last 20 minutes of their last 5 tests.

Hi Mark, I think that the AB's have a stronger team this week as apposed to last week and think that Will Jordan is a better fullback than a winger, although he does play well as a winger. the Boks were also a surprise with Pollard and Willie Le Roux back, and a surprise 5/3 split on the bench, I am hoping for another Bok win.

Your starting 10/15 combination would be Plummer and Perofeta? Wow. Really don't get the constant DMac scrutiny. He hasn't been perfect but every good thing the ABs have done so far under Razor has had his (Mackenzie) influence on it.

Mark the excitement in SA is at its peak. People are going crazy ! Today is Bok Friday so supporters are wearing their green bok tops to work, school, woman shopping etc. One SA fan said Fozzie could have chosen this NZ team - just a bit of banter. No rain 16 °C wind 24 SSE. Who knows. By the time Beauden and TJ comes off the bench the Bokke could already have won the game. So wasted bench.

Good AB selection adjustments, experience from bench this time means Boks don’t finish over top of us this time hopefully. Every chance Sititi makes an impact. I’d rather we keep ball in hand 4th qtr if defending a lead, no kicking it back to hand, where our discipline gets challenged by teams forced to play catch up thru running it back. That’s a risk Bok’s are equipped to take, it’s just not in their dna to do so otherwise, so let’s not gift them ball like that again! AB’s too often fall back to super rugby style, negative kick it away long to defend leads, as if the more in keeping with our dna, positive ball in hand attacking play that gained the lead wasn’t working! Gotta be brave and keep the faith. Both teams likely improve but IMO this AB team should win this test, if they bring last week’s intensity - but discipline to where ref. (Matt Carley, England) is at must be better (onfield leadership) Boks were better adapted to playing under NH ref.

There is an obvious gameplan with this springbok selection. The All Blacks had a gameplan that worked because they kept South Africa in their own 22 and made it difficult for them to exit. The clear and obvious reason for this was the fact that Sacha plays too flat hence Pollard being brought in to negate that. The ABs are going to employ the same game plan ad its going to fail because they'll be kicking onto a flyhalf that plays deep. As for the scrums, the Boks had dominance albeit not overwhelming. The ABs must be careful in not being penalised during scrum time where last week TJ delayed feeding the scrum ball until Willaims had a proper hit. I predict a more dominant performance by the Boks and the Boks to win by at least 10.

I've seen many kiwi's lately refer to the loose trio as the back three. In SA the back three is the two wings and the fullback and the two flank and no8 is referred to as the loose trio. Is this a kiwi thing?

Don't agree with you about Cobus Reinach. He's still strong, but too slow for this modern game. Being caught behind the pack to many times lately.

Hi Mark. This preview video has just gotten me very excited for the game thanks. I also think the ABs will edge this one. Take note of the difference in atmosphere with the local support in Cape Town for ABs, the stadium is not particularly intimidating, ABs would have fully acclimatized now and will be comfortable and relaxed, which is always a danger! Also something to note is what's on the line - Freedom Cup, win streak for Springboks not done against ABs since I think the 40s! Also ABs always find a way to bounce back! Not to mention the world ranking permutations, Boks could drop to 3rd and ABs could go #1! With all this in mind I think the Boks don't like being favourites so I've literally put money on ABs to win at the TAB, it hurt a bit being a Bok fan I won't lie 😅😅 but I'm betting with my head on this one.
