    Thanks for the great analysis, Mark. I would add another player that I think could be critical for the Boks, and that's Willie Le Roux. If he gets into the game positively, he could really spark the backs, which was really lacking last week. His tactical kicking can also be very effective, as we saw with the Bulls in the URC. If he doesn't gets into the game, which can happen, then look for SFM to come on at full back.

      As a Bokke I think needs to move on from Willie.
      I’m a fan of this All Blacks team they are not as good as the team Foster had but their tactics are far better.
      Boks will not win 2027 World Cup because of depth but because we have the best players which means we gotta play them

      @@adrianincapetown7043 Anyone who’s watched the Bulls play this year knows how good Willie is right now. Absolutely invaluable to their backline, which is why it’s such a shame KLA won’t be playing. He, Moodie and KLA have been electric and what he’s added to that Bulls setup cannot be overstated. And I say this as a Stormers fan.

    Evidently Razor thinks you’re wrong about DMac too, Mark! On GBR ANZ, Christian Cullen talked about the importance of 10’s and 15’s games complementing each other. While you mention that there will be more pressure on DMac without BB as decoy, reckon Jordan will offer him more options in attack. I would love to see Jordan hitting the line off DMac’s lateral playmaking - he’s got that predatory instinct Cullen had.

      @MRRBOKK thank you for the comment. NZ is at a very different stage of evolution than SA. We have a new coaching set up, different philosophy and plenty of young players. Rassie is working with World Cup winners and the coaching style has been stable for years. That said it is the best measure for Razor to see where the ABs are at. Id rather been the chasing than the hunted in this situation heading toward 2027.

    Mark...prediction?

    • @insiderugbywithmark
      @insiderugbywithmark  Месяц назад

      @Jakkalsie Not an easy one to call. This is what I will say. ABs will miss Blackadder and Clarke for what they contributed last week. As many know, Jordan at Fullback for me is wrong. DMAC will have all of the pressure, no B.Barrett as decoy or backstop should he stumble, big issues for the AB´s Then the ABs see a new SA defensive pattern now with Pollard at 10 so they need to find a way of defeating that. Chip kicks, run at him, something different. Impact of the Kiwi bench in the backs this week should be impactful.

    • @Jakkalsie
      @Jakkalsie Месяц назад

      Agree fully on Clark and Blackadder! Glad to see 'new' folks getting some needed play time. You can not buy experience...has to be earned.
      Boks are lethal....we know there is no B team. Capetown not as Bok friendly as last week and at sea level so no 60m kicks. I have Boks by 6. Cheers.

  • @tobysmeiman6921

    Would be fatal to leave Etzebeth and Willie out of this discusion. Along with PSDT, Eben will wreck defenses. Willie Le Roux is a general when running attacks and reading games. That maturity was missed the previous games and maybe forgotten. So Mark, I actually rate him higher than Beauden.

    Sorry Mark , there’s 1 major factor that has not been addressed due to not being an ALL BOKS supporter, & it deals with the central physical dynamics of the boks,,,, the alter mate PRESSURE GAME ! I take u back to 2019 pool game against the abs , if u watched if the was I build to immense power and pressure, the boks when all over the abs & faf put up a errand kick barret retrieved & scored. The boks went straight back into attack & set the pressure only to have faf do it again and abs had scored twice in a matter of minutes and the boks shut down !
    Twickenham 4 years later we see what could be described as the complete bok game b4 the World Cup, only to then lose central players Marx & Am and then Bongi in the final. So we haven’t had the reproduction again. I don’t want to say last week the abs weren’t good ? I’m going to go out on a limb and say it looked like the boks wanted to observe proceedings, similarly to the Mt smart game where the didn’t contest the line out and there seemed to be equal-scrums no 2nd shift.
    OF COURSE this could all just be wishful thinking on my behalf or a mystical experience from all the pixie dust I have been in during lately,,,,, but ,,, some of US R longing to c this event just once more. I guess I’m sitting on my hands in the expectation !

    ABs will never dominate as long as Savea is playing 8. Balance and dynamics of the back row is all wrong. You need size, power and speed in such cruicial positions, where they link all facets of play. Power carries, bending the line and dominating the tackle is key and you need size and bulk. Id be surprised if the boks dont put 10+ points. Razor needs to grow some and pick Savea at 7.

  • @neliusmuller7842

    The AB's have seriously no choice, but to try and evolve their player base to try and match the Boks. Rassie is far ahead on couching.. A real blessing for South African rugby... Hope the Boks turn up... My player of the match.... The great Handre Pollard

      @neliusmuller7842 Yes, we must remember, if we can, NZ and SA are at very different stages of their evolution. Razor has taken over and is trying to grow the NZ team and game, that doesnt happen overnight. Good luck and enjoy the game.

      @David-f1u interesting comment, let me translate that for you into New Zealand speak........Annihilated is not 15 pts........the Boks made mistakes because NZ pressured them into them.......and perhaps you won because of our poor game management strategy........see, there are always two or more ways in looking at things, Enjoy the game :-)
