  • With this experiment we are testing out an curious hypothosis: does watching a specific video during a WBTB increases one's ability to become lucid? The whole experiment revolves around two videos: the video above, which is Part One. And this video, which is part two:

    The Wake Back to Bed (WBTB) technique is a favorite among both beginner and expert oneironauts. It is one of the easiest ways to become lucid. As a reminder, the WBTB is when we wake up approximately 4-6 hours after falling asleep, right before those long stretches of dreaming occur, when our REM cycles are at their longest (REM is when we dream). During that time we spend about 15 minutes gently waking up our minds, while keeping our bodies at rest. After the time is up, we go back to bed, hopefully right into a dream.
    Why take part in this groggy mayhem? To clear our minds of the fogginess brought on by deep sleep, so that when we start those long sessions of dreaming, we have a clear conscious intent to become lucid.
    We know that a WBTB works for most, but we want to see if there is a way to improve the experience. With this experiment we are testing out an curious hypothesis: does watching a specific video during a WBTB increases one's ability to become lucid?
    The experiment is fairly simple. You'll want to start off watching the video above as a preamble to the experiment itself. After watching the video, you'll need to perform a WBTB as your normally would. Don't worry--if you're new to this technique, our first video will explain how to do it, easy peasy lemon squeezy. Once you wake up at the appropriate time (in the groggy early morning hours) it'll be time to watch the second video ( • Wake Back to Bed: An E... )
    Good luck, have fun, and report back! Feel free to post responses below or on our site at dreamlabs.io/experiments/view/...

    Highschool student; the best method for my sleep schedule is WILD, but many say it's the hardest one to do. I don't have the hours of the night to waste any sleep. ;_;
