  • Biluta Packraft Review -
    I bought this packraft from an eBay seller for a bargain price of £240.
    Compared to my other inflatables this is a very different beast, however will it be any good for what I actually want it for?
    I've been out on the water in it in this video - • Inflatable Kayaking - ... and these are my thoughts after that outing.
    Kit seen/used in this video -
    The pumps etc all came from Amazon and can be found in my Amazon Kayaking Shop - www.amazon.co....

    Hey up. Wrt to PSI. Aim for 'FIRM' and then tempering then Firm again. You tend to have inflation bags out and about (they weigh nothing and dont have a PSI gauge 🤣)

      Ey up Raf 😁 yeah with IBs they say inflate until you can't push anymore in I believe. When you say tempering, I take it you mean leave it a little while to settle? When I went out in it, it felt really soft at first. Then I dragged it out to pop the skeg in and put a bit more air in.

      Tempering, leave on water, as air cools when on water. If of course the water is cold, packraft goes squidgy. Best advice is inflate to firm, put boat on water (tie up of course), sort stuff out (pfd, drink, snacks, the stock market, the kids 🤣), then return topup to firm again. Its all relative to land air temp you put in, and cold water env you use it. Converse to this on a hot day ensure you deflate soon after leaving the water you dont want a large POP 😁

      Yeah you're absolutely right. although they'll also take a little longer as this doesn't track as straight as the other boats... Pros and cons :)

    Exciting to see you review a packraft. Was going to ask how you attached the skeg, so looking forward to your video on that. There are many RUclips videos of bikes attached to packrafts so you should have no problem finding a solution. Any plans to do a video of you using the packraft? Thanks.

      Yeah I'll get the skeg video done in a couple of weeks - I'm away in Wales next week so there's going to be a lag :)
      My only concern about loading the bike onto the packraft is punctures as bikes tend to have sharp aspects. But I'll find a way to protect it, probably using whatever rucksack I've carried everything in.
      I have done one video with this already - ruclips.net/video/n2qzhuLZkFU/видео.html

    Still trying hard to like these things but never say never eh? If it floats and you can paddle it, it'll always have an interest. Keep up the good work Karl.

    Hi how is this boat holding up 8 months on, I like the idea of a drop stitch floor and Skeg modification looks like a handy little boat ,but basically has it lit popped or have you encountered any major problems with it cheers…

      @MoreThanJustaCleaner  Год назад

      It hasn't popped per se however I did get a small hole in it doing whitewater on the river Lune. The video is relatively recent The Pink Flamingo trip. I've also done a repair video on it.
      I also have an Aquaglide Expedition 85 - considerably dearer but much more robust - it was also used on the Flamingo trip, without issue. It's worth watching that if only to see how much hammer the boats took with all the times we ground out 😏😁👍
