    More stable sounds good to me. X500 and “tippy” are frequently mentioned in the same sentence. Great to see paddlers from all around the world, you’re the first Singapore paddler that I’ve seen on RUclips. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks for the video. Looks like they are really getting the manufacturing down. I would like to see them seal off the back storage area so less water gets in. I would also like the combing upgraded to be easier to use with all skirts.

      @@creativeadventures2030 I may try that on my v2 or cut a sheet of PVC fabric myself and glue it in place.

    V2 owner here. The extra hull protection would have saved me from a nasty puncture a few weeks back. But, to be honest, I'm surprised that they've apparently done nothing to address the common issue with punctures behind the seat.

    Decathlon sold out of the V2 a while back, so waiting for V3 is your only option. I'm very happy with my V2, but a little more stability wouldn't hurt. The V3 still isn't available at Decathlon's web site. Thanks for the early review.

    The reinforcement strip on V3 looks like it's the same material as the hull. That should allow both pieces to have similar pliability, and also expand and contract at the same rate, which should result in lesss leaks over time.
    I also guess that the wider strip is a strategy to avoid leaks caused by creases around the keel.

    Thank you for this video. This is the first time I see a V3 X500.
    Does the carrying bag have a V3 label?
    You mention a thicker floor. I am wondering if that causes the V3 being heavier than the V2, and if it is more difficult to fold.
    I am looking out for your follow up review.

    • @creativeadventures2030
      @creativeadventures2030  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@sean2795 yes there is the V3 label on the bag. The weight is still 18 kg approximately. I have confirmed that they have also improved on the bladder behind the seat, besides the area around the combing area.

    Thanks for the video!🙌 So a more stable kayak, that means also slower. V1 was less stable but also faster than V2, do you agree? I have the V2, but seems that I will not be in a hurry to buy a V3.🤗

      @@danerik.westerlind you are welcome! I think the V3 speed is not compromised, from my first paddle. However, I will time it the next time. There seems to be some improvement on the rear bladder just behind the seat, I was recently told.

    Have you had any problems with V2 up to this point? how did you store it (packed in a backpack or did you unpack it)?

    • @creativeadventures2030
      @creativeadventures2030  5 месяцев назад

      I always keep it packed but I try to fold it cleanly without having any folds or creases because over time it will weaken the pvc.

    • @restonthewind
      @restonthewind 5 месяцев назад +1

      I've had my V2 for less than a year, but I've paddled it dozens of time. I take it out once or twice a week. At first, I stored it in the backpack. Later, I installed wall mounts in my garage to hang it on the wall at 5 psi while not in use, but I still transported it to and from the water in the backpack. Finally, I stopped using the backpack. After deflating, I lay it flat face up and fold the bow and stern over the center of the kayak without cinching. I transport it in the back of my hatchback with the rear seat folded down.
      The backpack is very nice, and if I had a long hike to the water, I'd use it, but carrying the boat a short distance after inflating is no more trouble than using the backpack and avoids much folding and cinching that could weaken the PVC over time.
