His art style with the eyes is eerie.

Yes! Please completely remove the “work” of that person. Peace.

Rupnik's work is ugly, formulaic, and shallow. It should be removed regardless of whether the artist is a pervert.

It is nauseating to see Rupnik’s “art” work in some catholic churches and religious pamphlets! It is wrong to keep using them, that is indirect endorsement of Rupnik himself

Finally some serious discussion on this disgusting art and it's evil creator Mario Rupnik. It's hard to imagine why it's taken so long to reach this point to remove his art. May Cardinal Sean O'Malley do the right thing and pursue this to the end for the sake of the Church and for justice for the Sisters. Sadly the Holy Father is deaf and blinded about this abuse concerning his confiere Mario Rupnik and is unwilling to remove Rupnik and his artwork. Furthermore let his Jesuit community be responsible for the financial cost of the removal and not the laity or the respective Shrines.

O'Malley is useless. When abortion advocate Ted Kennedy died, O'Malley said the funeral Mass himself in the chief Boston cathedral, thus putting his stamp of approval on Kennedy's life and acts. A Catholic funeral for Kennedy yes. But not in a cathedral or by O'Malley

Way to go EWTN not shying away from uncomfortable questions!! There's no reason to avoid shaming the predator and his enablers and defenders!
It's only my opinion but Fr Rupnik's art even apart from his person is not worthy of representing holy things. It is simply not good enough. His work is only so widely distributed due to his network of enablers.

Dear Our Lady Lourdes please protect your shrine from all harms and dangers. We all need this shrine for healing and nany miracles taking place everyday day. I especially follow the Rosary devotion everyday from Lourdes. Do not let anyone destroy it. The force of satan are stronger than ever now

Yeah St Peters was built using funds collected as a result of wrongly confusing Christendom in Europe to buy their place in heaven. Let the bishops do a cleansing mass where wherever his art is. Guilty or not.

The art should be removed because it's creepy and ugly. I cannot for life of me understand how its become ubiquitous in some our of churches. It's a mockery of the Byzantine style that we should be treasuring more.

I have always wondered, those that are abused, why don't they ever report it immediately rather than years, decades later or after the accuser has passed away. As for the murals, there's so much worse in the world and why don't people say anything? Hmm!!Just saying!
Another point, the Catholic Church is always under attack and yet other denominations are worse as I have seen. 🤔🤷‍♀️🤔🤷‍♀️ There's quite a few murals around the country so why is it that people are now complaining about these ones after some have been PROBABLY admired without even really looking??
There's quite a bit to discuss.
The world needs prayer and we need to really pray more cause this world is definitely headed in the wrong direction and it's sad and fearful.

    Ordinarily l’d say no-One doesn’t tell galleries what to do-but a world
Famous shrine like Fatima or Lourdes? Yes. Under these peculiar and extremely creepy circumstances l would wonder if the depraved nature of the artist, the prominent placement in areas dedicated to holiness and purity and the potential for spiritual conflict would allow for leaving them in place. I am myself an artist and a Catholic. I agree with the speaker and hope to see them removed. Thank you.

Puritanism is a heresy... It's against virtues. Scrupulosity is a sin and that makes people exaggerate and that is very common with TLM. It makes people accuse very easily others and themselves. Scrupulosity is not from God

stop spreading american culture, only americans take "pride" that in work of God. it's prob a sinful association.. you should not sell the artist for God's work, so when audiences see them, they see Jesus, not the artist.

The artwork is not offensive in itself and should remain. The author obviously had issues but so did Caravagio and Michael Angelo and a number of other religious artists. We should be more concerned about Pope Francis and his support for Fr. James Martin and the gay homosexual agenda.

    • @freddiefreihofer7716

The "artwork" should not remain. It's as shallow as the the guitar music and sappy lyrics which have polluted the Novus Ordo Mass.

If The "Art" is sacrilegious then it's not sacred.
