    As somebody who dives and is around water a lot. I don't want to take anything expensive as its a tool, the casio duro, citizen and scurfa watches are probably the best analogue watches as they work well and are cheap enough to not care, I have lost multiple watches in the sea due to spring bar failures or strap failures.

    I always loved the super-compressor dive watched and made the Longines Legend Diver as sort of an attainable grail watch. However while researching abit, here in the asian market i came across a very little talked about Orient called the King Diver while looks almost of a homage to the pre mentioned Longines.
    While many speaks highly of the Kamasu and Mako, I didnt know Orient made super-compressor, or super-compressor style watch. The King Diver is said to be a reproduction of a original super compressor model releaswd in 1965. And Being 1/10th the price where i live compared to my grail Longines, it is now in my humble collection as my daily.

    Christopher Ward, RZE & Circula all have true super compressor watches in their portfolio. I love the Skin Diver look & Longines actually has a Heritage Skin Diver as well, not sure why it was left out when the Legend Diver was mentioned for the Compressor Style. Many microbrands have come with their own skin diver, like Zelos, Albany, Foster, Montoir, Seals Watch Co etc. Wolbrook is another great brand for the Skin Diver.

    • @alunjones2550
      @alunjones2550 7 месяцев назад

      @@swedishhiker9861 Sorry but you're wrong. The pressure difference can be very significant. You're only considering if an aircraft is pressurised. Many pilots can fly in un-pressurised aircraft at altitudes over 25'000'. If the crystal is not secured to compensate for a considerably higher internal pressure it could very easily pop off. That's why I was curious what manufacturers do to prevent this.
