Love the Balaton! Went swimming there this summer! My wife is Magyar so we do a month yearly. We need to move there and just accept the pay cut! So safe and family-oriented!
We went to Tihany when we were in Hungary in 2021. We also took the boat from Siófok. We took the tram up to the Benedictine Abbey, but too hilly and didn’t go inside. Stay fluffy! We tried Lavender ice cream. It was our first time. (Eric)
Again, love the video and your style of presenting it! I first visited Tihany when I was 2,5 years old in 1967 (that was the first time my father dared to go back after he fled the country in 1956). Since then I’ve visited Tihany numerous times showing it to (Dutch) family and friends. They all enjoyed the abbey, the village and the surroundings very much. Very much worth a visit!
It depends on what kind of experience you look for. Siófok is good if you have kids as there are many activities besides laying on the beach and going for a swim (the arcades during the night can be fun, there is a little zoo, some gokart circuit etc). Or using Siófok as an HQ and visit other places from there like Füred, Tihany, Keszthely, Badacsony or the Balatonboglár region could be a good idea. But if you are not super into laying on the beach for several days, then a weekend should be enough for a nostalgic experience :)
Hey there! You'll need to take a train from Budapest (Kelenföld) to Balatonfüred and from there Buses take you to Tihany, it's about a 2,5 hour journey in one direction from Budapest. :)
If you could also try out the Echo, hoping that your voice may indeed return to you, what would you shout out loud? :)
Stuffed Cabbage Adventure😂
That's a mouthful but next time will surely try :D
Penz - because then it would return to me!
That's one way to cheat the system :D
