RE sells on emotions whilst Honda sells on reliability & trust!

    • @Nadheem721
      @Nadheem721 3 года назад +34

Have you ever heard about RE 650?...
And you need to understand one thing the word retro itself represent the past emotions and yes RE succeeded in keeping that emotion in thier bikes and yes thier bike has reliability issues in the past and i agree being reliable is a postive point but if that reliability can take away that emotion which needed in this kind of bikes then RE will also be like that failed bikes like Jawa and impereale

    • @yatishbajpai8478

@@Nadheem721 my comment is based on the experience of RE's in my family for last 40 years.
I don't call Jawa or Empiralle as successful bikes.
They don't have that huge bandwidth of providing customer service almost everywhere in India like RE does.
They failed for other reasons too.
At the same time you would hardly find a person who'd say RE's customer care service, body parts quality etc is better than Honda.
Till 2019 RE kept on selling the best selling classic with that outdated meter console.
And RE lovers kept saying, "This is the charm of RE Classic."
Glad they have decided to move on finally and updating in the recently launched and upcoming bikes.

@@yatishbajpai8478as a classic 350 bs4 owner i can agree that services centers are the worst .. but i have no problem with that most of the trouble shooting in bike is done by me and for me repairing my own bike also an emotion and if anything extreme happen i would visit a mechanic near me who is a expert especially in enfield but there isn't such thing happened till now ... servicing part is a different story...... and talking about parts quality i think RE is the only brand which is having a history of using all metal parts in this segment while others use plastics i think honda highness is new to the table and only time can prove how much quality does it has..😉

@@Nadheem721 don't even start talking about the parts quality of RE.😑😑
My classic's footrest came off while i was riding the bike in the middle of a busy highway. Fortunately the speed was in mid 30's but it still was a narrow escape.
They didn't even frown when i went to the showroom & told them about it. Just changed it for 800 something rupees and behaved like nothing happened.
      Pathetic!!!
Nothing can bring back my trust & confidence on my bike, i don't ever exceed 60 kmph now.
I'm glad you can troubleshoot & repair yours by yourself, saves you a lot of money & you know your bike much better that way...that's really good!😊

      @Nadheem721 3 года назад +1

@@yatishbajpai8478 what you mean footrest came off ...you mean by rusting?.... iam not talking about how good enfield quality is or anything like that .... you need to understand one thing there are pro and cons in any material ....example just take a look at the alloy vs steel wheel ...in comparison to steel alloys are light weight and rust proof and people says alloys serve better build quality than steel wheel but people don't understand there is a con for alloys and that con is a pro for steel wheels means its not flexible as steel wheels and also in my personal opinion steel wheels preserve that retro look better than alloys.... meanwhile if you own an enfield it need proper cleaning and care

CB350 owner here. Done around 1300 kms now and no complaints so far. Superb performance and after sales service is just next level. No doubt Meteor is a big step up for RE but I think it's good for touring not for city rides because it weighs 10 kg more than the cb350 and the handling is not that nimbal as there with the CB350. @@kittupathak9930 Did 1200 kms on a 3-day road trip with my Meteor last month. 90% National highways and remaining was ghat section with some critical hairpins.
The bike didn't disappoint me in any way. After every 120-140 kms took a much needed tea break. No back pain ever. Indian highways (especially the concrete ones) do take a toll as road shocks are more than asphalt paving. But honestly, everything was smooth with the bike and me on its saddle. Average Fuel economy (full tank to low fuel warning light) was 41.13 kmpl, so Meteor is frugal even if ridden at 90-100 kmph in a smooth manner without sudden acceleration-deceleration cycles.
Now coming to Honda, it is equally capable. On long road trips, it has competent mechanicals to be a mile muncher. At the end of the day, either of the 2 are great companions. One cannot be wrong with the choice. Preference of seating posture varies from person to person and overall, it's the only practical deciding factor other than brand fascination.

    1 -- Big Wing Showroom
2 -- In place of Navigation voice control , they could have given it like meteor of nxt gen classic .
3-- Digital part is too small . It shows too much information and for that the digital part needs to be bigger for better readability.Like pulsar 150 or apache 160 2V digital part .
Honda had a great chance to rule 350 cc segment but just due to these things it blew it .
Meteor captured the market more due to enhancements and also due to these silly mistake things from Honda.

I love Honda CB350 for City and build quality but if I see the Service Centers and parts availability coverage by Royal Enfield, is far better than Honda. No doubt Honda CB350 is a great bike, if you ask me, I would like to have these both of them. Meteor has a cruiser riding triangle and one is not expected to stand and ride, here need no comparison to CB350 as they are different completely. Again if you ask me strictly, thinking all factors and only one bike I have to chose, I will pick Royal Enfield Meteor as per today's factors.

Honda highness is avilable only at big wings honda .. and not many of its mechnaics are trained to service it also every time u need to service ur bike or a general chk up one need to find particular dealer ... Vs RE has multiple service centers across the country .. My heart & brain both with RE meteor .. it's a sexy bike .. looks more man-ly

If I had moolah to spend on bike, would definitely go with Honda CB350. Refinement and Reliability are class apart when it comes to Honda. Also as mentioned correctly, cruiser has limited applicability whereas a street bike (CB350) is versatile.

@@adarshdeepsingh961 Absolutely bro no second thoughts. Myself had owned Bullet 500 for quite long time but reliability of RE is always questionable. Will not speak about refinement coz RE owner never thinks about refinement, buying RE is emotional decision always and we bullet riders own it for the pure feel of it. Nonetheless we cannot deny the quality and refinement that Honda brings to the table.

@@mangeshtendulkar81 ya bro ihave both honda and re in my family but apart from all the corns re is not just a bike that u can live with it u have to manage all things after buying it from good mechanic to good spare parts shop but with honda u feel a bit disconnected with the bike the honda provides everything with the bike
But after 5-6 year the resale will go in favour of re with huge margines

    • @Rightforrightright

Re is more refined because less noise and vibration and long age run re is durable, Honda will disappear after some years but royal Enfield still can find 1940 ,50, 70,90 models literally on road , Honda’s durability over others just a belief and imagination, my friend’s Honda is rusting 1 year only , it is I can see

@@Rightforrightright lol RE's refinement comes nowhere near close to Honda's refinement, RE in itself isnt bad but there's no comparison bween RE and Honda

Each and every channel is forcibly promoting Honda CB350 over RE Meteor 350.
    1. The biggest negative for CB 350 is the after sales service whereas RE has one of the best service networks in India.
    2. CB 350 doesn't have any engine gaurd.
    3. It's reliability is a concern in Indian roads as the Retro Tourer from Honda is yet to prove itself in Indian conditions. Here RE is the tried and tested one.
    3. Honda is allowing the big wings only to sell this particular motorcycle whereas RE has everything under a single umbrella.

Honda still has to prove itself but don’t forget meteor too comes with new engine and design changes. Trust me RE service sucks too, there mechanics are below average. First hand experience 😢😢
