I absolutely love this film. Joe Stephens and especially Matt McConaughey's performances are so good. I love the Texas Rock soundtrack too. The Illuminati plotline was insane!! The True Detective/Texas Chainsaw Massacre:NG theory is awesome. The black stars.... carcosa. The yellow king.

My favorite moment was the chainsaw chase through 2" thick trees where you visibly see the speeding chainsaw hit them and just bounce rather than digging in, instantly toppling them or even throwing any sort of sawdust or anything.
I loved Vilmer in this movie, he's arguably the best part. Keep in mind Leatherface just sat there and screamed the entire movie and never killed anyone at all. He was out of character.
