He has a 6 octave range and the highest note he has hit is a G8... 4 tones higher than the end of an 88 key piano. Y'all just need to go take a couple hours and watch the movie The Bodyguard so you can get the story line mixed with her glorious songs. You'll love it! Whitney's songs are the soundtrack for the movie. One of the biggest selling soundtracks of all time, with some of her biggest hits ever. Aside from The Bodyguard soundtrack, check out her singing One Moment in Time (there's a great video from her performance at the '89 Grammys). Also... when she sang the Star Spangled Banner at the '91 Super Bowl. It's amazing. The pure joy on her face when she sang... was electrifying.

They don’t call her the VOICE for nothing- I first hear Whitney in 1985 and have been hooked on that voice ever since- I’ve been lucky to hear her sing live at a few concerts at the beginning of her career, when she was at the very height of her vocal power - it was truly unreal and felt like her voice was touching my soul - I’m so blessed to have experience that - listen to One moment in time - live at the Grammys - absolute power!!!! ❤️
I love the way she smiles just before she opens up her biggest note at the bridge. Like, watch me do this. And I am blown away every time. Irreplaceable voice. And, yes, like many of our greatest singers, she can sing multiple octaves, seemingly without limit.

Side note, Kevin Costner in the movie & Whitney were best friends. He gave the eulogy at her funeral. He was broken hearted.

She was one of the greats. Such a loss when she died. So glad you reacted to this song and really appreciated her talent. I know so many of us requested this song.

The Bodyguard came out when I was in school. Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Gloria Estefan were my intro to powerful singers. Then I went back to the 60s and 70s and discovered Ella Fitzgerald and Arerha Franklin.
There is an undeniable reason that Whitney was known as "The Voice".
You think this was something, listen her sing the "The Star Spangled Banner", you won't be able to hardly breath afterwards.

Whitney had the voice of an angel. I’ll always miss her. I remember watching The Bodyguard with my mom when I was 6 and just falling in love with her. I got so excited every time she sang.
They call her “The Voice”. Saw her Live, on her first tour and realized her voice was “The Truth”....GOD blessed her with some pipes...We left the show like, Ok GOD did that..Talk about next level.
