Great video! I really dig the week in reviews! I know that these are hard to make when not much is going on. I was looking forward to the new Rep plates, but seeing those prices is a bit of a turn off. My newsfeed has been flooded with Pillar 4's push of a bunch of snake oil and trendy gym tech garbage. Even though I never really took GGR seriously, they have now sunk really low. I can't even credit Cooper for being a pioneer in home gym equipment reviews. If anything, he just got there first. And that's it. Not to mention that arrogant snot gets under my skin.. There are so many more channels that have always delivered superior content- such as yours. I've always enjoyed the Buff Dudes. They seem genuine and have never gotten themselves swept up in the RUclips fitness drama. My gym is definitely leg machine heavy. And seeing that new B.O.S. leg press, I am seriously considering adding that to to my arsenal. Sorry for the long comment. This review covered a ton of topics to comment on. Great job!
Thanks for watching the week in reviews, helps make the time to create them worth it. I don't blame coop for getting his money and selling but clearly some of these reviews are if equipment they never used 😥 I definitely miss hack squats and leg press...but hey I got my Bulgarian split squats
I like the bells leg machines but I still dont wanna spend that much. I keep looking on marketplace to no luck. Do you know what thread the bells handles are for the ss4? Wondering if its the same as the titan that I have, then I would buy me some handles.
Beltfedstrength is making their tricep straps so it wouldn’t surprise me if they are making the belts. As for plates, I’ve tried plenty and there are many nice plates. Strength Co is great, Rep Urethane Equalizers are nice and so many others. Nice video!! GGR is all about profit now so doesn’t surprise me to go after folks with the affiliate links.
I always think it is funny when you poke Coop, but I did like the ceiling mounted rings for a monkey bar setup he showed in gift list vid. Not that I'd do it since I just do monkey bars at a park while on a walk, run, or bike ride but I do like the idea. Coop liked Thomas DeLauer's rig set up for that and it is a creative cheap way to get that.
Yeah coop has some solid ideas and honestly I love his earlier videos. You can feel dudes passion for home gyms. Guess that's why I think it hurts me so much that he's doing the whole paid for play thing. But regardless coop is very very strong that's something I won't deny
Good video, thanks. About EliteFTS, I've been looking at their Deluxe Smith Machine (the smaller version of their two). One of the very few companies to use an actual REAL barbell on a Smith machine. They use the Texas Monster Squat bar. The Deluxe Smith machine is roughly $4K with shipping, so there's that. Anyway - thanks again for these Saturday morning videos.
Dave Tate at EliteFTS is focused on providing quality products. It appears he grows his company slowly, while avoiding chasing every want of every potential customer. It's a tough business. He does try to provide more focus on the consumable-type weight training products - better cash flow. @@NoFate247
I don't mind grunting in a gym but just doesn't seem right when watching the video. But that's just my hot take, his videos are great regardless. I second the more space argument for sure
Love your week in reviews Jonathan! Those USA equalizers look sweeet, can't wait to see your garage gym tour when it is all set up and ready for Prime Time!
You killed it bro!!!!!! Honestly could see what was happening with GGR from a mile away. It got weird quick. REP continues to affirm my decision to build my gym around their PR5000. Beltfed Strength is an awesome company with awesome people (they offer free belts to those who need one but can’t afford one) who make an awesome belt. If REP did partner with them for the new belt, that is a solid move!
Thanks for being here and trust me I want GGR to go back to reviewing stuff he actually used and was a bit more upfront. I think it took Gluck nearly a year of calling him out for GGR to mention that the products they are reviewing they get free (but fail to mention when they get paid to do the reviews)
Yeah, I think this shows that companies who product stuff overseas can put out new products here in America and do both. People think of Rogue as USA made but much of their stuff isn't.
Comprehensive video. A lot of stuff covered. No punches pulled on GGR. Haha. Hold them to account! I really enjoyed those videos from BB. He has a really engaging style.
@@NoFate247 I did pick up on that.. it was rather primal. I wouldn’t be against some bangers playing in the background when it occurs. But hey, I’m not a content creator so I cast no judgement.
Great video! I just got a pair of 25s to test them out that came yesterday and they are awesome! Will be getting some 45s hopefully after the holidays if I can get some money off. LOL
How are the weight tolerances on the REP plates? Did you weigh them? I've often wondered if Griffin and REP are sourcing from the same manufacturer, as well as other retailers. A lot of their stuff looks pretty much identical with the exception of the branding plates.
@@NoFate247 since last November over a yr. But I wanted a Rep PR4000 with an Athena plate loaded but if I'm spending that much $ I want the color I wanted not just settle. But I'm happy especially since I'm getting the Dial Motion trolley systems for it.
@@NoFate247I think there might be some bias here. Ultimately GGR is running a business and that entails setting up a sales funnel. Not really any different than most internet businesses, and GGR does provide a valuable service by reviewing a ton of different products. Hopefully anyone who’s spending their hard earned money on expensive equipment does their research and looks to multiple sources for it, but that doesn’t mean GGR shouldn’t be one of them.
GGR has been going downhill since they basically went corporate style. The main channel is the only one worth watching and even then some of it is a bit iffy.
What's your take on these Rep Fitness Equalizer USA MADE Weight Plates?
