It just comes down to your straining training style and personal preference really

Curious if you find them easy to pick up with 1 hand with their bigger lips? I have Rogue USA Olympic which are 0.35" smaller but they have thinnest most worthless lip you could imagine my grip can hold them for a few seconds so have to use two hands to move them.
Rep’s new equalizer plates look very nice and very well made. I’ve just not been a fan of the equalizer design, despite how functional they are. It’s nice to see your review of them though. Keeping in mind I’ve never seen or used any of the three, I’d buy the Strength Co plates and hope to fit my gym with them someday. Grant has perfected the iron plate IMO.
Thanks for the review! My only question with the Rep plates is how the coating will hold up. I had some of their old equalizers and the paint chipped off by looking at them…Anyway for now I’m sticking to my Rogue bumpers but I agree these new Rep plates look awesome.

I used to be the one of those that would say "weight is weight"; until I got my Rogue Deep Dish plates. I had been using my basic Standard weight plates from the 90s and they got the job done, but I just feel more connected to the bar and movements with my deep dishes. Maybe it's just in my head? I dunno. The old Standard plates are used on my leg machines- that's where "weight is weight". While the new Rep plates are sexy, I still prefer my deep dishes. They still trigger my nostalgia from reading the old bodybuilding magazines as a kid and working out in the dungeon gyms. For alot off people, the deep dishes aren't their cup of tea for many reasons, which that .16 difference could be easily overlooked.
