- Overview review of the USGI Molle II Bandoleer Ammunition Pouch. I’m using this as a multi purpose pouch for Magazines and organization in my pack, depending on what I’m doing. Inexpensive and modular.

You can soak these bandoleers and other pouches with spacers and that will help fit polymer/Magpul P-mags, etc. The USMC did a video on it.
Multicam and multi-can! Its a winner all around! I also have some surplus mag holders that won't snap with a P-mag. I just tuck the flap into the pocket, and insert the mag. It fits well enough where the mag won't fall out with typical use. Great video, keep up the good work!

We get issued these with our riflemans set and I can confidently say I’ve never used this. Not once. I literally found this video googling why was I issued a MOLLE Bandolier. These are so dumb and I hate that I got issued this.

You'll never touch it except in a heavy firefight, then it's pretty handy.
it closes with one pmag and one aluminum in same pouch
you can fit two pmags in if you have the one on the outside facing up. It's tight but it fits.
Pmags are just slightly larger at the base. That’s why they won’t close. The bandoleers are nice because you can put so much in it.

Theyve been in use for years and have been authorized, just not as standard issue, outside of the USMC with gen 3's (last I checked, instead of using the EPM). Hell they even have an NSN in federal logistics.
So yes they have been and you can legally use them, you have to pay out of pocket. Ive competed in MAC regionals with mine if you want ancedotal evidence.
Protip: avoid absolutes when discussing firearms or military organizations. I've seen some wierd as shit such as M16A2s with A4 rails & 18" barrels (or we assume is 18" because my A4 had around a 2" longer barrel with the receivers lined up) and aimpoints mounted on the forend rails.
Youd be surprised by the varience of shit you can find even in a hihly regulated military such as the U.S. has.

Can drape it over your neck as a chest rig or adjust to to ride on top of your chest rig/plate carrier to extend mag capacity.

You don’t want to be finger fucking the pouch made to hold rifle mags hunting for individual shotgun shells. Go with an elastic/ nylon bandolier meant for carrying the shotgun ammo.
