    Ich schwebe in anderen Welten....anderen Regionen! Das war die Band....das war die Musik nach der wir als 18-jährige abgehottet haben. Erste Liebe....erster Liebeskummer...wow....und trotzdem möchte man diese Zeit nicht missen. Dieser Titel der Herman's Hermits schleicht sich in mein Herz und löst wunderbare Emotionen aus. Danke für das Einstellen! Es war eine wunderbare Musikära damals!

    One of the most perfect records ever made! It's always a real pleasure to see the late, great Derek Leckenby (lead guitar) again. Tragically, he passed away in 1994, after three decades with the band. He is greatly, greatly missed.

      MikeBlitzMag why wasn't thus a hit in America 😡

    • @MikeBlitzMag
      @MikeBlitzMag 3 года назад +6

      @@raymondbonington9355 Because by that time, their U.S. label (MGM) was directing the bulk of its attention towards the Cowsills and Hank Williams Junior. Not long after that, they signed Michael Parks, Solomon Burke, Sammy Davis Junior, Wayne Newton and Lou Rawls, and their earlier artists (Herman's Hermits, Sam The Sham And The Pharaohs, the Animals, etc.) were pretty much left to fend for themselves. But Herman's Hermits included Something's Happening in their live set regularly throughout the 1970s. Saw them live about two dozen times throughout that decade. They never disappointed.

    Definitely my most favorite Herman’s Hermits song. The title seems to be wrong - it is not “Something’s” but “Something Is” which is the way Peter sings it. Released on February 15, 1969, reaching # 130 on March 11, 1969. Sadly, it peaked at #130 - certainly Top 10 material. Certainly a magical time and a gentler, kinder world then. Thanks for the memories of 1969. Just took out my MGM 45 and gave it a whirl.
