Whoever designed the bigfoot for this movie really did a good job; the bigfoot is unnerving to look at because it is almost in the 'uncanny valley' range. It looks vaguely familar humanwise but there are enough differences to throw you off and make you a little uncomfortable.
I think thats why this bigfoot scared me so much as a kid and has remained in my memory for years.

    Fun Fact:
There was an unmade monster film
    from Universal Pictures called
    *"Abominable"* back in the mid-1990s.
It was written by Troy Neighbors &
    Steven Fienberg, with Moshe Diamant
as the producer, either Peter Hyams
or Renny Harlin as the director, and
Jean Claude Van Damme was to star
    in the lead role.
The story was set in Tibet, where
a U.N. task force investigates the
    mysterious disappearance of Red
    Cross workers in the Himalayas
    before Van Damme's character
    eventually goes face-to-face with the
    monstrous Abominable Snowman.

Really? I am very sad we never got that movie then. That's up there with the planned At the Mountains of Madness adaptation we never got, which was going to star Tom Cruise. but the studio's condition was it be PG-13 which is preposterous.

      @@GiantBoarMonster
I hate it when that happens.
I mean, just look at the infamous
      2005 werewolf film by horror
      legend Wes Craven: *"CURSED"!*
That was meant to be a R-rated
      werewolf film. But the Weinsteins
not only ordered a rework on the
      film while they're 90% complete
with the original cut (all that was
missing were the CGI, film score,
and the ending which was set in
      a wax museum) before replacing
most of the original cast and
      Rick Baker's werewolf effects with
new actors & new FXs by KNB
EFX; but they also ordered for
a new ending (despite the version
of the ending they had filmed
      getting a positive reception from
      test audiences) and the complete
uncut version of the film getting
      re-edited in post-production;
      replacing most of KNB's practical
FXs with CGI and then trimmed
the violence & gore in order to get a PG-13 rating.

You can't typecast Paul Gleason. He was in a lot more than just The Breakfast Club. With 152 credits on IMDb, he was in all genres of movies and television. Paul's big screen highlights include Trading Places and a little indie project, Die Hard. His television roles are too long and varied to attempt to list. Did he often play cops or deans? Yes, but there were also priests, doctors and even abusive parents.
On a personal note, my mom went to high school with Paul. She remembered him as a good-natured prankster. She got a kick whenever we found another one of his roles to watch. When she encountered him years later at reunions, he was as jovial as ever.

And this was one of the films I watched where it still stuck with me for years and like everyone else who was probably still in elementary school when the film came out(meaning they were younger like 6 or 9 like I was)I don’t know how it didn’t scare me
Either the kills or girls is why I still remember it

2:40 The anti dog fog rolled in off the… How do you spell “mores” moors? Or is that more of a cow thing?
The point is, the fog took the dog, and this is now a Dr.Sues story.
The fog took the dog, in front of the frog as the Big Foot ran back or was that jogged? Moving so fast back home to the bog, Sassy ran right through the fog, noticing the mist eating a dog!
You can’t do that! Not here in this bog, now you spit it out, don’t eat the dog.
As he spoke, there sat the frog, who had seen the dog eating the dog.
I saw it right there as I sat atop that log, the treacherous mist devoured the dog. Do it now, tell the Big Foot, Fog!
The fog hung thick, over and under the log.
Make your peace, I ate that dog! Came a thundering voice, shaking the bog.
Sasquatch stared, and the angry frog glared. Why would you eat the dog, playing with friends, just as special as Frog?
    I hate children’s books.

Brandon, you know damn well there ismno such thing as a gratuitous shawer scene. All shower scenes are absolutely vital to the story of every movie you see them in. If anything, there needs to be 4x as many shower scenes per movie.

This opening reminds me of "Silent Rage", featuring Chuck Norris.
The first scene flows from the credits into like a 4 minute scene taken in a single take. Showing you a lot about the killer.
Then the first cut is on Chuck and the movie goes RiffTrax material from there.
    Obligatory "LANCE!" for this movie.

A group of LEOs and all the eyes lighting up around them. Just the eyes and their silhouettes in the dark, and the idea that even though there's a group of ARMED LEOs doesn't mean squat against what they're facing. And then the cut to black.
I think it's a really great ending actually.
