Agreed! Ever since I heard their album "Animosity", I was hooked. Also, as another drummer myself, Morgan Rose deserves a lot more recognition!! He is one hell of a drummer!!
He is in similar to Corey Glover, David Lee Roth, and the vocalist for Fishbone,in the sense he has a R&B/Soul sound as a singer. Not the typical screaming/yelling vocals that are in metal.
Never underestimate how important a great drummer is to live performances. A drummer on time and in the pocket can make up for a lot of mistakes elsewhere in a song or a mix. Morgan Rose is a monster. And his backup vocals are 🤌🏼
lajon is the best metal singer i have ever heard. i'm more of a thrash guy myself and don't care much for nu-metal, but sevendust are amazing. lajon's voice is so powerful.
The power coming out of that second chorus is incredible! It's like LJ produces his own reverb within himself. Also, Morgan's screams have such a unique sound. They just puts the icing on the cake.
I forgot how low Vinnie used to have his bass...almost hitting the ground when he bent over.. look how long that fkn strap is!!! lol They always sound amazing and have such killer stage presence.

Remember my brother and his best friend showing me this in the house I grew up in. Now 30 y/o this is still one of my fav live performances and fond memories of my childhood. Edit: Fav part as a kid and still to this day is when Morgan hits his two pads at the breakdown 1:31
Sevendust is superior amongst new bands, every member of the band is underrated they have always been such an amazing band together. They have been my favorite band since 1997
Best live show I've seen. I'm kind of glad they never blew up, because you can still catch them is a small venue. They are Monsters of Rock as far as I'm concerned though and should be playing arenas.
They did blow up. They were just underrated for their time period and even now. I've opened for these dudes with my band like four years ago and they were so nice to us. Especially with us never really playing with bands like them, Korn, Godsmack, etc. Also Head from Korn asked for our cd and said he loves our music. It was just unreal because I love his bands music and have looked up to them since before I played music. We play heavier music then what he plays in his band and he said he loved it and would like to see us come out with them again. He also took a picture with me and gave me a long sleeve Korn Tee shirt.
This performance right here is peak 7D and I’d put them toe to toe with anyone, ever. Lajon’s voice is one of the top voices ever, and these guys f#%*ing own. This is also their best song imo.
Maybe ? one of the most underrated ?bro i found this band with the seasons album and i was totally hooked every song a killer tune ! ive been a fan ever since for real !
Will say..this is the band I've seen like 12 times..pretty much every time is the shit..they are so awesome to see live..my last time seeing them was at the house of blues in boston..what a damn show!!🤘
Or if you were lucky enough to hear them on the radio once in Australia in 1999 and made it your life’s work since then to listen to every single they ever put out since then.

Wow. One of the better live performances I have seen. Big points for a drummer that can sing. They definitely have their own sound/thing. Great energy. Great talent. Good to see people still rocking. I’m surprised this isn’t banned for triggering people.
This is the song that got me into these guys....heard them playing across the river fron the flats in Cleveland ohio at a reataurant we were having dinner at in 2001.
What a performance Vocalist is powerful Nice crunchy guitar tone And you’d be hard pressed to find a more cutting edge and delivering drummer than Morgan

As a metal musician, it is CRIMINAL that Sevendust hasn’t been more recognized throughout the scene. This band walked so that many others could run.
Conan is the king of late night. The amount of sick ass bands he's had on the show over the years is astounding.
LJ is such a damn good singer
Damn shame you don't hear about these guys and him more. Dude has the sickest voice out there, and not just in metal. He's a monster

damn right
I believe he was voted #35/100 best metal vocalist of all time. I cant remember if that number is accurate, but he is definitely way up there.
He’s on tune live which is hard but not for LJ. Badass!!!
The way Morgan plays the drums... My favorite drummer

Love his intensity
His fills & energy are ridiculous..love it..

How low you want your strap?
Guitarist: yes
Bass guitars are almost always low. It makes it easier to reach the full range of the neck since they are so much longer than regular guitars.
@Unholy Zacky well technically it’s a bass guitar so you could still say that I guess
