This was a sort of last minute feature film, so I didn't have my polarizer or a structure on how I was going to film this. So I apologize for it not being 100%! Awesomebro6 why would they? It’s not a real 1m and literally all of this can be done for less than 55k including which includes a nice 135i as the base car, a low mileage s65 and transmission with a full rebuild..... I’m somewhat of a "bmw collector" And I gagged at that ridiculous number!

Beautiful car and beautifully done, although 180k asking price seems a bit high. I feel I could buy a genuine 1m, and do the swap and still be under that asking price by 60k+. Nonetheless, beautiful build and hopefully someone will buy and love it.
I don't expect anyone will pay $180k but if they do they're a fool with too much money.

Cool! But @ 180k there's alot of high-end cars out there to consider. Love the fact that it looks factory, but would be a little worried, how its going to effect the comparability of the this 1m.
He didn't mention what it takes to change the spark plugs though :D
The S65 isn’t that much bigger than the N52, such a cool swap and I love that the car was originally a 128i, as I drive a 125i (the UK equivalent, sane engine) cabrio. Makes me want to do some work to mine, haven’t seen much with the cabrio, and always wish they made a 1M/M2 cab. They make one for all the bigger M coupes.
I just watched the Larry Chen video with this exact same 1M S65 swap. I’m not a BMW fan, but this one, E46 M3s, M2s, the E9x 3 series coupes and M3s definitely catch my attention.
The perfect swap would probably be a 1M or M2 Comp with an S85 V10. But this is easily the second best!
Both are such legendary engines, and pieces of technological masterpieces of art.

This a dope swap! I like the e46 m3 with the v10/or the v8 swap.. both of these cars are almost identical when the comes to performance. The 1M is nice but will the v10 fit also 😁

Great chassis, even not being a true 1M. The msport 128 is one of the best handling and confidence inspiring cars I've ever had, rx8 series II being second. Would love to drive that thing and slide thru a corner. What's the curb weight now?

Interested in the exhaust setup on this car. I have the first one of these built by quarry motors and the exhaust does not sound the same.

Impressive but there is also a hatchback 1 series with supercharged s85 v10 in it.
If you replace the quarter panels with 1m panels that means you need to cut them to fit them. Thats not factory, it is like a repair job.
Cool project but, performance wise, it’s not that significant an improvement over e92 because the weight savings is not as huge as one might expect. The 1M is already over 3400 lbs and this swap increases its weight, closer to e92. Difficult to rationalize the cost of this swap (even at $150K) when one considers the non-weight savings and the shorter wheelbase that makes the car ‘buzzy’ on long distances. Still a cool car tho👍

I'm wondering the same. The 1M weighs less than an e92 m3, but there's about 100lbs in the engine alone (V8 is heavier). the chassis itself is obviously shorter by a good 5 inches so some weight there. Personally thats the most appealing part to me as I constantly think the m3's wheelbase and trunk are both just a bit too long (chop 2" out of each). I suspect with the V8 and the sunroof in this car, you are not actually saving much weight over an e92 with a carbon roof, but again I've never seen a v8 conversion get weighed.
A stock 1M weighs 3350 lbs. an S65 weighs 15 lbs more than an N54 (445 lbs vs 430 lbs) so a 1M S65 should weigh around 3365. This one is based on a 135i with a sunroof so who knows. I am guessing around 3400 lbs.

JMC Cars N More that’s true. It’s enough torque to do Smokey burnouts and to do u dope pulls in the car. My uncle has an E39 bmw. That thing is soo fun. U just gotta turn DSC off, turn traction control off, and put it on sport mode, and that thing will spin in second gear and will rip like a dream. I also like the n54 if we’re talking 6 cyl engines.

Its not a 1M. Just like an E30 with some kit & body panels, isn't an M3.
J ai mon pote qui vient de revendre sont 123 d bie turbo pour la 220 d sincèrement je preferer la 123 mais il y avait pour 5mil euro de réparation sur la chaîne de distribution il venait de payer 3m500 d embrayage et quant il lui ont dit pour la chaîne il a preferer reprendre la 220 d stage 2 directement mais elle pousse pas autant que la 123 pareille juste stage 2 il avait 223 ch ça pousser fors je la regrette cette 123
