    First, I must state that at 52 years old and started playing guitar in 1988, I of course worshiped at the altar of EVH and RR. But, in my opinion, Jake E. Lee was the best guitarist Ozzy ever had. Of not, then at least I think nearly everyone could agree that Jake is the most underrated rock guitarist of all time. His work with Badlands is unparalleled.
    Great job here, Maciej. Incredible skill.

      I'm 53 and started playing in 85. Was riding my bike to a friend's and heard a dude and his buddy playing Bark At The Moon in his garage. One on guitar and one on drums. They went to my school. I was freaking out. Within 2 weeks I had my first Jackson and I was obsessed. Me and the garage guitar player became best friends and he moved me along at light speed vs learning on my own. This dude here is a freak to play like that. That's a whole other level. Jake has always been my #1 Ozzy gunslinger.

    • @gregwhaley4017
      @gregwhaley4017 Год назад

      In my opinion, that title goes to RR, hands down. Especially since he left us way too soon and we’ll never know where his creative limits would’ve taken us. The brief, precise and melodic music he left us with was merely scratching the surface of what his destiny should’ve been. While I respect your opinion, we’ll have to agree to disagree on this. I am a fan of Jake, for sure, but mostly of his time with Ozzy, although I did see Badlands live back in the day (iirc, at the time, Jake had a cast on his leg for some reason). It does seem to be unfortunate how Jake was apparently taken advantage of by Sharon and screwed out of writing credits and royalties.

    • @michaelmiglino6512
      @michaelmiglino6512 Год назад +3

      @@gregwhaley4017 the Rhythm and lead playing on “ Bark at the Moon” I feel was more intricate and original than both the albums that featured Randy Rhoads.
      Some of Jake’s technics used on the two albums he played on I feel were tremendously underrated.
      Randy borrowed much more than Jake did in his playing.
      The beginning of “Diary of a madman “was directly out of an ancient classical composition.
      The tapping part from “ Flying High Again” was taken from a lick George Lynch showed Randy way back when.
      The Ending part of Mr Crowley was taken from “ Parisienne Walkways”.
      Randy’s playing will always be legendary, but I felt Jake’s playing had more confidence and fire.

    • @livingbeing1113
      @livingbeing1113 Год назад

      @@michaelmiglino6512 The beginning of Diary is a slightly changed rip-off from Leo Brouwer Etude 6. Nothing wrong with that of course, that's what we call "being inspired", happens in music all the time.
      But from what i know Brouwer himself heard it and wanted to sue Randy and the Osbournes, but of course decided to leave it alone when Rhoads passed.

    I remember watching the video for bark at the moon. It was a trip when I found out that Ozzy requested to literally be put in the coffen himself, all closed up in it for the video! I instantly knew what genre I would be looking for when selecting music from the store lol. I guess I was a wise soul or just a differnt kind of kid, probaly the latter ...but I quickly gained respect and appreciation for his so called madness as he would crack me up watching him on Mtv back in the day. At 5 most of my friends wanted me to listen to new kids on the rock, or block IDK... they where on something! Anyway, Ozzy helped me to be myself unappoligeticly and along with other bands that followed sparked my creativity to compose music on guitar forming my own band at one point. We broke up a long time ago but I still play guitar and upload songs. Its been almost 2 years since I uploaded, I lost my creative mojo if thats even a thing. I'm trying to play more these days so I can hopefully create something and continue putting out more music. Anyway, God bless Ozzy! and thank you fellow guitarist and youtuber for all the diligent hard work you put into covering all of these solos with accuracy and flare!! I am now subscribed man. Rock on and take care.

    Wow. Watching you wants me to pick up my guitar.... And sell it.
    I'm 51 and these are the best covers I've ever seen. Jake was a superb guitarist very under rated in my mind his albums were the best ozzy did and I'm a life long Randy fan. Superb playing Sir and an Inspiration to us all. Well done!

    100% correct and played fantastically! My favourite Ozzy axeman and my fave ozzy album. Well done - you really captured Jake's very physical attack of the strings. Great tone too. That piece of hair though - fucked up my OCD arrggghhh!

    My second favorite guitarist Ozzy ever had. There was King Randy and then Jake. Jake had such huge shoes to fill and stepped right in. Two of the greatest guitarist ever. I like Eddie but after 4 albums he never changed his sound or style. To were Randy grew from the first album to the second. Same with Jake. On those Badlands albums Jake was a totally different player.

    That was absolutely incredible. Bends, vibrato were just absolutely perfect, as well as everything else. Jake, as far as i'm concerned is simply the best, very unique, and i think he would really get a big kick out of hearing this. Take care, good luck and keep pushing it to the max.

    Just found this ! Subscribed ! Bang on ! super playing Maciej, I'm 52 & remember buying this album when I was in school & the Bark at the moon solo was so incredible to me, pure air guitar heaven ! One up the B side is a rocking track was glad the song was added to the remastered release, Jake's lead work on Rock n roll rebel still has me pulling those Gary Moore type faces, hahaha !!! As a guitar player myself I really enjoyed this mate, once again excellent playing brother. Cheers

    Simply incredible, I was always a Randy guy and after hearing this I may have overlooked the Jake years ,tho we used to cover shot in the dark and rebel Randy cast such a tall shadow i never spent the time listening to Jake as much imo, I need to go back and and appreciate those two album's more. Thanks for delivering such an amazing rendition of his playing, spot on. Maybe,probably even better than I remember 🏆

    That 1st solo just blew my mind Meciej! I closed my eyes and saw Jake ripping it live. Are you sure your not in some huge Metal band and using this name as alias?? Just kidding brother. You definitely have Heavens Gift of Music. I will definitely come and see your performance when you come to the United States. Make sure you tour stops in California and play at the LA. Colosseum. Your gonna need a big place like that for all your fans to fit. God bless my friend and keep on fighting the good fight..
