Jake was the PERFECT replacement for Randy. He was able to pull off all of Randy with his own style and still kick ass with feel. He is SO underrated and was not given the respect he certainly earned. I think he was every bit as much a part of the amazing Ozzy years as Randy was. He held that torch up high man, and really made it his own while still respecting the fact that he replaced and filled the shoes of someone very special. IN the end, Jake E Lee is also a very special guitarist of our time and deserves alot more praise than he gets.
Not to mention he wrote the songs. I love Ozzy, but somehow Ozzy always get credit for the songs that his guitar players write. Ozzy doesn't even usually write the words either. He's the figurehead. Iommi, Rhoads, Lee, Wylde,.. Ozzy has been blessed with so many guitarists who not only were incredible guitar players but great songwriters as well. And sadly according to reports and interviews Sharon seems to find a way to screw them all over.
If only Ozzy and (more importantly) Sharon had appreciated him like we all do. It's no secret now that Sharon was pretty dirty in her dealings with most people. She and Ozzy had a strange relationship. Similar to Ronnie James Dio and his wife. It's not really a good idea to have a woman (especially your wife) manage your band, if these two are any barometer.
Thank you for expressing opinion without dissing his other guitarists. More ppl like you are needed on the net. I love jake. Perfect combo of shred and blues like badlands
I still remember the summer day back in 1986 at the age of 12 when my brother woke me up. He brought in a boom box and told me to just listen, then he hit play and the tape began playing. This album and Jake’s playing changed my life forever. I still get the goosebumps hearing anything off this album to this day. Such a powerful album.
One thing that I can appreciate is being able to watch this being played in real time, up close and you know it's incredibly hard to recreate and it's spot on
Jake E Lee is right up there with my fave George Lynch. It wasn't all about shredding for those guys, thier solo compositions and Rythm playing were off the chart in the 80s....that coupled with thier very unique playing styles always had me hooked...and you absolutely nailed Jakes... 👌
your dedication is something to be admired... most, if not all, players will "half ass" their way through the solos like these just to get through the songs at a show. Me included. Don't stop that relationship with that piece of wood..... just my 2 cents.
There are people who are simply addicted to playing for hours until they are able to perfectly execute the song. So sometimes it's not even dedication, it's more of an addiction lol. Both Randy and Jake were incredible musicians.

I think Jake's guitar work on this album was so much better than on Bark at Moon to bad Ozzy hates the way this album was mixed. Great job on guitar bud.
This is a great album. His tone is thick and clean at the same time. The riffs are heavy and the solos are fast, rich, and awesome! Jake E. Lee is one of the best. Great job!
That was so fucking good! You totally nailed it! Jake was Ozzy's best guitarist imo....I know it's popular to love Randy, but Jake was so unique....his rhythm playing was top notch, and his solos were absolutely incredible...I'd argue right there w EVH....Just an absolute genius on guitar.
Absolutely amazing bro!! Loved the fact that you not only killed the parts, but proved that tone 100% comes from your fingers and soul. Kudos for playing these on sub $1k guitars💜🔥
Absolutely amazing! You nailed it completely, and showcased what made Jake unique: the perfect timing and phrasing, the unique note-stacking and sequencing he brought from his piano days, and the blistering speed and precision. Well done. I've been playing 40 years and that stuff is still waay out there for me.
Musically this may be Ozzy’s best solo record but damn did they drop the ball on the tone. Jake’s brilliant ideas “ultimately” surpass the sound but this could have been a serious opus for Ozzy if they had also done a better sounding record. Dude, you crushed this. Really got his vibrato down.
Jake’s compositions on this album are some of the best guitar playing of the entire 80s

Well done sir 🫡
Fuck thats beautiful my man!!!!
I think Jake's guitar work on this album was so much better than on Bark at Moon to bad Ozzy hates the way this album was mixed. Great job on guitar bud.
It's great seeing you play with so much emotion, most folks covering just play like robots. I can really fell the solos, nice work!
Beautify played 🎸💥💯⚡❤️🔥💪
Very talented 6 stringer!!👏👏👏 very tight! and the tone is beautiful.
This is a great album. His tone is thick and clean at the same time. The riffs are heavy and the solos are fast, rich, and awesome! Jake E. Lee is one of the best. Great job!
Thank you so much!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much!!!
Just amazing to see up close how creative Jake E. Lee guitar solos are!! Just awesome, thank you for posting this, your guitar playing is great.
Thank you so much!!! 🔥😄🫶🏻
Holy smoke that was fantastic buddy.....😊
Thank you very much!!!
Absolutely amazing bro!! Loved the fact that you not only killed the parts, but proved that tone 100% comes from your fingers and soul. Kudos for playing these on sub $1k guitars💜🔥
Thank you very much!!! 🔥🔥🔥
My friend this was AWESOME. Great work. Jake E. Lee is an amazing guitsrist.
True Talent! Bro I cant stop listening🔥
Thank you so much Krystian, I hope that you drank a lot of Żubr today!!!
Thank you so much!!! 🔥🫶🏻😄
Great work on these solos! Jake's guitars are why this is my favorite Ozzy album!
