Cameron, can you please give a tutorial on the licks on “A Little Ain’t Enough- DLR”. The part that I’m wanting to see is the last sweep pick or arpeggio at the end of the song. I’m like Evh and countless other ‘80’s guitar players that “don’t” play sweep picking or arpeggios. I think Jason Becker(the fighter), Yngwie and Vai were the only ones that played this style when I grew up. Thank you, Brian
Though this video is 4 years or so old, I have to say, I love how you played the bridge piece before the main solo in Bark at the Moon!!! Damn that’s just killer AND another piece I never could decide on where to execute the harmonics, which you did perfectly, is that little rolling pull-off fill from Journey to the Center of Eternity!!! EXCELLENT VIDEO!!! Thank you for making and sharing it with us!!!
Great Riffs indeed. Jake E.Lee is so under-appreciated in my opinion. his riffs and solos, especially the solo in the song killer of giants, are just amazing. Great video Cam
Jake way underrated. IMO the best guitarist Ozzy has had. What makes him so unique, is his exceptional rhythm playing which alot of 80s players seem to be lacking. His left hand vibrato is so amazing, and his lead playing is not just the standard boring scales over and over....He has so much feel in his lead playing whereas alot og 80s players play lead like a typewriter.....fast and boring.
Jake is so original didn't have to copy anybody, so inspiring, I've never heard guitar music absolutely begging for vocals his guitar alone tells a story, great video young man I'm an old man so disappointed with young people these days you however are impressive and have inspired me to pull Les out the closet thank you
Saw Jake on the tour with Ozzy in '83 and on the Bark at the Moon tour in '84. Impressive. Jake is still one of my favorite players. His work in Badlands is just as good. You pulled off those riffs very nicely. Keep it up, I love to see people who can play like this and give me a chnace to see the licks close up.
I saw that tour as well. It was my second concert ever, first being Piece of Mind. Motley opening, Ozzy dragging Jake around by his hair. Amazing show.
Nice! I remember buying this album when it came out in 1983. I was a young lad and had just picked up my first guitar (My friends and I were so enamored with Ozzy we used to write OZZY on our knuckles with a sharpie pen LOL). It would take me several years before tackling the song BATM, but it still resonates as one of Jake's finest moments. Rock on!
Heck Yes! Walking into the record store and seeing this cover on the end cap! I saw this tour with Motley opening up. (I to this day can not believe my parents said yes and just dropped off 4 thirteen years old kids at an Ozzy show) Tickets we're $12.75!!! Anyway, this guy plays great and from what I've heard on YT, you are no slouch either... lol
Just want to say I have followed you for years..thank you for your lessons (especially Stone in Love and Wait). Love that you are collecting guitars now..but I miss you PRS CE24
Wow this is by far my favourite video of yours! Fantastic playing. Love hearing these awesome Jake E Lee riffs. That pink Charvel looks like it's going to melt my screen, so rad!
That is one filthy fretboard! LOVE this album! You do it justice, sir!!Thanks so much for generously sharing!! Really inspiring! One of the things I love about Jake is, he plays what I describe as ‘expansive, broad-sounding chordings.
As always- very inspiring video!!!! I love how you nail every nuance of Jake’s amazing and unique style. Jake was so ahead of his time. You instantly took me back to the golden age of 1983!!!!
Dang dude! You freaking nail these riffs and solo's. I first heard Crazy Train and learned about Randy, from my cousin and a friend. I was already playing and was tripping on Eddie Van Halen. Then I kept listening to Randy with Oz,and it was good stuff. Then I checked out Toni and Oz and Black Sabbath. I started learning Sabbath Tunes. Then of course Randy passed, and it was Brad Gillis. I lost interest until I learned about Jake. Gave him a listen, and was blown away. He wrote great riffs and solos, and did great with Randys work. But there was just something about his playing. Still listen today. Dude, you really should do lessons on these songs.
Really appreciate the Jake E. Lee riffage, Cameron! Jake always tended to move so much on stage that it made it almost impossible to see what he was doing. So thanks for the close-up video. I like playing "Shot in the Dark" and "Killer of Giants"... two of my favorites.
Dude, Fkn hell yeah...It was a treat to hear these riffs again. All so very nostalgic and like you Jake started my playing as Bark was my very first casette I bought along with a walkman from my first paycheck from my first job. Within a month I put money down on a Teisco Del Rey strat and the rest is legend. Thank you again..Be blessed my friend..
It's clear you put a lot of love and effort into faithfully reproducing the tone and playing of these riffs and licks. Very nice to hear them without anything else going on (bass, drums, vocals). Really good audio quality to the video itself, and love seeing the Charvels in action. Great job all around.
Cam, thank you much bruv for being one of the only people I've seen get the riffs in BaTM correct. Killer playing and that Yamaha thr10x is a killer, killer piece of hardware. Excellent job my friend!
CAMERON IM A MASSIVE JAKE FAN ,BUT MAN, You playing bark! just motivated me so much to learn what i thought is such a hard song, Jake is a literal genius idk how Ozzy got 3 of the best guitarists the scenes had seen!
@@CameronCooper Hello Mr. Cooper👊😃🎸! I'm an amateur guitarist and love Les Pauls and Strats. I admire your passion for the guitar. Although i'm not very technical, i hope someday get to your level. Cheers from Viamao City (RS State - Brazil). P. S.: how is your exercise routine to get speed and precision on playing?
Great video & Playing. I didn't get Bark at the Moon until 1986 (after I bought the ultimate sin )it's great that a younger person like you Likes Good music and Yes those Guitars are so Bright & Awesome looking
Great playing as always Cameron. You nailed it all, but the Rock&Roll Rebel was especially nice. I've seen many people play it wrong, but you really got it down. Thanks, your attention to detail is much appreciated.
Hell yea,,finally,Jake's riffs.I learned several of his many moons ago,,remember when we all used to have to buy guitar mags for the really cool shit..thanks brother...
Cam...you're like the only dude I know that loves Jake's playing as much as I do. I know there are tons of Jake fans out there but none of them live near me. Lol. Anyhow, great video here. I wish you could have put "Slow Down" on here. The chords Jake uses in the pre-chorus are epic on that song! Great video bro! 🤘😎🤘
stringbender11672 No, I love Jake more LOL. I wore out my Ultimate Ozzy VHS video in the 80s...pausing, rewinding, trying to figure his stuff out...I too love that Cam is a big Jake fan the same way we are. Nice job as always Cam. Will look forward to your Ultimate Sin video soon 😀😀
Blazing video and brilliant idea! Jake is also one of my fave all time players, great to see an up close spotlight on a few of his more memorable creations. I hope & look forward for more of these MFR (My Favourite Riffs) videos from you in the future. Keep killin' it!!! 🤘
Rock and Roll Rebel is a MONSTER of a song. Absolute masterpiece. That entire album is just a clinic on how guitar is supposed to be played. It’s a travesty how underrated Jake still is to this day!
I share your sentiment about Jake. He has always been my favorite Ozzy guitar player. People look at me like I have two heads but there is no way they have intensively listened to Bark at the Moon or Ultimate Sin. Rough for the guy coming in after Randy but as a kid wearing out Ozzy cassettes on my walkman in the 80's and being a freak about guitar his playing always just left me so stoked. good stuff and keep up the good work.
Jake is my favorite guitarist ever!! Nailed his riffs awesome would love to see a lesson in The style of Jake E Lee.. maybe already have one posted , Sorry if you already have just comment the link! Cheers great playing m8
Absolutely AWESOME Cameron! I'm also a huge Jake E. Lee fan and am just starting to learn Bark At The Moon today so wish me lots of luck! Your an amazing player and you just look to be having so much fun when playing inlike so many stone faced others that show no emotion or joy for their ability
Man ive seen people do covers and ur always way more accurate then most. Plus ur execution is aamazing. And yes Jake is a bad ass on guitar and so are you. Rawk on \m/
Very awesome dude.. I love Randy Rhoads but Jake E Lee was very unappreciated during his time with Ozzy I think that's time has went by people has realized how talented he really was. Bark at the Moon and the ultimate sin are two of Ozzy's best albums. Zakk Wylde is a good guitar player don't get me wrong but I think Jack E Lee is better.. is unorthodox style is what really made that album so great the little licks that he throws in our amazing. I'm sure you've seen the concert video the ultimate Ozzy was Jack E Lee spotlight solo.. his acoustic work is just amazing how he works all five fingers onto chords including his thumb is crazy very good job dude I love it when somebody appreciates a guitar player like you do and shares it with people I actually learn how to play The Bark at the Moon riff right by just watching you I was one note off. I've never took lessons and I never got into tabs as a kid I learned everything by ear and watching people when I first discovered RUclips in my 30s that's how old I was when it came out I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was actually pretty spot-on with a lot of songs I learned by ear.. 🤘🤘 You fuckin rock brother 🤘🤘

I personally really liked the video, not only are those songs great, but there aren't many lessons on how to play them, so seeing you playing them well allows me to learn them. just as a bonus i would really love it if you could consider doing a lesson on the acoustic intro of "digging me down" by Ozzy. i know you can play it spot on and would love if you could teach it like you taught feelin' and diary of a madman. Thanks!!
Great video Cam!! I like the format like this where you pick several tracks from the same album and jam them!! Would be cool to see some early Pantera from either Cowboys or Vulgar. I thought I recall you saying you never really got into them - well, it doesn't hurt to ask!! :) Thanks dude!
