My husband was in the Army and he is my hero. He fought for his Queen and Country and now suffers from Severe Chronic Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I find this song is a tribute to all soldiers of all conflicts fought by the British Armed Forces.
My dad left the army 3 years ago, after his 22 years. Grew up as a pad brat, 16 now and starting basic training for the royal marines this spring, can't wait.
Thanks for sharing, I hope the image at 01:28 is an inspiration to any who doubt the validity of the appeal the song is supporting. The sheer terror on the face of the guy at 01:01 sums up how our young men and women are in constant danger. They signed up to ensure our interests,and help fight injustice in other countries. People need to remember we don't choose to go to war, the government instruct it, but is still done with honour, pride and skill.

For all you people that hate and disrespect them i feel sorry for you because you obviously dont know what you have these heroes are out fighting for their country and have to see some vile sights like seeing best mates they have grown up with getting blown up and paralysed if they are lucky or worse killed these people are the best of the best and i am so proud of them.

Yeah Im In The ACF aswell...nearly finished now tho :(. Im capbadged to the Royal Irish Rangers, complete with Caubeen and everything. Hoping of joining the Royal Irish Regiment when i'm finished with the ACF. I think EVERY regiment/corps is doing an Immense job! I can't say that i hope no-one else will not be injured cus there will always be injuries i suppose.. God Bless Our Troops Faugh A Ballagh!

X factor is such a big programme now, and I think that using that to help raise awareness for others is brilliant. I agree, though, that the added publicity for x factor itself is probably not considered a bad thing by the chief execs!
I hope to get into the football buisness soon as I have potential but if I do I promise that I will give at least 1/4 of my wages to help for heroes, these people are ordinary like us but worked for us, as slaves to keep our country safe, now it's our turn to return that favour everybody raise as much as you can for these heroes. It IS publicity for the show, yes, but remember although they get that the RBL & HtH get the proceeds, I am a was Vet and it took the Navy over a year to sort out my pension and I was in hosp for a year before that too, & can't work now. During that time the RBL visited me, & my family AND paid my mortgage & Council Tax so I didn't end up homeless too, so any penny raised WILL go to good use. Thanks.
@cpnstav i couldn't agree with you more i think it a disgrace that they(gov) are still sending troops to there death without a chance to fight with the right equipment. yet as you said they (gov) can still get in a car to travel a couple of doors where is the justice in that.
love these ppl honest much respect for them to tell u the truth am goin to see about trying to re-join next friday use boys out there do a great job but most ppl do not respect what use do use risk life and limb to keep us happy and u get all these wee fa**ys on the other videos tht a slaggin us off.
Its sad that charities like this have to exist. Governments have no right sending our troops into harms way unless they are properly kitted out and the Government should look after all troops and their families including veterans. Thats the deal, if you expect people to go and die for you.

Or how about all the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan helping to build schools and giving out bottles of water and stationery to the kids? You make me sick.
