My mum is an ISFJ and this video is very accurate! She has a super calm vibe and she is very grounded. My ISFJ has an amazing long term memory bank....

ISFJ are sweethearts but can get easily taken advantage of.

Thank you for this! In high school 4 years ago I did the personality test and I was an INFP. I took the test recently 2 months ago and now I’m an ISFJ! Interesting to see how I have shifted.🤗

Thanks for the video. With regards to compatibility, I think that you're right about people sharing the same functions having an easier go at it on average. It's taken me a while to get there. I started with believing, just over a year ago, that a certain youtuber was right and that sharing the same function order, with the opposite attitude for each one, was somehow the highest compatibility. Now, I think socionics is probably right about it.
Anyways, I bickered at you about it on another video so I figured I'd just update my stance. Not to go on too long, but don't get me wrong, I know there's a lot else that goes into a relationship. I think that having compatible Enneagram instincts is important, and that Typevolution is probably right about that making or breaking a relationship. Then you have to factor in enneagram, and then potentially other things, and then environmental and other genetic factors. OMG. Why does it have to be so complicated? lol.

I'm very sorry, especially as a fan of this channel, but I don't think this is a very good encapsulation of the ISFJ personality type.
You fall into a lot of the traps that similar ISFJ videos fall into. You call them "traditional," "old fashioned," or "often religious." This makes ISFJs appear to be common simpletons, and in my case nothing could be further from the truth.
Yes I do tend to like routines, but that routine could also mean at 8 PM we start getting drunk...every night. I am also incredibly messy, and have difficulty with keeping my living environment clean. This is a pretty strong rebuke of the (wrong) idea that Si is a "neat freak" function.
Here's what Si REALLY is: Si is a function that processes lived experience and determines future action based on those past experiences. That's it! You can stop there infjinxed. If an Si user observes a very diligent and clean person to be a bland and boring person, the Si user may choose to not live a clean and diligent life. Do you understand? Just as if an Si user sees someone who abstains from alcohol as dull and boring, they will use their Si to NOT abstain from alcohol.
Videos like this perpetuate the myth that ISFJs are "squares," and not much fun to be around. Perhaps for some ISFJs this is true, but it isn't true of the entire type. I'm sure there are also some very boring INTPs and INFPs out there as well. But your videos on them don't make them look as boring as this video makes ISFJs look.
Your stuff on the Si Ti loop is pretty good, except you again reference traditionalism. I'm a huge film buff and music aficionado so my loop would tend to manifest as a snobby sense of, "you haven't watched/heard all the stuff I have so you have to prove your worth to me." Totally ISFJ, but its not like I'm preaching Christianity as your video implies.
It is obvious to me that you don't know very many ISFJs in your life. If you know any, they are probably older people who have settled down with families and kids. Please try to look beyond these stereotypes and recognize that ISFJs are not all traditionalists. Yes, we look to the past to find the future, but that doesn't mean ISFJs want to return to the 1950s.
ISFJs can be some of the most hedonistic party animals you will ever meet, and their ideas can be incredibly forward-thinking because they know what came before and understand what worked and what didn't.
They aren't trapped in the past.
Better research makes better videos. Please remember that next time.❤

Hi there! thank you for your feedback!
I agree with you - ISFJs are not boring or bland at all and my intention was definitely not to paint that picture of them! I love ISFJs, some of my best friends in real life are ISFJs and I have family members who are ISFJs as well.
This video is from 2 years ago and it was one of the first ones I have made - back then, I was trying to explain functions in a way that is easier to understand by people because I thought it might be helpful. Since then, however, I have changed my style to be more like the way I actually think about type and function. Hopefully, my newer videos about functions describe Si in a much better way!

      @@jimmyblaze4097 You too!
I am happy to know what my audience thinks - I am constantly trying to find a balance between just digging deep in the kinds of thoughts I have about type and functions and also being clear and concise.
Before starting my channel, I have done MBTI trainings in real life and I constantly received feedback that my explanations were too abstract - these first videos on my channel were aimed at being more "simple" if I can say that. However, as time passed by, I realized I want to be closer to who I really am and try to explain my REAL thoughts about type.
