I am INFP, which means my dominant function is Fi, but I have always been confused by what to do with this... I have difficulty really understanding or expressing my own emotions, so I can't explain them even though I do feel them in a very deep and object-overwriting manner which obviously becomes very apparent and sometimes annoying to others... Also, I am often and easily influenced by the emotions of others, yet at the same time I feel helpless in relating or helping them. When I try to give advice, I often feel like I'm projecting, causing more harm than good, which makes me quite shy and hesitant when it comes to emotional topics even though I feel like I would have a lot to say. I think Jung once commented on the fact Fi leads to people distancing themselves, and I understand how that happens, but I find it hard to see why, how I can use it, and what to do with it. The "freedom" of disconnecting from the object has been quite alienating and separating for me, causing more shame, loneliness and general sadness than actual felt freedom... Seems to be quite a negative function overall, or am I missing something? Would love some input by anyone who reads this. Much love, and thanks for the video ❤️

Interesting, thank you. I can see some victim and some rescuer in me. Not much persecutor, although I guess anyone could be all three at some point. I did find out second hand that I really offended someone deeply. I thought that I was just telling the truth in a less harsh way than that person would probably face when not around friends. On the other hand, I had a coworker tell me I was too nice to be a manager, another said he didn't agree but still I guess I must be more towards the victim and some rescuer and less the prosecutor most of the time. As a random aside, there was a customer the other day who I thought reminded me a little of you in her mannerisms or something. I heard her speak a foreign language and I thought that it might be Latin based, maybe Italian which is your native language, I think? Anyway, I was completely off. She said she was Iranian and was speaking Farsi! She then told me I was close with my guess, so I started telling her that really, I wasn't close at all, and the only real similarity is that they're both Indo-European languages. The silly thing is that I have studied Spanish a good amount and tried to learn Latin in the past. Ubi est Bill Button? Bill Button en RUclips est. Anyways, there is an Iranian who comes across a little like you I guess, haha.

Te is about getting goals and intentions from other people, then trying to find ways to achieve them with help of other people. Ti is about trying to find your own ways to achieve something. Fe is about collecting achievement-related emotions from other people (respect, admiration from others), then trying to find ways to achieve them with help of other people. Fi is about analyzing why you, or others, are having emotions. Se is about collecting sensory desires, then achieving them with help of other people. Si is about analyzing what are your sensory desires. Ne is about collecting experience with the environment, collaborating on achieving them. Ni is about literally experiencing or shaping environment. Building stuff, doing trips, making things.

As someone who prefers ISTP, this was very on point. We have Microsoft teams chat that through the course of the day, discussions pop up that do not involve me at best, or just a casual discussion that has nothing to do with work. I know this is key to promoting inclusion, but it simply irks me. I chose to demote after being named Director before the pandemic, because I detested the spontaneous meetings. It is the 2nd time I was approached about becoming a Director, and it has left me burnt out to where now I am tentative on seeking a job to where I can showcase my knowledge in my field Thank you INFJinxed!

As an INTJ after learning about MBTI I became a lot more aware that I'm terrible at brainstorming wildly and anything that has to do with Fe and Si cognitive functions. I don't think I use them except when consciously deciding to use them. Ni can kinda take some of the roles of Si as I think it can kinda vaguely tell what has changed from the past etc.

I test one point higher for Thinking than for Feeling. I identify as INxP, which many RUclipsrs insist is not possible. I like your explanation, but I identify so closely with both sides. I personally don't see that much of a difference, it's just different aspects of how I deal with things. A lot of times it's situational as to whether I do more thinking or feeling, but they're always both there and compliment each other.

Do the INTP personality type have moral principles or a moral conscience at all??? Because they are very logical and calculating, if something is logically more beneficial than various aspects, such as financial benefit, emotional benefit, or sexual benefit, etc., but they have to do something that is not ethical in the eyes of others, such as lying, cheating, etc.?? Usually?? Anyone can help.

11:30 are you saying it’s kinda like ENTPs are more stubborn in logical and factual truths, and a bit more wish washy and easily influenced by others when it comes to beliefs or morals, And ENFPs are more stubborn when it comes to beliefs and morals, but more wishy washy and easily influenced by what people say is logically sound, accurate, or factual? Cause that would make pretty good sense to me being an ENTP 😂

Thank you for this video, I watch it whenever I need to connect with myself. As a Fe ego type I find it conceptually confusing to distinguish the concept of self with the function of Fi. On one hand people often associate knowing yourself with understand your own feelings which has to do with Fi but on the other hand we know that the Ego is our self identity, which for me revolves around Fe , which is related to external feelings and society.

Realists tend to accept the complexities of life, including the existence of negative experiences such as bullying or unfair treatment. They are more likely to view these challenges as part of life, allowing them to move on and focus on practical solutions. Their approach to adversity is often grounded in a sense of pragmatism, enabling them to recognize that while bad things happen, they can learn and grow from these experiences. Idealists, on the other hand, may have a more emotional response to such experiences. They might view bullying or being hurt as significant injustices and could feel a strong sense of unfairness. Idealists are often guided by their values and beliefs about how the world should be, which can lead to feelings of disappointment when reality doesn’t align with their ideals. This mindset might result in them dwelling on negative experiences more than realists do, possibly leading to feelings of self-pity or a desire for a more compassionate world.
