'" I feel like it's an honour if an ISFJ wants to be your friend..because they really thought it through before deciding.. they dont let people in that much. " That describes me perfectly :O
I am an ISFJ and I am friendly to everyone, it is the single virtue I 100% live by, but I am close with only a select few people. Really just three if I am honest. It takes a really long time for me to trust that my feelings and my inner world and goofiness (awkwardness) will be safe with someone, that I just don't let a lot of people in. It kinda makes me sad to say that out loud, but yeah, it's kinda a security thing. I will be kind, I will even care, sometimes very deeply, but it takes a lot for me to fully let someone in. And even then, it takes even longer for me to fully divest my inner self to them.
@@infpmadness Oh dear, same. I'm called a lot as their friend and although I do recognize most of them as friends I only have 3 whom I am extremely close with and am comfortable showing sides of me a lot doesn't know or comfortable with doing new things despite my rigidness.
An ISFJ does not speak out on something often. But whenever that occurs, it is 100% thought through thoroughly. And they will stand by their words. This is true for every ISFJ in my life =)
@Someone Random - this is generally true - I've (INFJ) viewed and worked with several ISFJ's. Be aware that even ISFJ's can be blind to things about themselves and some can be hypocritical without realising it. For example, I worked with a ISFJ that was had hurt feelings in his childhood by public expression/discussion of political/group values; even though he hates this from his past, he would put on political spins in our community to uphold the values that he holds but have never been fairly discussed by the community. His passive -aggressive action held the community back from open and fair discussion and decision making of the community and I viewed it as a nihilistic rejection of group values that he did not personally hold. Instead of healthy discussion with others with good-will (win-win/growth-growth), he would become noticably huffy (buried anger) when he did not agree with others - he had trouble talking his anger and point of view over with others.
@@k.c.sunshine1934 that sounds less like a generalized ISFJ but more of someone that had experience server trauma during their childhood and need a psychologist or counselor to help them through. @Someone Random was referring to ISFJ in general, those that don't have the experiences that is affecting the person you know.
I am an ISFJ , thank you for the video it really says a lot to my Fellow ISFJ Companions: Learn how to speak up your mind , you can see the big picture , you can read people , you have all the skills in the world to do whatever you want to do and make this World a better place , just LEARN HOW TO SPEAK UP and believe me you will see a Phenomenal change in your life , I learned that through Self Improvement and I'm here to help anyone of you who is willing to make a change. thank you
I find it tremendously difficult to speak up my mind. In my mind, I have the right comments to tell, I know what I want to say but then the reality hits and it is really difficult to actually say what is needed to be said. But when I somehow manage that, it's a great feeling.
I am an ISFJ and the reason we are so aware of what we can handle is because we don't want to be in a position to not perform well or have to cancel something we committed to. If we are not "doing" we are prepping "to do". Strangely some of us are serious procrastinators too but we hide it well Lol We steal time and then have to scramble.
As a person who grew up observing the isfj ,I dare say they are the most complex people you could ever meet ,on the surface they seem distant and unassuming but always nice no matter what happens they always keep a pleasant exterior . To people who do not know them that well it seems fake but you see it's not fake it's so real ,isfjs value being nice to people above any thing else ,for example my sister has to always remind me to say thank you to the guy at the store or to smile at someone when they look at you even if you don't know them. The other side to the isfj is what I find interesting, they know every thing about every body but they will never use their knowledge unless you really pushed them .for example if someone lies to them they will find out because they remember every thing you say to them but they won't call you out like an istj might (my dad is an istj and he just can't stand being lied to) they will give you the chance to correct yourself without judging you but if you don't they will never believe you but still be nice to you . I can speak about isfjs for ever,I have learned so much from being around them my whole life ,without an isfj in my life I would probably completely retire to live in my head ,they make me see the world for what it is not what I want it to be like. One thing I have noticed about living with isfjs is that they are not all super weird about cleaning ( not my mom though she reminds me of Monica from friends)
“They know everything about everybody,” this is very true! I think the reason for this is because as an ISFJ, I am a very keen observer of the world around me as well as interactions between people.... I can quickly tell how a person is feeling just by observing their communication and usually know what to say to put them at ease and it’s just natural.
I am also ISFJ but i do not know "everything" about everybody. It's just too much to claim. Women understand body language 3 times better than men so a woman ISFJ may indeed be able to learn a lot by observing, but a man not as much. At least not the man typing this haha. As for the "being nice", and the pleasant exterior (which could be mistaken as fake), i absolutely agree! lol at the Monica part :)
I'm an ISFJ, and everything you said is so true. I have been called fake a few times, and it hurt because I'm not fake. I really like how you broke it down. The part about lying cracks me up because I always catch people lying (they lie to me because since I'm nice they think I'm not smart or know that I won't call them on it) and I simply cannot bear to call them out. I think it's because I don't want to embarass them or be involved in confrontation...uggh! Really hate confrontation!!!
I'm an ISFJ! I think you were pretty spot on! I feel like no one really talks much about ISFJ's because people almost see us as just nice, but kind of boring people. But once you get to really know us (when we let you) we can actually be fun and interesting! We just have many layers and you have to work to get to know the real us. :)
This is the best representation of an ISFJ. Being nice is a principle and we don’t need anything in return. Being nice is like brushing teeth in the morning - it’s something that we do because it’s the right thing to do.
As an isfj my biggest difficulty with other people is to be taken for granted, I think it is my biggest fear in many ways, so sometimes I might change my mood on purpose just to show people that I am a human too and must be respected for that.
Spot on. I am an ISFJ. I stand by my principles even if they are not popular. I value rest in order to wake up rejuvenated to offer the best service. I rarely want to talk or see to anyone when my energy levels are low. I guess because I might not offer the best service to such. Thank you for such an excellent analysis of an ISFJ
Oh my goodness. This is soooo true. ISFJs aren’t keeping people at a distance or avoiding events because they don’t want to spend time with people, it’s because they don’t want to bring their own baggage into a situation that hinders their ability to uplift the group energy. We don’t ever want to be a burden on anyone.
My boyfriend is an ISFJ and I'm really proud of how he is. He's very reliable. He does what he says. Little sleep or money or problems wont be an issue to him. Once, he was a leader of an org and promised to extend help fixing facilities in a public school, many promised to come but only 2 of them appeared. His member told him to just cancel, but he told him "no, even if am alone, I'll go." Very ISFJ!! He knows when to be quiet and when to stand up for things. He is the defender of his friends. That's why people love and respect him at the same time. He has a lot of friends, a social introvert. ISFJs and INFP relationship worked pretty well, understanding that we're both sensitive and needs respect. There's a time I let him read a story I wrote. He just scanned it and praised me for the effort but I was disappointed he didnt even read it! Then I learned that he's not really into abstract. So everytime I write, I'll just say it and wont expect him to read it. But boy, he remembers my work commitments etc more than me. Also, my ISFJ bf taught me to do less overthinking (INFP problems) and just act on it. Dont bother thinking the nonexistent problems. He's such a blessing. Love ISFJs!!! -love from INFP
I like how you said “if an ISFJ says they will do it they will do it and if they say they will be there they will be there. They are committed to their word.” That is SO true of me....I’m ISFJ. I am careful to speak because I own my words and I keep my word. Which is awesome because people can depend on me and rely on me; but often puts me in a position where I’m taken advantage of for being reliable. I get burned a lot because I’m always there when people need me and people are generally not the same lol. I’m finding that very few people in the world actually keep their word....and it’s discouraging.
YES. I just want to be happy. Especially with when I’m on a dating app. I hate it because I don’t like dealing with the drama of dating. I just want to find someone, be happy & just fall in love.
Yep you're spot on describing me. Noises can be irritating, and I have to have music in my life. Sensory things are vital to my happiness. I hear everything. Voices too, if you're a loud talker or talk incessantly, ugh, it's so hard to like you. I like being organized at work, but at home I prefer things to be clean, not necessarily organized. I get up very early because I like the quiet and can get things done without rushing which is another thing that I try to avoid. Great video Meghan, very insightful!
I'm so sensitive I always wondered how can hear things others can't. I once heard my phone vibrate while the door was half closed I think and tv was on if I'm remembering correctly my grandmother was shocked I was able to hear it.
I’m an ISFJ and I CANT STAND when people are late. It takes a lot for me to confront someone about being late. It really gets on my nerves because I feel like my time isn’t viewed as valuable when I view their time as valuable. And I also have a sensitivity to hearing people eat. Misophonia is what google calls it...
My isfj sister is so scary when she's angry. I'm infj and she calls me out on my bs and she doesn't care about speaking up more so than I do. She's so reliable though. Her judgements are hilarious because she comments on things that I overlook. She has a lot of patience and control with people and I admire that. Like I always felt like she was so wise beyond her years because of that.
I got a deeper understanding of my friend. He really does "devote his time" to helping me and I should feel honored that he does that for me. He really doesn't need anything from me, he simply wants me to know that he is there for me.
36 year old ISFJ-A here. 98% introverted, 91% observant, 68% feeling, 63% judging and 75% assertive. 2 absolute truths about myself are 1.) My word is my bond & 2.) I lead by example. I'm a problem solver and a natural caregiver. Unlike other ISFJs though, I am friendless and have been for a very long time. I've learned not to rely on others and don't need anyone to be "happy". I serve others of my own volition and I choose to do so without ulterior motive.
I’m ISFJ and you SPOKE my truth. You “get” me! Service, duty, self-care, don’t need others much, but want to help and teach. Yep. 👍🏼 I literally fantasize about what I would write on a post-it note for someone who shirked their duty, but rarely actually leave one.
We are always prepared and ready for what comes at us especially at work. We look at things from every possible angle to be ready to solve problems thoroughly. We do judge, though only in terms of collecting data about everyone and everything. We never see one side of the problem, we see both sides which helps us to solve problems so easily. We are protective of the people that are in our family, our friends, and coworkers and will fight to the end for them, though we won't fight for ourselves - this is a major problem.
Loved this. I’m an ISFJ. However I despise passive aggression and I’d never (almost never) leave a passive aggressive post it note...unless I had tried every other form of communication and used that at last resort. I think this is just “me” thing, as I do think ISFJs can be passive aggressive. Personally, I find myself stuck sometimes because I hate conflict and injustice and i always want to resolve it. But since I hate conflict, when the communication becomes challenging or uncivil sometimes I shut down and can’t deal with anything.
I am ISFJ-T, and yes I can be friendly to everyone, but my real friends are not so common. And yes you are right for most of the stuff. amazing observation.
My sister is ISFJ and my best friend 😊 We’ve lived together in an apartment for a couple of years, and our worst arguments have been about cleaning 😅 If you’re an ENFP living with an ISFJ, just remember keeping your word on household chores is vital 😬 and doing little things around the house unprompted makes them very happy 😉
This is so spot on. My ISFJ friends indeed don't plan commiting to projects/tests etc nearly as much as they pla social interactions. It always amazes me how they actually think about people in an objective point of view. If they get into a fight it's probably isn't because they were upset at that specific moment, but more because it's what should be done in order to clear their emotional state. And man are they loyal, my Mom, an ISFJ, still references her dad's good deeds as pure reason for living her life the way she does, which is just so much different that what Fi's loyalty is. Still I sometimes just wish they could just be who they are. I know they can be a bit cold and have an unpopular opinion (Ti), but it would be really great to see such a reserved person speak their minds every now and then, especially since their opinions are so thorough and well thought out. How about ISTJs next? I know they don't really flow your way, but maybe thinking about this type's positive impact on your life would inspire you for the remaining types!
My boyfriend is an ISFJ, I'm an INTP, this video is completely accurate and helpful. I really appreciate the insight and the way you explore ISFJ qualities in such a positive lens. Meghan, I love your work! Keep these videos coming.
I am an ISFJ and I agree with this wholeheartedly! I used to be passive aggressive when I was younger cause I wanted to call people out for lying to me but as I got older I had to force myself to speak up and tell people what I need them to do so I was able to become more assertive as I got older. One thing I will say, when you mentioned about how we do make sure we only take on what we can handle, I don't know about other ISFJs but for me personally if there is a situation that has to be done and I am short on rest I will do it. Best example I can give...my dad passed in November and in the 2 days he was in hospice I got maybe 6-8 hours of sleep over those 2 days. Taking care of him until he died was more important than me getting sleep. Ironically it was this happening that I learned to be assertive. I didn't care what people thought of me cause I went through the hardest moment of my life. My personality is still the same, but now my perspective has changed. I still have moments where I don't want to speak up for myself but I know I have to or else my life will be more difficult.
I'm an ISFJ - T & I agree with pretty much everything you said. I believe in my principles & beliefs. I am very clean. I love cleanliness. I don't have many "friends' but I have the best. I have a big heart & I take everything to heart. I feel more than I think. I don't make plans if I can't come through with them. I take peoples' words very seriously. Anti Social - Social I enjoy my alone time but I also like to mingle every now and then. Nothing too crazy. There's a lot more I just can't think of them right now lol
I recently, not too long ago wrote a list of what makes me fulfilled and most, perhaps 90 percent of that list consisted of helping others. It's not because I am a good person, I'm not, but it seriously makes me feel happy and I do it because I feel like I have a role to play to contribute and make a impact. You hit it on the spot with being outwardly socially interactive with strangers and friends with anyone but to become in our inner circle takes a lot more time to accept. I like keeping my word, and take it seriously so that was also true for me. I like keeping organized but I can also be messy, and when my room is messy or my life is a mess I don't feel capable of taking care of others unless I get my room cleaned or get my life in order (budget, sleep, eat properly, emotionally and mentally well), THEN I feel better and more giving to others. If not I don't feel as though I could help others to the best of my abilities. Thanks for making this video. It was fun to watch ☺️ Also side note: Never have I ever left a passive aggressive post it note lol I think that it's better to tell a person directly than to write a note unless you really couldn't get a hold of that person then maybe :P.
This is insane. I can't believe you just said all this. How did you know all this? You just described me to a T. And tbh a lot of it kind of pisses me off about me. I feel so conflicted about so many things that I do. I've kind of always wondered about it. Like I seriously feel an obligation to be nice to EVERYONE. But what's weird, is that I don't think most people (at least if they don't know me at all) really even see that I'm being nice, or at least courteous and respectful. I sincerely believe everyone deserves respect, everyone deserves a chance, and so I give it to everyone, even if you're a stranger to me and I'm just now meeting you. I will always give you the benefit of the doubt. Uggh, why do I even do that, it takes so much energy lol. But even something stupid and dumb like going through the drive through, I make it a point to say thank you and try to be nice to this person I don't know or care about handing me my food. And it's always awkward because I kind of treat them as if I already know them (I like to treat anyone as if they're a good person even if I don't know them) and I think it weirds them out a little, like why are you being nice to me, I don't even know you. Haha. I have to though. I don't know how else to act. Also, it's so true about being picky and selective with who I let in to my life. I treat every relationship with so much energy that I only want to do that with certain people. I don't want to waste it on just anyone, especially if I don't think they deserve it. And it's funny about having friends who kind of think it's an honor. I get the feeling with my friends. I think because I'm so nice to my friends and easy to get along with and fun to hang out with they always want me around. I feel like they think it's kind of special that I'm their friend. Maybe I'm too nice, I don't know. I guess I just treat people how I would want to be treated - to everyone. I definitely have principles. It's funny for me to hear you talk about that. I've never really thought that anyone would act differently. Like how could someone not keep their word? What?! Why would someone do that? That's how I think. When I say I'm going to do something of course I'm going to do it! That's like an assault on my integrity if I didn't. I take my words to people extremely seriously. I just think it's respectful. But what's weird is that I don't think most other people give a crap. I think that bothers me too. When people don't care as much as I do. I feel like they should and it's not nice when they don't. I don't know. I'm conflicted. But I like this video. It's all so accurate. Thanks.
Can not stand ppl who cant keep their words. Why ever say anything in the first place? I lose trust as soon as someone does that, or ill just think theyre doing it to beg for attention. Ill act like they never existed or do something else to be annoying. Like mirror them. Or do something else off putting
I am an ISFJ and I think your summary was excellent, I related very much to the things you described and I also found it touching that you have taken the time to truly understand the various personality types you’ve encountered and have tried to take something positive from all of them. I think that’s a very good idea
I am an ISFJ, and yes I have left a note before when I felt misunderstood by my family and others. I am not one for confrontation and it takes me a good while for something to get under my skin. Absolutely true about wanting to take care of my needs (sleep, food, etc.) before helping others so that I can give my ultimate best. I used to say to myself, 'people can talk about me, but if they say anything about my family, they're in trouble'. Loyal to a fault, responsible, and patient is what others have described me. Thank you for this video! You have been the only person I know so far who has hit on some major characteristics of me and other ISFJs. Thank you for taking the time to understand me.
Love your video! Im an isfj and you were spot on! I hate loud noises. I can handle for a short time then it kills my head. I love my music loud when I listen to what I like tho. Thanks
I am an ISFj and I can totally relate to being able to see through people. I often don't say it to their faces and keep it to myself and just keep a mental note... Usually my instincts are correct. P.s. I've never left a post it note lol! 😂
Yup we ISFJ usually reserve the judgement until what we thought is true and(or) actually happening... and our Observing skills is like the laser, could penetrate past their outer appearances
I agree on hating of those who makes weird noises while eating and about need more alone time so i am at my best when socializing and helping people. And i give my service for free. I dont need anything in return. Which they found me “fake” well we exist.
This was sooo accurate! Even the part where your ISFJ roommate said that loud sensory noises (chewing) was something that overwhelmed her. That is something that I relate to, and I literally laughed when you said that.😄 -ISFJ
As a isfj I know I am usually misunderstood. Many people think I'm cold and heartless but I'm really not. I just don't show people an emotional side because they tend to use it against me later on.
I haven't heard much about ISFJ's. I think one of my best friends is an ISFJ. Very quiet principled and reliable. Always makes sure everythings good on his end to help others or hanging out. Very dedicated to a schedule and waking up early.
That comparison with “ntps” with all shared functions is right on. I feel cognitively closer to them than other types. I always get along with Intp and entp (even entps debating entertains me - they don’t take themselves too seriously).
I’m an ISFJ It made me laugh when u mentioned the pickiness 😭 and how ur roommate asked u to stop! I’ve been nagging my parents and family on flipping the spices and medication to have the names on front, on how clean the bathroom/spoons/plates should be and why ppl make weird noises and loud slams
Wow. the point you made about ISFJs staying true to their principles and being nice to everyone because it's the right thing to do is sooo accurate. i feel an obligation to be nice to everyone, even people i don't like. and people will ask me, "what do you want from me?" because of this, and i don't know what to say because i really don't want anything. if someone's being mean to me, i'll continue to be nice to them because i hope to turn them into a nicer person by showing them that positivity, but i can see how it comes off as fake and having ulterior motives. i don't know. i think what i learned from this video is to not care about others' opinions of myself because other people don't have context about you.
I'm an ISFJ, agree about always endeavouring to keep my word, can't be perfect though. I get tempted like anybody else to judge, to be upset, to feel bitter, to feel guilty, to be afraid, but (just talking for myself not others) when I recognize mental habits that don't benefit me or others I get honest and work on those and replace them, what happens is that I don't necessarily share that process with others unless they would benefit learning from them, which may give an appearance of not having issues, which is not the case. I just prefer sharing what's profitable and necessary for others, but we definitely struggle with life like anybody else.
ISFJ here. Related to each and every point you mentioned (except for the passive agressive note... So far I haven't been in a situation where I would have to use it.. plus it's better not to leave a physical evidence of such loss of control over my emotions 😂😂)
I always underestimated ISFJs. They just seemed too common, plain, nice, simple, boring and not much interested in many things. But as I learn more about them and understand them, I really appreciate their approach to life. And my respect has only increased like how you respect your mother more the older you get.
ISFJ's are nice... "I guess"... Thank you for that. We are very selective with friends and couples, and very picky in general. Our principles rule our life. But we procrastinate a lot and even thou we manage to do things in time, most of the times and when we can't we get pissed off. And noises I think they really bother us if we can hear them or if we think they might be bothering other people. I personally focus on growing professionally apart from growing as a person like that's one of my goals in life. So yeah, that was pretty accurate, we can be a bit severe sometimes but just because our internal guide leads us to do so. A grown ISFJ should be aware of this and try to control it. Good insight.
As an ISFJ, I agree that I am very particular about the fights I get into as well as people in my life that I'll defend, so it doesn't happen often. Although when it does get to that point it becomes the hill I die on. For me I feel like that's both one of my better and worse traits.
I think your analysis is spot on, and it's frankly impressive you came up with it mostly by living with a roommate for only one year. About the cleanliness thing; a mess anywhere in the house seems to be a distraction from the actual work or studying that needs to be done. Almost as if there's a requirement to appease the right side of the brain first, before being able to efficiently use the left one for logic. I've been working on this lately, but it's still very much a... feature. :) Tidying up the room or apartment also serves as a comforting routine. It gives a little bit of structure to life and I always feel a lot more at ease after things are again where they should be. This can vary a lot between people though - my place is usually tidy on the surface, but just don't open the closets... As for passive-aggressive, yes that's a thing too, ugh. :/ Like you pointed out, it likely has its roots in conflict avoidance. Alone time is important because it really is like recharging batteries. Constantly occurring social situations drain them, as you're wired to be considerate towards other people. Not doing so for someone who doesn't deserve to be ill-treated, will just result in an obvious negative reaction from them, and then you'd end up wondering why did you have to make that person feel bad. A slap in your own face. It's a loud conscience kind of thing. It's pretty much the same with friendships. Having a ton of friends means you'd never be able to help them all when they need it, while remaining sane. Best to have just a select few, and then help them whenever you can, however you can. Good friends are invaluable, and I've chosen mine for life. The general notion that ISFJ's always keep up a good front has some truth to it, but I'd say it also depends a lot on the people who are in that situation. Much in the same way that the playful (or goofy) humour is reserved only to the closest ones, other strong emotional reactions are usually too. It just seems to take a really comfortable environment to do that for some reason. Just my 2 cents. This is a good channel, keep it up. :)
So true. I'm an ISFJ. I'm picky with making friends & getting into conflicts. I just want peace & harmony. And I'm kind to be Kind...not because I want or expect something in return.
8:14 hahahahahahehhh totally have never done that to my family before.... This description is really well done. I feel so overly complimented. Thank you XD I wish I can say I was a neat freak though. I keep my stuff out of other peoples space, but my room is a whole other story.
I like your honest observation abt ISFJ. I feel like you know me...hearing you talk...i kind of saying yes you are right about it...I really am picky with people....not that they are wrong it just that it more like it is what I like. You are also correct in saying...we kind of limit ourselves sometimes so that when we help...we will be there 100 %. We dont want to give just for the sake of it...we want to do things because it is the right thing to do....thank you for showing us ISFJ in a positive way....thank you.
I often over commit but will see it through because I said and planned to do it. I do know when I hit my max and need to stop. I have a lot of acquaintances but not a lot of friends. I car pooled with a coworker for two years and didn’t realize we were friends until she threw my baby shower. I had a roommate that I got up every morning and made her coffee and packed her lunch because she didn’t see the importance of eating. I can totally understand the eating too loudly. I can’t be around my husband when he eats or chews his nails and I will ask him to be aware of my needs.
My current roommate is super ISFJ and super passive aggressive. And she also makes it her job to mother me and keeps me from having my socks whiter than my shoes or my fingernail paint chipped. 😌🤞
I'm an INTP with an ISFJ for a mother and I learned the passive-aggressive post-it-note method from her but my notes are more aggressive-aggressive haha
You are describing me so accurately !!! I come across your channel just now, and this is also the first time I heard this term IFSJ, it gave me a deeper understanding of my personality. Great video, thanks :-)!
OMG - you are "spot on" - I am an ISFJ and resonated on every point you made, including being irritated with people making noises when eating. 😂 Thanks so much for doing this video--loved it!
If an ISFJ makes fun of you, congratulations, you have made it to the inner circle.
Same here ! ESFJ and if I make fun of people in a mild mode it means that I friended you.
'" I feel like it's an honour if an ISFJ wants to be your friend..because they really thought it through before deciding.. they dont let people in that much. "
That describes me perfectly :O

An ISFJ does not speak out on something often. But whenever that occurs, it is 100% thought through thoroughly. And they will stand by their words. This is true for every ISFJ in my life =)
ISFJs are the most conscientious, industrious, and caring people in this combination.
So true we like to think before we comment
@@ReapeX: Thanks for the reminder.
Realising the truth about someone else and getting them to help themselves are two very different things.
I am an ISFJ , thank you for the video it really says a lot
to my Fellow ISFJ Companions: Learn how to speak up your mind , you can see the big picture , you can read people , you have all the skills in the world to do whatever you want to do and make this World a better place , just LEARN HOW TO SPEAK UP and believe me you will see a Phenomenal change in your life , I learned that through Self Improvement and I'm here to help anyone of you who is willing to make a change. thank you
Do you have any tips on how to begin speaking your mind
The hardest thing for me is to speak up my mind :/
Wow. Thank you.
I need that change, tell me more please..
I procrastinated today by going to shop and buying tomatoes so I could make a salad for my family's dinner. That seems pretty ISFJ to me lol
Im one of those procrastinators. Ive written over a dozen essays overnight that were due the next day. Still never got lower than a B tho
ISFJ like any other human can procrastinate but we are really loyal to our duty and service.
Great! I though I was the only ISFJ who procrastinate a lot. 😂
THIS. as an Isfj, THIS IS ACCURATE.
Oh my gosh, i started laughing here because that's so me XD
I'm an ISFJ! I think you were pretty spot on! I feel like no one really talks much about ISFJ's because people almost see us as just nice, but kind of boring people. But once you get to really know us (when we let you) we can actually be fun and interesting! We just have many layers and you have to work to get to know the real us. :)
yes, as an isfj, i know we can be a funny person, only that we let you in our circle of inner layers
True 💯
This is the best representation of an ISFJ. Being nice is a principle and we don’t need anything in return. Being nice is like brushing teeth in the morning - it’s something that we do because it’s the right thing to do.
Yes!! I am glad you resonated. :)
As an isfj my biggest difficulty with other people is to be taken for granted, I think it is my biggest fear in many ways, so sometimes I might change my mood on purpose just to show people that I am a human too and must be respected for that.
Really true. Love your profile pic.
ISFJ is such a stable personality living up to their principles, and their word. Love ISFJs!!! -from an INFP
Mariel Venice Cabanatan thank you!
YES. I just want to be happy. Especially with when I’m on a dating app. I hate it because I don’t like dealing with the drama of dating. I just want to find someone, be happy & just fall in love.
Oh my god, yes!! I joined some dating apps and to be honest, I really don't like it. I find way too pushy in a way.
I feel violated by how piercingly accurate you described me as an ISFJ. Bravo.
Misophonia is what google calls it...
im an ISFJ and also dont like the sound of chewing!
They're definitely one of my favorite types. Some the most underrated people in my opinion, along with istjs.
Same observation to ISFJs!!
Yep. 👍🏼
I literally fantasize about what I would write on a post-it note for someone who shirked their duty, but rarely actually leave one.
I’m truly agree with you on ISFJ. We live with our principles. I like my things in order and scheduled. I’ll get crazy if things out from my plan
ESFJ here saluting my fellow ISFJs ! They are the most courageous perseverant and honest ! They act by the heart. I admire them.
I’m an ISFJ and I really loved this! All these things you said are so true, and it’s nice to know that there are people who notice and appreciate them
I am ISFJ-T, and yes I can be friendly to everyone, but my real friends are not so common. And yes you are right for most of the stuff. amazing observation.
My sister is ISFJ and my best friend 😊
We’ve lived together in an apartment for a couple of years, and our worst arguments have been about cleaning 😅
If you’re an ENFP living with an ISFJ, just remember keeping your word on household chores is vital 😬 and doing little things around the house unprompted makes them very happy 😉
Great understanding 😃
I'm sorry for your loss.
Anti Social - Social
I enjoy my alone time but I also like to mingle every now and then. Nothing too crazy.
There's a lot more I just can't think of them right now lol
Bang on!!!!
I’m an ISFJ. It was nice to hear thoughtful things about us. Thanks!
I'm an ISFJ but my principle was 'not to do cleaning unless it was unacceptable'
Am I the only weird person? But the rest were totally spot on!
me too
I’m a ISFJ & you described me PERFECTLY. Good video.
As an ISFJ this was spot on
My father is an isfj and yes, he is very reliable and disciplined, knows his need for alone time and sleep.
As an Isfj, this is absolutely on point. Thank you for this video! You really nailed it!
Thanks.
I totally get what you're saying. I used to think I was such an oddball, but now I see that other people have my personality traits.
As an ISFJ that’s true about my dependability and my word.
spot on
05:10 picky to invest energy & emotions
06:05 friendship
07:05 we don't need anything from you
08:05 passive aggressive
“Self-righteous” is spot on!
ISFJ here; well done! Fits perfectly to a T.
Love your video! Im an isfj and you were spot on! I hate loud noises. I can handle for a short time then it kills my head. I love my music loud when I listen to what I like tho. Thanks
I'm so happy there are a lot of ISFJs in the world!!!
9 minutes in and I feel like you've described me better than any test ever... so weird.
I agree on hating of those who makes weird noises while eating and about need more alone time so i am at my best when socializing and helping people. And i give my service for free. I dont need anything in return. Which they found me “fake” well we exist.
I'm an Isfj! Thanks for understanding us☺
Thanks for understanding us well. Good job. iSFJ rocks!
This was sooo accurate!
Even the part where your ISFJ roommate said that loud sensory noises (chewing) was something that overwhelmed her. That is something that I relate to, and I literally laughed when you said that.😄
-ISFJ
great video! I'm an ISFJ and this was so on point:)
Oh my goodness,
you kept saying phrases that I say to myself on a daily basis. You’re so observant. I’m so impressed.
Meghan you are so spot on! I loved what you said about leaving "passive/aggressive" post notes. Thank you for a lovely video! Peace
I'm an ISFJ, hugs from 🇧🇷 🤗
Wow. the point you made about ISFJs staying true to their principles and being nice to everyone because it's the right thing to do is sooo accurate. i feel an obligation to be nice to everyone, even people i don't like. and people will ask me, "what do you want from me?" because of this, and i don't know what to say because i really don't want anything. if someone's being mean to me, i'll continue to be nice to them because i hope to turn them into a nicer person by showing them that positivity, but i can see how it comes off as fake and having ulterior motives. i don't know. i think what i learned from this video is to not care about others' opinions of myself because other people don't have context about you.
Thanks for the video! This ISFJ needed the positive and encouraging words😊
Omg thats so me🥰🥰 thank u for the good comment about isfj.. while watching you ive realized that so mee🤗🤗🤗isfj here😊
I'm an ISFJ, agree about always endeavouring to keep my word, can't be perfect though.
I’m an ISFJ and you were spot on with your observation!
I am a isfj and you were spot on. I could see myself being described in this video.
Thanks, Meghan. Great video of an ISFJ. It's very accurate.
We have shields up, most of the time.
Omg. Door slamming. Please turn the knob!
As an ISFJ, I agree that I am very particular about the fights I get into as well as people in my life that I'll defend, so it doesn't happen often. Although when it does get to that point it becomes the hill I die on. For me I feel like that's both one of my better and worse traits.
You got all right , for me personally. ☺️
I've been working on this lately, but it's still very much a... feature. :)
Tidying up the room or apartment also serves as a comforting routine.
You just totally clarified my guy is an ESFJ.
Now I’m unsure if I actually am an isfj but the whole mouth noise thing and passive aggressiveness is very relatable.
We dont want to give just for the sake of it...we want to do things because it is the right thing to do....thank you for showing us ISFJ in a positive way....thank you.
as soon as you said "don't like hearing people chew" and that one girl told you to quite down.... LOOOL thats me
I am an ISFJ and i can say you hit it straight.
I'm an ISFJ and I'm just figuring this out. I'm diving deep and researching. You described me to a T . Love it. So glad I came across your channel. Xo
I'm ISFJ and everything you said is 100% true.
me too isfj-t and i have only few great friends
this video is like a self reflected me
i see myself
thank you,
My current roommate is super ISFJ and super passive aggressive. And she also makes it her job to mother me and keeps me from having my socks whiter than my shoes or my fingernail paint chipped. 😌🤞
Im an isfj. The video matched me so well, even the passive aggressive part unfortunately lol.
haha! Thank you
Don't give to other people unless you fill up your own cup first.. that's holy word
you know me more than I do know myself
This was so on point it was eery ;0
Thank you very much for your very accurate description of me! So so true and good to hear this appreciation of isfj
As an ISFJ, I admit that I definitely have left a passive aggressive Post-It note or two. :P
Just did my personality test and thanks for sharing
ISFJ here! Spot on!
I'm an INTP with an ISFJ for a mother and I learned the passive-aggressive post-it-note method from her but my notes are more aggressive-aggressive haha
Loving this series so far
You are describing me so accurately !!! I come across your channel just now, and this is also the first time I heard this term IFSJ, it gave me a deeper understanding of my personality. Great video, thanks :-)!
OMG - you are "spot on" - I am an ISFJ and resonated on every point you made, including being irritated with people making noises when eating. 😂 Thanks so much for doing this video--loved it!
