Both my best friend and younger sister are INFPs. One thing I notice about them is that they have strong emotions. When they're down, they're *really* down there. When they're pissed off, everyone would know that they're mad. But at their peak, they are very hardworking & dedicated. Once they set their mind on something, they would do whatever and endure whatever they need to achieve it. They also always know what they want in terms of career / education goals. They're also very into art, as you said. They are very passionate people & they will let you know that you are appreciated - which is such a good thing for me an ISFJ 🤣 that's my observation on my experience with 2 INFPs in my life. Thank you for this video 💕
Infp here. Oh no i live with istp and estp. Ya i spend alot of time in my room. Istp is super sweet and genuine. Hes in his room mostly or gone fishing. Estp is all over the house. Hes Overly friendly. Noisy. Ajways has tv on. Sings loudly in the shower. Makes sure everyone hears his super loud phone convos where he puts on the "listen to me having the best time ever" fake laugh. Calls me dude. Lol. Hes no harm tho. I have learned to put my headphones on whe i walk thru the common areas and no eye contact. So clearly im the a-hole. I just dont have time to be engaged in nonsense in the hallway just inches away from the comfort of the other side of my door. Poor guy. He realy needs a nap.
Really good analysis, btw I'm an INFP and my gf is an ESFJ while my best friend is an INTP and close friends who happen to be 4 ENFP's. There is also a close ISTP friend of mine whom I get along with but is very different from me. I think that INTP, ENFP and ESFJ/ENFJ are probably the most helpful to INFP ( at least in my case) in terms of growth and personal development since their functions can complement very well.
I don't get all this. I've taken a few online tests. Two of them came back INTJ. One came back INTP. I took CS Joseph's test yesterday and he says I'm INFP. What you say here describes me pretty well. But I think of myself as a very logical person: I'm a software developer, I have a mathematics degree, I love philosophy...but I do tend to fall into daydreaming, especially whenever I experience emotions. Like I have to explore them for awhile or something. My thinking ability becomes very weak and it's hard to concentrate. How do I really figure out my type? Does each person have a singular type or does it change over time or with mood or circumstances. It's a scientifically proven fact that a person's personality can change drastically under drastically different conditions.
There is a debate here - in general, social psychology defines personality as a thing that changes. But MBTI is more about "psychological type" than "personality" per se, so according to this theory, your type does not change. I can really recommend reading "Psychological Types" by Jung and J. Beebe's model on cognitive functions.
So how do you relate to INFPs?

I feel like I’m an INTP and an INFP I make most of my decisions based on my emotions but I am completely detached from my values
