I have most of the issues you mentioned. Not being careful with my parting in the beginning and tenderheadedness are the biggest for me. Enjoyed your delivery - you are very entertaining💕
I think if you go to a good Loctician a few times she’ll help you with your reties you’ll have to go longer in between they do it faster that we can on our own and it looks a heck of a lot neater too, I was doing my own but I alternate between my Loctician and retieing myself. You’re not over reacting I feel you lol
It's like looking at the top of my own head. Our hair looks so similar. And YES! to the new tenderheadedness! Sis! That shedding is definitely hand-in-hair-syndrome aka over-manipulation. From everything you've said though, I think your locs are progressing just fine. The only thing you might want to change is the HIHS. You might be better off just putting your locs away in a permanent top bun or some style that doesn't let you have access to them, until they are way more mature.
I am eight months into my journey. I dread reties cause of the time but if i have something to watch i will do it. The unevenness, i have that though as my microlocs are maturing, its filling out well. Dry scalp is something i dont like and i will oil my scalp but it will still itch after one or two days. Overall i am just trusting the process
Thanks for watching 😍 Congrats on your journey almost a year hooray!! Dry scalp issues i combat with raw aloe Vera gel and some oils and now I do nothing most days and my scalp is 😃 I usually wake up 2 hrs before my kiddos and Retie with come murder shows and it goes faster but I can’t do it in front of a mirror so my parts are 🗑. Trusting the process along with you good luck on your journey am sure it’s lovely!
Congrats on your new journey. And yes hair growing out of Locs Is the worst but am hoping as my Locs mature and settle the hair will behave but it’s all hopes
