I can't believe it took me this long to watch this movie...had I known how incredible it was, I would have watched it years ago! Not only does Hoffman deliver a performance of a lifetime, this should go down as one of the best performances of any actor! Every minute of this movie kept me captivated and mesmerized! An absolute must see... several times over!!
Yes, it was a phenomenal movie in every aspect of the art form. Most notably Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s self transformation and legendary performance. I think it’s sad that this caliber of film no longer exists. Everything is just… less than mediocre.
This is one of the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman's best performances. He disappears into the role so fittingly about the famous author. Even writing non fiction can have someone only after the story write their own fiction without regards to the facts.
I believe his stunning vocal transformation for this role led to a trend of similar stunning turns like Daniel Day in There Will be Blood as well as Heath Ledger as the Joker
Superlatives are inadequate to describe Hoffman’s performance as Capote! Almost as if he was channeling the man. His performance surpasses mimicking speech patterns and mannerisms, it’s almost as if he shared Capote’s specific strengths and weaknesses. Going back and watching video clips of Capote, it’s spooky. Hoffman was helped by good writing.
I saw this for the first time a few years ago on just on on our local community channel in Perth, such an epic movie and performance from Hoffman. Surprised it doesn't receive the outwardly praise it deserves like Brokeback Mountain Gets despite this being a far superior film.
This and the trailer for Walk The Line played every single day on television and as a kid, I would always get them confused. Then MadTV did a sketch crossing them over and it broke my brain.
Many seem to admire Hoffman´s quirky acting. Actress Catherine Keener played Nelle Harper Lee in the movie & the cell-scene with Lowell was dark. Actor Robert Blake played Smith in the film In Cold Blood (1967).
It is fantastic…..In Infamous ..another Capote film Toby Jones was also fantastic. He actually was 5’5”…whereas Seymour was 5’10”…I think they filmed it in a way that he seemed short. In Feud Capote vs The Swans…Tom Hollander is also 5’5”. He is great too as Capote.
RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman (July 23, 1967 - February 2, 2014), aged 46
You will be remembered as a legend.

Hoffman is one of the greatest artists to live and one of the saddest losses.

He nailed the character of Truman Capote. .
RIP Phillip Seymour Hoffman Amazing actor
Piliphs Hoffman
I just loved him..one of the best ACTORS OUT THERE..we miss you greatly
Hoffman was a truly great actor! Truman was just one of the greatest writers!
My favorite two actors of all the both of them are gone but thier legacy will live forever:
REST IN PEACE
1. Philip Seymour Hoffman
2. Heath Ledger
Truman was ruthless with his gossip it hurt so many people
Can't believe it's been so long since this was released.
Rest in paradise, P.

How and why?

What a talent Phillip Seymour Hoffman was. Such a loss and such a shame he couldn't surmount his demons.
He Sounds Like Mrs Doubtfire Because Robin Williams Did His Inpression Of Truman Capote!
“United Artists and Sony Pictures Classics presents. Phillip Seymour Hoffman. “Capote”.”
Hoffman is the best classic actor
It's a great film so well done ❤ RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman 😢
I can't believe this film is nearly 20 years old.
Why have I never watched this masterpiece ?
Porque a mídia só fala na montanha Brokemountain e nem da ênfase nos outros filmes.
I hope you have. If you haven't, it's an incredible film. Hoffman was never better.
bar none, the best Capote impersonation ever.
plan on watching after I finish Feud season 2

A great movie.

It's amazing 👏
looks good..
spectacular
In the end I get angry. Such a God-given talent, he had no right to risk his life on drugs as though it were worthless.
We all do. One of the most sensational actors of this timr. They don't make them like that anymore
Why isn't this entire movie not available here to Rent or Buy?!
